Why not just be honest and say $100/yr is needed for admin costs and such. Then give a convincing reason as to why this is a good investment.

I guarantee if you choose my strategy there would be an influx of hundreds of $100 subscriptions.

Dude take a look around when you get a chance. Look at the Beat the Prick prizes. Look at what us poker players are playing these tourneys for. It's a LOT more than $100, week in, week out, year in, year out.
If you do that I think you'll feel differently.
But do what you want man.
You don't have to pay $100 a year to be pro. You acquire enough points throughout the year to renew your pro status at the end of it's yearly run. You really only have to pay $100 one time unless you lose all of those points.
Been here for Approx. four years and have not seen anything that explains the benefit of being "Pro"
In a nutshell tell me the benefits.
You can actually do something with those 4220 points that you have. You're sitting on a $100 gift card right there. Plus you can play in contests.

i think i dropped $200 a couple years back (for charity).
I've gotten waaaaaayyy more than that in return from gift cards, pizzas, etc.
