Take a look at Apples monthly chart and tell me that is sustainable for a few more months.

Anyway lets get the stupid stuff out of the way first.

    RIG: TransOcean

I've done several cutting edge pumping solutions for Transocean over the years, and truth be told, they are probably the single biggest reason for my successful career up to this point. The stuff they have developed over the years is right up there with all of the popular electric vehicle and software innovations, but since they are in dirty oil, and how to get at that oil in places that are hard to access, they don't get any fanfare. So as it is, the offshore drillers are getting pounded like a $10 smack whore down near the naval shipyard during a 4th of July weekend celebration. Its been bad for companies like Diamond Offshore, Valaris, Nobel, and others. Cheap oil and price wars between the Saudi and Russian countries haven't helped an industry that just 6 years was booming. Well that's the way it goes, you're a hero one day and a loser the next.
With all of that, then why am I buying RIG?? Who knows, I'm a stupid shyt for doing it, and I've been chasing it down for some reason all week after my initial buy. Just look at the chart, I have around 3 grand spent so far this week, and I'm going into a full 33% loss already. I knew I should have cut and run the day after I bought it at $2.13 and it tanked and closed at $1.91 but I didn't. I know on Monday the stock will move to my stop price and get me out at $1.04, which will be the $1000 point up in smoke and I can forget about the good time I've had.

SQQQ: ProShares UltraPro Shares Short QQQ

I've been keeping this one around so I look at it everyday, and everyday the QQQs keep on going up. With $600 in play, it isn't as bad as the RIG play as of yet, and I do see a pullback coming in the next couple of weeks that will allow me to hit it hard. My chart isn't designed to allow for stock splits, so it may take a few weeks for me to figure it out so that the chart has the correct numbers.

This one is my wife's pick, and ever since I bought it, it turn right the fuk around and has been heading down just like she doesn't. I'm allowing it to bleed me of a couple of hundred before I cut my losses, which is at $13.57. I can't say the same for the 'ole lady, she has been bleeding me for around 25 years now and it just wouldn't feel right if I had some happy days at this point.

This one was heading down until Friday when it shot up a couple of bucks and put me in the same position as the entry price when I shorted it at the top of a break up candle. Its sitting right below some resistance, so we will see if it turns back around or keeps moving up to my stop loss at $141.06.

GDX: VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF

Gold got pounded all week after Warren Buffet's rally when he announced he was getting rid of the banking stocks and getting into gold. Its a real big deal that he is doing that, and it says allot about the future of the economy. I have a buy order for this stock when it gets down to $36.79, but I think I will also buy some more if it get down to $35.81. The stop loss is way down there at around $31 bucks. I just don't see it coming back that much, and this sector is just taking time off the clock before it moves up again.

    GLD: SPDR Gold Trust

This one came back as gold plummeted this week, and flirted with my buy price of $180.35, but didn't trigger the order. I suspect that the gold will start moving back up next week again, but for the foreseeable future it is probably in a range until Congress shovels out a pile of cash to everyone. There hasn't been much news on the stimulus, and I keep saying we will hear nothing until the market steps in and has a mini crash of some sort.

    RGR: Strurm Ruger & Company

This is pretty much the only stock I'm happy with this week. It has had a run up in the last couple of months and now it is pulling back a couple of bucks a day since I shorted it. I will add to the short play if this continues in a heavier way probably o Wednesday when it sinks a little more. I'm expecting a pretty good pullback down to the $59 dollar range eventually.

OK today, I lightened the load on RIG from 2100 shares to 1400 shares and since it is creeping up, I moved my stop loss to the start of the day at $1.14. Still has a long way to go before I break even at $1.65.

Also added to my RGR which is relatively weak today as I thought it would be. Shorted 40 more shares at $70.76, 10 short at $70.42, and possibly 10 more short at $69.60 to make my entire position of 100 shares if it gets there going into the close. Moving the stop loss down to $74.39.

Picked up 30 shares of IWM as it bounced off support of the 20 DMA, 30 shares @ $155.57 stop loss is tight at $154.01 which will represent 1% if it goes bad.

Actually I think the Trumpster has moved ole Chupacabra back into the blame sights. He has authorized as much relief to the people as he can under the law, and probably more than he can do legally. Chupacabra will get off the the post office thing when the people applaud and say big deal they are going to deliver the mail anyway who cares, as the market crashes a little bit, then and only then will a deal be made. I still contend that the market will need to pull back somewhat to act as a catalyst for the 2 side to come together. This is a game of leverage, and nothing will happen until the scene shifts and one side or the other is being viewed in a negative light as not "helping" the poor suffering citizens.

Alrighty I'm trying out a new scanner idea where:

Price at the close yesterday (or Friday in this case) is between $10 and $100
Daily volume is over 1,000,000 shares
Yesterday's close is at least 0.1% above the 200 DMA
Yesterday's close is at least 0.1% above the 9 DMA
Today's open is at least 0.1% above the 9 DMA
Yesterday's close crossed over the 9 DMA
The MACD difference from yesterday is less than the difference from today.
The 9 DMA is greater than the 200 DMA at yesterday's close
The 9 DMA is greater than the 20 DMA at yesterday's close
The MACD (12,26,simple) has a difference that is less than 0.25

So the stock scanner came up with 3 stocks that meet that criteria, SLF, GLW, and DKS; so I bought them all for a play with shares divisible by 5 but not exceeding $1500.

The exit is a close under the 9 DMA and will be executed at the bell the next day, I think anyway, we'll see.

I bought into RKT today to sell covered calls. The IV is so high I could sell a 9/18 35C for 2.85. Giving me a instant return on capital of 10%.

    good idea

someone else had the same idea today... looks like those calls opened at 2.95 and closed at 2.39 with not much stock movement

If I listed every mistake I made over time I'd bore you all. The bottom line is the balance between the right and wrong choices. If we were always correct we wouldn't be wasting our time posting on here. LOL

I don't mind being long on RKT, so I was willing to buy them even after the run up. I will just keep selling covered calls for the sweet premium.

Bought some JETS today 135 shares at $17.52. Nobody wants the airlines and they are laying off people as soon as they can. Also burning through more cash than fuel. If you want to go to a place that is basically crowd free, hang out at the airport. I'll hang on to these dead in the water airline ETF unless it dips below $17 bucks. Which for me lately will probably happen tomorrow.

the way i like to play jets is by holding the manager of the fund, GROW

as jets goes up their fees go up

Been slowly dipping in here for 3/4 months. Sooner or later. Not a trade for me but long term. Not smart enough to pick a particular airline so playing it safe with ETF. My friend bought UAL , blindly, and now thinks he's a stock guru. LOL.

Naked options needs a 50k minimum account at most brokerage.

Trade them on Nadex for a 100

Thanks homie. It’s been a strange year. Feels bad in many ways to be profiting on the current volatility but it’s the way I guess. Wish I would’ve learned this 20 years ago.

bought my very 1st call option Tesla Weekly c2 @2165 8/28 and cleared a crazy profit. Insane. I can see how people trade mostly options, straight up lottery tickets.

noteworthy healthcare stock to keep on your radar

GoodRx ipo, recently filed. Keep it on the radar. It’s easy to use, more affordable prices and from personal experience many patients preferred means of getting their meds. Yoy revenue is growing even before covid.
