Looks like Siniakova is having a little difficulty being down 3-5 in the 1st set and serving. Now might be a good time to bet Siniakova at -105 but I'm not going to take it based upon how these stars tank things like this.

Looks like 12th ranked Kasatkina was the one to quit early in last night's matches. This is what makes tennis so hard to bet. It's hard to know which good player will quit. I thought Siniakova quit last night being down 3-5 in the first set but she pulled it out.
With that being said, I'm going to try one more:
Qiang Wang -123 over Ostapenko
Ostapenko has been on my "possibly hurt" list for some time now. It's hard to bet against Qiang Wang in a scenario like this.

Qiang Wang bagels Ostapenko. I'll keep her on my list of underperforming tennis players.
On another note, Kontaveit appeared to be giving up in the first set losing 2-6. She later won the next two sets so it's hard to know who is giving up just by the performance of the first set.

Zhang over Babos/Bertens over Siniakova (parlay)
Babos was 1-10 in her last 11 until she met Hsieh who took a dive to give Babos the win. That won't happen with Zhang who has already shown she is ready to play in this tournament by beating #14 Mertens in her last match. This should be an easy win for Zhang.
I wasn't impressed with Siniakova's performance against Van Uytvanck who had lost 6 matches previous to meeting Siniakova. Van Uytvanck was up 5-3 in the first set against Siniakova before falter in the set and losing the match.
Bertens is at the top of her game and smoked her 1st 2 opponents in this tournament.

Martic +220 over Woz
Woz is still not playing her best and only won her most recent match against Bencic who had lost her previous 4 matches. Part of Woz's fortune was due to Bencic's 34 unforced errors. I don't believe Martic will repeat Bencic's performance in that area. These are good odds for Martic who has won 8 out of her last 9 matches losing only to a streaking Pegula who had also won 8 out of her last 9 matches.
Sevastova -146 over Vekic
Sevastova has completely owned Vekic winning all 4 matches between the 2 including 2 in 2018.

Going to ride this wild horse until I get bucked off. I think I'll call her Qwang from now on.
Making this bet not only based on recent form but because of the most recent match between these 2 held a couple weeks ago. While the match went to 3 sets, the 2 sets Qwang won were decisive at 6-1, 6-3.

Cibulkova -127 over Sevastova
It's hard to bet against one of these players who have been tearing up the courts but this bet is similar to the Sevastova/Vekic bet. Sevastova had a good recent record against Vekic. Cibulkova easily handled Sevastova earlier this year 6-3, 6-1.

I finally get to watch Qwang on wtatv.tv. She was down 0-3 and pulled out the first set. She's powerful.
She served an ace for the set and it was called out by the chair person. She challenged and the ball was in but the chair person said that she called the ball out so early that Qwang's opponent quit so the original call of out was upheld. What a crock of sh!t!
Qwang went on to blast her next serve past Sabalenka to win the set anyway.

Qwang got beat by Woz. My fun parlay was ruined when Mrdeza was beat by Zhao. So what do I do? I fade Zhao in her next match.

Alexandrova has only won twice in her last 10 matches and that was against players that were hurt.

Decided to take a few days off since my picks have been going in streaks. I didn't want to quit since I bet favorites mostly (I'm a square bettor) and thought that favorites win in streaks and that's why I have won in streaks.
I also decided to bet fewer matches and stop betting matches that I felt were close.
Also, some of the parlays I lost were when the ladies weren't trying really hard. They often lost big. So I figure if I can only bet matches where I feel the ladies are trying to do well I can bet the favorites again.
Alexandrova -3.5 over Larsson
I faded Alex a few days ago against Barthel. She has shown that she is serious in this Austrian tournament winning her first 3 matches against decent players like Barthel and Siniakova.
I have been fading Larsson for the past few weeks. She has only won 4 out of her last 15 matches and her wins have been either against players that I feel are injured (Cornet and Voegele) or lower ranked players.
Another angle I like to look at is an overpowering recent performance against the same opponent. These two women met last month and Alex won 6-1, 6-2.

Babos -2.5 over Mladenovic
Babos has won only 3 matches in her last 14. So why am I taking her here? I am impressed that she recently beat #37 Vekic 6-1, 6-1 and also beat #30 Hsieh 6-2. 6-2.
Mladenovic has won only 2 matches in her last 8 and one of the wins was against a woman not in the Top 100.
