yea thats what i'm thinking, if Griffin plans to stand and trade he'll get clowned like he did against Silva. Thats why i expect him to put his weight on ShoGun and press him up against the cage or take him down.

Rua was able to leg kick and keep his range against Machida with no threat of a takedown, that won't be the case in this fight. So with Ruas injury history and Griffin at +200 i'll take a shot here

I feel like Barboza is a steal at -300...and Miller is going to have a HELL of a time competing with Paul Harris. Went ahead and parlayed those two.

Definitely not sold on Schaub. Nog's two T(KO) losses had a lot of circumstances around them including nearly a week that was spent in the hospital the same month of each fight. He just got back from a lengthy rehab and appears much more crisp with his movement. For a very long time he had trouble rotating his hips which is obvious cause for alarm if you know anything about punching mechanics. That's no longer the case....tread waters carefully if you are planning to throw Schaub in a bunch of parlays or something of the like.

Palhares is a beast! I'm always fascinated by these type of fighters. Their skills are designed to rip off limbs and their body types are perfect for that purpose. Just like Kitaoka. They are a mass of muscle made for destroying joints.

Did you guys see the video where Palhares says he's been doing heavy manual labour since he was 6 years old? He says the first time he rolled with someone he felt that his muscles were not built like normal people. That's scary. Guys start to panic when he dives for limbs from ridiculous position where if it were someone else they would feel little threat.

He's the number 1 guy I would never want to face, ever. I can handle taking a swarm of powerful punches, body slams, chokes, kicks etc...but if that gorilla even looked at one of my legs, I would probably tap out.

with the exception of the Nog/Schaub fight it does look like the UFC is giving the home country fighters winnable fights. Besides Nog every other Brazillian is the fav (not counting Brazil vs Brazil)

One thing I was thinking about home field advantage (or disadvantage), aside from the excess pressure it puts on to perform, is that fighters are not likely to pull out with an injury in their hometown. They will fight though the injury just to be on the card. Nog rushed his rehab back from the surgery to get on the card. Anderson has been known to fight with injuries in the past (ie Lutter, Sonnen). He definitely wouldn't pull out of this fight no matter what happened.

Yes good point - particularly pertinent in Nog's case
