Pretty much balls on accurate after the 1st set. Got his early break and is racing to a nice 6-3 or 6-2 set. Have to remember, he does not start quick in 1st sets in his 1st matches much any more.

Berdych is nothing like Tsonga. Anyone comparing the two obviously got burned on some Berdych bets at some point - but let's be reasonable here. Prior to yesterday, he had been one of the top three most consistent players on-tour to start the season.
Berdy made me some nice money on futures so far this year. One 1st round ouster is not an alarm. Now if he sucks in Miami next week, then yes - I would be pretty hesitant to back him going forward until he proves better.
Berdych's great against weaker competition, but I've always felt that he really struggled to compete against other Top 10 players. Not just not winning, because obviously that's tough against in form Nadal/Fed/Djoker, etc, but just not playing competitive matches. I think he's improved in this in the last year or so, but I still have the expectation that when it comes to matchups with more creative players, he'll continue to struggle.
Also, he looked great at the Aussie Open, but he had an incredibly easy draw...
I'm sitting today out. Absolutely nothing looks worthwhile to me. Buncha high chalk and questionable totals, blah.

Well I am gonna follow my original thoughts and skip today altogether, it's a day where I expect to see a lot of those high chalk parlays that people love at Grand Slams and most of the true top tier guys look safe today, but I don't think the risk is worth the small reward. Tomorrow's lines look a lot better to me.
thoughts on the monfils/fabio match? weird total only @ 22? i thought it would be higher.. not even 22.5 on pinny has me thinking...the over feels like a big public play but what do i know?
Could easily see one of them winning in straights. Monfils has never played well here in the past, so him getting butt whipped would not be a large shocker IMO. Not Fognini's best surface, but the slower conditions could help him or Monfils could simply have too much shot making for him.

over feels too easy. have a feeling monfils rapes him but i can't bet against fabio he has made me so much money the past year without him i probably wouldn't be betting tennis. pathetic but true.
Yeah this was the only match I thought about playing, but in the end I did not see a real good edge on it to try anything more than a dartboard shot. Today to me was just really void of great opportunities and I have been trying to avoid action plays like the plague. That's what today seemed like a day for to me.

I'll go someone winning in 20 or less. Clay I would go over for sure, but not on this surface. But I mean there is no clear advantage either way to me. I could see either guy winning and doing so in short fashion or a three setter. It's your prototype guess match where the books probably end up making out the best of anyone.

EP you called the monfils no-show in your preview you should have bet on it somehow. Let's see if he picks his ass up in the 2nd set.
I bet against him in his 1st match, but I got burned on most of the fades I had of seeds - so I backed off some at least today. This was really the only one I felt like the dog was a decent bet. Monfils may still come back and win, but this definitely is not a great surface/environment for him historically.
Just like there match last year, Fabio bageld Monfils first set choked the second and barely squeezed out the tiebreak in the 3rd, if it gets to 3rd I think Monfils wins this time

Guess I shoulda kept Rafa's back more in mind for futures. The Djokovic addition looks even better though.
