    Adding...

    ATP Indian Wells: Brands +100

*Another TI fade attempt. 14-5 tips for Nieminen in this one. Not quite the volume of tips as others, but still real lopsided - so we roll and see what happens.

There was no jinx on that one. Busta was busted up after that 1st set. Always interests me how these work out more often than not. Again, you gotta monitor TI only on the picks that are near pick 'ems for this, but it's quite the trend mostly. Let's see if Brands continues it.

    ATP Indian Wells: March 8
    Chardy -125
    Karlovic +345
    Stakhovsky +320
    Giraldo +320

Yes, I included Chardy because he was again part of the upset watch I spell out to begin a tournament. I'm sure he'll find a way to screw up, but going to use him any way. Realistically, hitting one of the three big dogs would be the best scenario, but all have potential today. I don't expect that all three will compete well, but hopefully at least 2/3 make things interesting.

Okay, well after today - I think no matter my mindset ... I cannot fathom another Jeremy Chardy better ever. I probably said that before, but thought it was worth trying against a man with shoulder issues. Apparently he needs a paraplegic to have a shot to win.

2 things to avoid like the plague the rest of your life:

*betting (for or against) French males at negative-money odds

*betting (for or against) Italian females at negative-money odds

    _____________

both of these groups are highly-predisposed to what has been called the "fold like a cheap fukkin' tent" gene, that can be triggered at the first sign of professional stress...

curiously they may go into apparent remission for days, even weeks on end of functioning at the highest of levels...lulling bettors into complacency about their new-found consistency...then bam! without warning a severe relapse of MGMS (Mannarino-Gasquet-Monfils Syndrome) devastates the bankroll

Figures one pick I don't stick with for my seeded upset watch and KuKu destroys Pospisil.

Yea, he's still a bum. Finally got the break late in third set to even it up, and then hands it right back next game.

Well I wouldn't call one slip on the whole year him being a bum, it happens to the best. He's had a very consistent year so far with today being the exception.

Looks like early on this tournament, I'll be bleeding money to the books.

If you can get a good price on a Djokovic future, might be worth it. That bottom half now without Berdych or Del Potro should be a cake walk for him.

right now, only one of books i deal with that are hanging "outright winner" odds is Sportingbet...they have

    Djoko +163
    Nadal +200
    Federer +600
    Murray +900

care to think out loud as if these were on your platter right now...and you had a "nothing to lose" 2-unit free-play to place on this market

Djokovic has been looking ANYTHING but solid since French Open last year... It's even been exacerbated since the turn of the new year.

Gulbis, Isner, Nadal (@3+) are the only ones that interest me, if anyone cares.

I think they are rated right where I would rate them with the draw the way it is. Even though I know some don't like Rafa's draw because of guys like Dog and Monfils in the potential path, he's also got Andy Murray as his toughest potential stop perhaps in getting to a semi. Djokovic's path to a semi looks easiest to me. I don't particularly like Federer because he's potentialy got Stan and Rafa just to get to the Final. Even with his improved play, that is tough.

Well at least one went right today that I played with Niemo. If I can find the number on my live options, will play Djokovic-Hanescu Under 18 for some extra ball sweat.

Wound up on 18.5 @ -118 after Hanescu won the first game. I hope he breaks Dracula down early. I don't want to sweat balls ... even though I expect it or worse - just the way this tourney has started.

I'm definitely finding a Djokovic future tomorrow - if he doesn't follow suit of this half of the draw and decide to take an early vacation in Indian Wells. His draw just keeps opening up.

Gotta have something like 6-4 in this 1st set or it's a guaranteed loser. Probably will be just cuz that's how I roll this weekend. Or Djokovic can get broken and end it right away
