That has to be the biggest bad beat ever, had 3 setpoints in the tiebreak as well on his OWN serve.

Stupid choking son of a bitch.

Break up in each set, 5 break points in set 2, and 3 setpoints in the tiebreak.

    Scoreboard chokers.

Why such a strong trust in Istomin? Cilic is 3-0 (7-0 in sets) head-to-head against Istomin.

I see that stat as a superficial classification of the matchup before Istomin really evolved his game and cleared out his mental deficiances.

Cilic is also rusty, barely played.

To be honest I wasn't 100 % but more so my point is 2013 didn't exactly show me Istomin "clearing out his mental deficiencies".

We're just going to have to wait and see bro.

IMO, the match is on his racquet. He enjoys playing Brisbane too. Court's suit him.

You can always find negatives on bets, otherwise he'd be 1.2.

I saw an interview with Cilic yesterday on Tennis TV. Marin looks extremely motivated about the upcoming season. Highlights:
    1) he admits that he made some "bad" choices in 2013 (probably referring to the doping scandal).
    2) his #1 goal for 2014 is getting back in top 10.

I'll probably take Cilic ML @1.53

My goal could be to turn pro and become world number 1 in the next few years, doesn't mean I am going to get there.

Cilic is this "brand" name that's been hyped up for years, he fails to deliver, because he lacks bottle (Guts) and more than anything at all, variety.

He has a better serve and backhand than Istomin, but overall I find Istomin to be the better shotmaking player. Hard, deep, penetrating groundstrokes ... when on the backfoot even. His movement's much better than Cilic's too.

Cilic @1.53 is the worst value bet I can find of the season thus far, whether he manages it in a tight 3 or not.

Since his return he's played two matches. Weigh that up in your mind against an Istomin who's been deep in the US Open and done decent in masters, 500s and 250s.

No, I'm just saying interms of value. Cilic may win, but @1.53. He shouldn't be that short against a player that played all last season and is arguably better than him.

    Interms of value, nothing elsee.

Being the worst bet in terms of value is the exact same as being the worst bet AFAIC. How do you define the difference between the two?

Also: You do realize I haven't argued against your pick... don't you?

This is all 3 a boring, pointless and childish conversation all to try and sound the smartest.

My pick is Istomin. Wish me luck. Thanks.

    lol

There's no such thing as breaks in women's tennis and I am not EVEN joking when I tell you that. It's just a race to 6 games, by 2 clear games. (Or 7 if at 5-5)

Servebots are always hard to beat on their day. Players end up getting frustrated and own game starts to struggle.

Alot of the top 100 are servebots and even quite a few in top 20ish. (Raonic being the best bot imo).

Na. Mitchell is just a loser. Herbert has no backcourt game, I have a better forehand than he does. Literally, go watch him. lol

He has Pete Sampras's service action tho and can volley okay + swing at a few returns and make them but rarely that.

    Mitchell choked, had somany chances.

Meanwhile ward was a set and 4-2 up and lost, another loss from the brink of victory. lol

You can;t compare Raonic to this guy, he's gotta better serve for starters but also has better feet on over the court and his techniques are on another level to herbert.

Only Raonic and Isner are top20 servebots and they have penetrating forehands. Karlovic can beat anyone on his day but has great touch at the net. The rest loom around the challenger circuit, you need an all round game in today;s tennis.

Copil's another one, these guys just can't maintain that level of serving all year around, so they register lower rankings with tournaments where they just blow hot and do well. Herbert was hot in Paris and pushed Djokovic who was fannying around.

Herbert's good under pressure, otherwise he'd be rooted to qualifying for challengers and playing futures mainly. Hard one to either back or back against. Don't believe he can keep this going.

I actually closed it on bet365 at 4/3 in the second. I felt like Ward can shit the bed. :XX
    However, Mitchel completely burried me.
