You have no idea how pissed off I am about that one, but there's nothing I can do. I capped it perfectly, the Sox were up 8-1. What can you do when they blow a three run lead in the bottom of the 9th. Just an unreal bad beat...sorry if you tailed.

LTA, how do you feel about SMU/A&M over 56'? I have that game at around 44-27/43-26. figured that if you had thoughts on Rice/Texas, you might also have some on this one. my one concern is that A&M shut down some good offenses second half of the season last year, but SMU won't stop A&M and i think that we'll see a ton of plays run in this one and the tempo alone puts it in the mid-50s, so a little execution is all we'll need to get the over by a TD or two.

No NCAAF play for me tonight. I will have an NFL play on the under 48 in the NO/GB game. I will have my NFL thread with that play and writeup posted soon.

Later tonight or tomorrow, I will post my NCAAF plays for this week. Good luck tonight everyone!

    NCAAF 9/10/11 (Week 2)

    Play #1

    Nevada/Oregon over (63) 1x (Locked)

I love this play. First, you have a team in Oregon that needs a win and big win at that. These guys dropped from top three to #13. Oregon is going to need to run up the score over some weaker opponents and Chip Kelly has never shied away from taking care of business in that regard. You will have two up-temp offenses going head to head against two vulnerable defense and that's a great mixture for an over. Nevada has Tyler Lantrip, a 5th year senior taking over for Kaepernick and this guy has a solid grasp of the pistol offense and the tools to create some production against a defense that can be exploited (as shown by LSU). On the other side, LaMichael Jams and Darron Thomas will be looking to score quick and often. I don't expect Nevada to have the athleticism to slow them down like LSU. I think this game screams over both situationally and from a statistical perspective and I'm rolling with the over for 1x.

    Play #2

    Notre Dame (-3) 1x (Locked)

This game was dictated to me by the line. I was shocked to see ND open as 4 point faves as the books were begging for Michigan money. Well, for better or worse, they won't get mine on that side. ND has the better defense and the better offensive weapons (outside of Denard Robinson) to win this one. Situationally, you have ND coming off an embarrassing loss and Michigan coming off a win that was unimpressive against a weaker opponent. With ND losing to Michigan last year, I give the situational edge to ND. I don't think this one gets under 3, so I'm locking it in now and rolling with ND for 1x. Good luck.

That's it for right now....more NCAAF plays to come.

One can only spread oneself so thin, so I don't do college sports. As such will be tailing you all the way this season. Here's to a productive campaign LTA , let's get it rolling tomorrow.

    Play #3

    Northern Illinois (-4.5) 1x (Locked)

Small MAC team against the big bad Big 12 team in Kansas. However, here's another game where the opening number says it all. NIU opened as road fave to a BCS school by TD for a reason. NIU returns 11 starters from last year's dominant offense, including four year starter Chandler Harnish. NIU knows this is a huge game with Wisconsin looming next week. They cannot look ahead to that game and risk starting the season 1-2. I think NIU is focused and up to the task of the large conference Kansas. Turner Gill may get this program turned around, but I don't think it starts today and I expect a solid 10 point victory by NIU. My money is on the Huskies for 1x. Good luck.

    Play #4

    Tulsa (-12) 1x (Locked)

More road chalk...damn! Not what I like and generally goes against my general support of home dogs across all sports. However, I just see a huge mismatch in caliber of teams here and I have to roll with Tulsa on the road. My biggest concern is Tulsa's loss of Damaris Johnson, who is their best player outside of Kinne. This is a guy who did it all with respect to return specialist, wide receiver and rusher. Last year against Tulane, he ran for 80 yards and two TD's. Therefore, I think his contribution will be sorely missed. However, in this game, I think he is the difference between a 21 point victory and a 17 point victory. I think Tulsa wins by at least two touchdowns and a field goal today. They are the vastly superior offensive team, even without Johnshon. Kinne's experience will shine today. In addition, I think the situational factors support Tulsa here to avoid the 0 -2 start and to get a big win under their belts. They lost last week to OU after losing Johnson the day before the game. They have now had a week to adjust the offense and to think about that loss. I expect Tulsa to come out fired up and aggressive. I'm rolling with Tulsa for 1x. Good luck.

I'm still looking at a few more plays. I really like Alabama to continue our theme of road chalk Saturday (I hate it but these are the better teams). Back soon...

    Play #5

    Alabama (-10) 1x (Locked)

Road chalk Saturday continues despite my aversion to road faves. However, I think you are going to see just a basic difference in caliber of athlete between the Big Ten and SEC. Alabama's defense could be the very best in the nation with 8 guys who are top 150 NFL prospects. They return 10 starters total from a dominant defensive unit of last season. I think Alabama goes with McCarron at QB as the every play starter today because he has the most experience and that should allow for Alabama's offense to find it's rhythm in hostile territory. Bottom line is that Richardson is the best offensive player on either team and he will get a ton of action today. I don't think there's anyone on PState's D that can hang with his speed. I expect Alabama to primarily run the ball and break off a few big plays in a 24-7 victory, so I'm rolling with the Tide for 1x. Good luck.

I really like the Stanford over, but I missed the move to 60. I liked it a whole lot better at the key number of 59. Good luck DE

I slept on the Stanford total and missed the line move all the way up to 61, past the key numbers of 59 and 60. As a rule, I generally never play a total after it has crossed two key total numbers. Damn...wasted opportunity. I think this one cashes pretty easy. Good luck to those riding the over in that one.

All the way up to 62 at some places. This has supremely taught me a lesson to follow my model, process and instincts. I sat and wondered why the total had not come up from 59 and waited, got caught up in other games and when I came back to this one it had already started its jump. That is a very disappointing miss for a game that I had been targeting. All the value is gone now that it has crossed 59, 60 and 61 which are pretty big key numbers in college football totals markets.

At least we're looking good in our other games with about 1/2 point to full point of movement in our favor on all of our plays today. If we can beat the closer on all of these plays, we will have accomplished our first objective. Then it's just up to the players to bring home our ultimate objective of winning the game.

    Glad to hear

I really want to play Boise, but I've debated it too long and now I'm stuck with either 20.5 or 21. I really wanted 19 or less, so I've just lost too much value at this point. Generally, when I take that long to decide, ive learned I'm better served laying off and that's what I will do tonight. Good luck if you play it!

Getting on this one a bit late, but I still like this number at -105. I expect Nevada to roll and win by at least two touchdowns. This should be Nevada's coming out party on their way to the top of the WAC and rebound after their loss to Oregon. Lantrip understands this offense and was able to move the ball against Oregon so I don't expect them to have trouble with SDST who first got rolled by Stanford and then lost a heartbreaker to UCLA. SDST will not be able to keep up with the Wolfpack and I'm rolling with Nevada for 1x. Good luck.

Kinne and Co. has worked out some kinks without their top WR and playmaker in Johnson. Kinne can spread the ball around and get at least three TD's off of OKST. On defense, Tulsa just won't have the guns to stop OKST high powered attack. Whedon to Blackmon is damn near unstoppable this year and I think you will see that connection hit quite a bit tonight. Tulsa will score in the 20's and OKST in the 50's and this one should sail over. I have it at 72, but expect it to hit the 77 range. I'm rolling with the over for 1x. Good luck.

    Stanford/AZ over (55.5) 1x (Locked)

I love the quarterback matchup here and I also like Stanford to cover the spread. However, because I like Arizona's offense at home, I think the over is the safer play. I have this one at 62 after Arizona's defense was exploited last week and has not proven to be the "desert swarm" we are accustomed to. Luck will exploit Arizona's weakened secondary and Stanford will run all over that AZ front four, while Foles will get it done for AZ. I am rolling with the over for 1x.

    Kansas/GTech over (61) 1x (Locked)
    WINNER

We already cashed, so no writeup needed. GT covered the total on its own...sweet.

    Play #4

    Oklahoma (-3)(-115) 1x (Locked)

Florida St. is just not ready to roll with the big boys like Landry and Broyles. Simple as that. OU has something to prove in winning a big game on the road and I just don't this FSU can keep up with OU's offense. That will be a big mismatch similar to last season. The line has gone up to gone up to 3.5 as OU is clear play to me. I actually have this one at 7.5, but I think OU takes this one by a TD. FSU can keep it close with some explosive QB play, but OU will wear them down on both sides of the ball and take this one in the end. I am rolling with OU minus the points for 1x. Good luck.

    Play #5

    Houston (-6.5) 1x (Locked)

I think LTech is getting too much love with this line. Again, I always like to back experienced quarterbacks against weak offenses. In the first three weeks, I have been backing a ton of away favorites against my propensity for playing home dogs. Here, we have another away favorite, but I just think we're getting a ton of value. I have Houston at (-10) so I love this play. Keenum has a ton to prove and they will pour it one. Louisiana Tech will present a challenge at home, but Keenum will find enough success to pull ahead late. I like Houston minus the point for 1x.
    Play #6

    Nevada (-7)(-105) 1x (Locked)

Getting on this one a bit late, but I still like this number at -105. I expect Nevada to roll and win by at least two touchdowns. This should be Nevada's coming out party on their way to the top of the WAC and rebound after their loss to Oregon. Lantrip understands this offense and was able to move the ball against Oregon so I don't expect them to have trouble with SDST who first got rolled by Stanford and then lost a heartbreaker to UCLA. SDST will not be able to keep up with the Wolfpack and I'm rolling with Nevada for 1x. Good luck.
    Play #7

    Hawaii/UNLV over (60) 1x (Locked)

I watched some of Hawaii last week and was impressed with Moniz. I wish I would have been able to get this one on Thursday with my other plays when it was at 59 since that is such a crucial key number in NCAAF totals, but I have this one at 65 so I'm going to "gamble." UNLV's defense is still in the development stages playing freshmen and sophmores against Moniz who is as experienced as they come. UNLV got smoked by Wisconsin in its opener in a game that sailed over the posted total and I expect the same tonight. However, I expect UNLV to score its fair share as well. UNLV has moved the ball well so far this season and I expect that offense to exploit an undersized Hawaii defense. This one has high scoring written all over it and I'm a bit surprised the line is not higher. I'm rolling with the over for 1x.

LTA. Whats ur thoughts on AZ St and Illinois? AZ St just seems like the better team to me in this one yet they are a dog.
