That is pretty much my thoughts. I am a little concerned that Edgar secured so many take downs in the first fight, however, he didn't do much with them once he had them.

Edgar really had nothing for Henderson, and Bendo was never in any danger in that fight. He had control the whole time. Bendo is far larger, and better in every aspect of MMA imo. I prob. won't end up going that big, but I will be putting a nice size wager down regardless of if Bendo is at -160 or -250.
agree with this completely, this fight was not close and after Hendo looks at tape Edgar will not be recording as many strikes as he did last time. even if he does, they do not hurt Benson at all. this guy is just all around a pure gamer. (not that Edgar isn't) but Hendo is at the peak of his career right now and the only was i see him losing this is if it goes the distance and the judges **** the score cards up to set him another rematch.

i personally see Henderson by submission.

That seems to be the thoughts of many people I have spoken to. I think we may see a finish by Ben this time.

I think he is absolutely going to be looking for a finish, big time. not only to prove his doubters wrong from last time, but so this thing doesn't go to the scorecards, he certainly knows what is capable of happening if it does. the guy is just too smart, once he looks at the tape and shores up his defense from the last fight its over. his size and smarts will play a major roll in this fight. I personally think this won't be even close to the striking match it was last time. Think Henderson is gonna want this on the ground as much as possible, wear Frankie out with his size and look for a sub.

That is what I am pretty much banking on. Not so much Bendo's ground game, but more so his significant size advantage. I mean he has to have 20 lbs on Edgar on fight night, and that's huge. As I have said many times, I believe Edgar belongs at featherweight, not LW.

o wow you dont like someone spamming your thread over and over like you did mine? GTFO kid. No one else needs to be talked into a bet like you. You're obviously betting 20 bucks so who really gives a f-ck. I'm sure after you win you can post your winnings over at sherdog and have everyone pat you on the back. I told you, you wouldn't want to tangle with me.

Funny you make fun of sherdog and try to insult other people by telling them to go there. Yet you login and post regularly over there and even make threads begging for attention because you won 900 dollars. SBR is for real men kid.

Looks like Bendo keeps going up around -225 now. I don't think the first fight was close at all, Edgar had no edge anywhere except takedowns, which amounted to no significant threat or control. Edgar has tons of heart and will come back as strong as possible, but I think he is soo outclassed here. Bendo looks poised to get into the best pound for pound discussions.

Glad I hammered this before the odds rose. I just don't see how Edgar can win this despite his heart and effort. Big mismatch talent wise and no real plan or angle for Edgar to exploit for a win, unless it is a lucky fluke or terrible judging, which obviously happens at some frequency, but clearly not enough to not bet Bendo.

I hear you! MMA judging is ridiculous, totally unpredictable with a handful of shadey fight scores lately. Not sure if they are half blind or cheating for gambling purposes or financial incentives to create rematches or the next big fight. After Pacman's robbery by judges and my loss there, I cringe anytime the judges' decision is announced in any sport, gun shy.

I just keep seeing the first fight: Bendo much sharper and quicker punches, his control of the ring and maintaining perfect fight distance, and Edgar never really managing any sustained offense, just a handful of weak takedowns(5) that amounted to no danger. At the fight's end you could see defeat in Edgar's eyes, he never posed a threat.

After the first round, where punches landed was even (13 a piece), Bendo went on to throw more and land more strikes in every round 2-5(significant strikes and total strikes). His althletic advantage and length are going to be hard to counter, definitely peaking in the prime of his career.

He did secure 5 takedowns, but you're right they didn't amount to anything threatening and he could not maintain control. Edgar was clearly outpunched though, by the numbers (punches thrown/landed) and by sheer power quality and clean landing. The first round they each landed 13 punches, after that Bendo's edge became evident, throwing 11, 23, 21, and 12 more punches in rounds 2 through 5 and landing 3, 6, 5, 5 more punches in each round.

Dude, I started doing cartwheels through the casino where i was watching the fight after I heard that decision. I was beyond happy man. I ended up going to the Cahuna sports bar at, Treasure Island. Everyone around me thought Edgar had it before the decision was announced. I can't lie, I thought Edgar was going get the nod, but I could have seen it going either way. I ended up only putting down a total of $745.00 on Bendo for a total profit of $400.00. The odds were -220 at Harrahs. I got him online at -175 for 3 times the line. And one line at Harrahs for -220.I was going to take Lentz too, but he was at -450, too expensive.

Rounds 3, 4, and 5 were too close and really could have gone either way. I wouldn't say winning a bet on Bendo was lucky, not like Edgar clearly took any round besides the 2nd.

I thought only the rounds 3 and 5 were too close, Bendo won the 3 (close) and Edgar won the 5 (close too). Final score in my point was 48x47 Edgar. Everyone who bets constantly, has already won and lost in polemics decisions, there is not so much to regret, just keep going...

I also hit this parlay that I threw down on the left. Harrahs was really easy and convenient to make plays at. No long lines, pretty much no line at all. The guy behind the counter was nice and seemed knowledgeable. The Hotel itself isn't very nice, but the Sports book was legit.

That is still prob. too much according to what most of the Professionals say. I still think Bendo is a great play, especially at the -160 range. I think Edgar loses this fight and drops to the 145 lbs divsion, where I think he would be much better suited. Frankie is small for a LW imo. Again, thanks for your insight.
And Frankie moves to featherwieght (145lbs)... It's about damn time!!!
