not yet, that's why our initial bump this time around is bigger (and interest rates are much lower making alternate investments like bonds/treasuries less atractive)

but there isn't enough money in the world to make some of these large-cap stocks worth the kind of valuation they are trading at

Mike I agree but it is what it is and this is the way the market feels so i say we don't argue against it, we just go with it

Bought AYX at 109, Crowdstrike 95, ABEV 2.42, LCA 12.52

Sold positions in Activision blizzard and Starbucks.

if any of the above I feel is going to pop is LCA.

LQDT saw gains this week. Not selling, still more room to grow. This economy is tanking and offices are about to start liquidating. Should be another dip coming soon and adding more. I’m more risk tolerance adverse with upside and ABEV and LQDT are my top stocks I trust in that regard. It’s pretty apparent corporate offices are gonna start selling any asset they can find so buy the next LQDT dip and be patient.

If you buy Tesla and don’t manage a hedge fund or rely on stocks for short term profit why would you sell? I don’t understand. Please explain...

I owned it then and sold because I despise the head guy's antics so much. It was behaving like a 3x leveraged ETF which I hated. Oh well.

OK this week I was expecting the market to start heading south and in a sense it has even though it hasn't broken down past the trend yet so the trend is still my friend until it isn't. The stimulus deal from congress has stalled and I do expect the market to weigh in as the market has absolutely priced in the deal and without it, it will surely turn over and head south. I don't think there will be a deal until the market heads south and scares people and more importantly the members of congress. Then and only then will they get together and pass some kind of deal. Until that catalyst it just ain't gonna happen. Lets look at what I did this week.

I hardly have any positions so we'll be looking at them in alphabetical order:

    AU: AngloGold Ashanti Limited

I sold short after the gold prices plunged and the stock looks like good short term short play. I also bought some gold stocks and this is part of a hedge during the time when gold is slightly out of favor and is pulling back. If it pulls back down to $27.39 I'll short 50 more shares. Set the stop at $29.43 which is in the gap from Mondays plunge. If I get stopped out. I'm back long at $30.33 after the gap is filled and it climbs above resistance.

I was in and out of this one real quick. I still like it and will be coming back in probably during the week if the market is in rally past the ATH of the S&P mode. Until then I'll be in the hesitant camp and have a we'll see attitude until it breaks above $9.13. At that point I will jump in unless the overall ship is sinking and the market is in panic selling mode.

GDX: VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF

I started buying this one after Gold dropped out of the sky on Monday. I still think Gold has a little bit more to pull back and consolidate on. I do expect the pullback to not last too long however so that is why I started to pick up some shares. I will pick 50 more shares at $36.31 if it gets there which would be at the 61.8% Fibonacci pullback level. Right now it is hanging out at the 38.2% pullback level. I may buy some at the 50% level if it drops down and shows some consolidation at that level which is around $38.57. The two entry points shown below represent the 23.6% and the 38.2% level (or about anyway).

    GLD: SPDR Gold Trust

Same story as above, I was going to buy some at the 1st Fibonacci level but it gaped well past it and I got filled at the level below. I want to pick up some more as it comes back, but I think everyone is on to the gold play so it may not even get to the 38.2% level before it heads back north. Especially if the stimulus deal kicks in and the dollar dips below the current levels. Anyway the 38.2% level is when I will buy another 50 shares which is the $180.35 (about). I'll also buy 50 shares if it starts to head north and fills the gap.

    KL: Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd

I shorted this one along with AU, then they announced the sale of something on Thursday and the stock shot up a bit. As of the close Friday, it has resumed its downward march. If it comes back below $46.50, I add another 50 shares to the short play, but that seems like a long way off at this point. Set the stop at $51.30 and almost got the boot on Thursday when the high hit $51.20, but since then it has come back.

This one went right up to the resistance high of $397.15 and through it, so I bought more of it right before it plunged south to where I sold it in keeping tighter stops than normal. Right now it is riding the 9 DMA and if it makes a move above the $400 number, I may jump back in.

    NRZ:
    New Residential Investment Corp.

I bought this on because a friend told me to. It then started to turn south and I bailed. I just don't want to be in residential housing as I think it will surely be going south after the nationwide shake up is over. Cities like New York and Chicago will see people leaving and heading for my old stomping grounds where I grew up in Florida and Texas.

    SQQQ: ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ

I bought this one as a place holder for me to pay attention to when I peruse the stocks I want to trade. If it comes down to $4.00 I'm out and that would mean that the QQQ is on another run up big time. I do think that we will see a leg down before a big leg up.

Anybody using ThinkorSwim? It was working until around 9:20 this morning, then it went down and just within the last 20 minutes I was able to log back in but it is really slow. I checked and my internet connection is smoking fast at the moment.

I called the tech support line and they have an automated recording saying that they are experiencing slowness in the system. I guess no testing of my stock scanner today. I'm using the mobile app which is pretty good, but no scanner abilities. I don't think the website has the scanner abilities either. Hell even if they do, I can't be bothered to put in all of the criteria I'm looking at.

Bought (300 shares) of RIG as it finally came down to $2.13 this afternoon. Of course as soon as I bought it, it sank really hard to $2.06. I think it will hold the current $2.08 going into the close.

Also with Buffet getting into GOLD, that was enough to blast my short short plays on AU and KL out of the water this morning and Gold is back off to the races. Well today anyway. I think it comes back and consolidates some more for the rest of the month, but it sure has been pretty volatile lately with a 50 and a 100 dollar move in the last and present Monday markets.

Getting excited for the Apple split, but even more excited about all the excitement for the split.

Put some extra shares on the table as the stock is rising.

I thought the apple split was the most exciting thing I had going in my life but then another split got announced for Tesla and I didn’t think it was possible but I got even more excited, now the unimaginable has happened and you are excited from all the excitement and I am worried some reverse split may occur to bring balance to the universe.

SQQQ going to have a 1:5 reverse split. I never did jump into it.

Yeah the buzz of the split helps both Apple and Tesla, that excitement is does excite me. It will come back to earth, but then we'll own more shares of them anyway.

I'm excited for both the excitment and lack of fear to be honest. Things will regress, but my buy points are good and all I wanted was shares of these guys. Now I'm going to have 4 and 5 times the shares to play around with here.

If we can get AMZN to follow suit then I'm a pretty happy camper of the next many years.

Those three stocks turning out to be the best gifts for the kids' custodials.

With the more shares I need to find a way to write coverd calls in those accounts.

If I hit $1000 in income, then there's a kiddie tax of close to 40%...lol.

So maybe we stop at 990 in income.

They need a term, "musking" for what he does with twitter and his stock, all the shady shit.

Maybe the SEC will "elon" him for "musking"

Nvidia at $495 needs to get into that 5:1 split game. Running up ahead of earnings on Wednesday. Now bigger market cap than Intel ever reached.

Got busy last week and not sure if I mentioned but grabbed Grow generation; GRWG, it’s made a substantial move since then but I think it’s still a great time to get some skin in the game now or wait for a pullback but never know when that will be with some of these parabolic moves. Cash flows are increasing nicely in an extremely immature business. I watched several videos of their stores and basically a Home Depot focusing on delivering agricultural products, specifically Hydroponics. Read a few consumer reports as I don’t live out west where these stores seem to be, but the stores look amazing and they are expanding quickly.

i only started about 10% of my planned allocation here and planned to buy more when it consolidates but wondering if anyone has been in these stores and what they think overall?
