Moneybookers is a below average service

I opened an account with moneybookers a little over a year ago and since then I’ve made multiple deposits, submitted paperwork to verify my identity, confirmed micro deposits to my account and just recently requested my first withdrawal, but now I’m getting “the run around”.
I’ve heard about sportsbooks that use payout stall tactics, but it never crossed my mind that I would get the same treatment from moneybookers.com. Turns out, they want to verify my address by sending me a letter, which will probably delay my payout for another week or so. To make matters worse, I sent two e-mails over 72hrs ago and I’ve yet to receive a response.
So much for fast payouts via moneybookers.com… It’s been 4 days since I requested my payout from Pinnacle and it looks like it will be another couple of weeks before I see my funds…
Moneybookers is a mediocre e-wallet at best.

My Moneybookers experience has been totally contrary to that.
I can only suspect that there is something irregular with your documentation or activity.
If they are "only average" who is better?
I used to use Neteller as well but found Moneybookers more efficient and cheaper to use so quite Neteller.

I’m sure you are not the only who has good things to say about moneybookers. I wouldn’t have opened an account if I believed otherwise.
And yes you’re right; there aren’t a lot of other options out there. Maybe that’s why they can get away with not answering e-mails in a timely manner and having people jump through hoops just to get a payout. I seriously doubt I am the only who has been treated this way…
I can assure you there is nothing irregular about my account. Quite contrary, I have confirmed several micro deposits to my account, they have a high quality copy of my ID and I offered a certified utility bill to speed up the process.
If you’re comfortable with your funds sitting in an e-wallet, rather than in your own wallet or bank account, I guess they are OK.
They might be the only game in town, they might be cheap, but in my personal experience they suck... 3- days to answer an e-mail is just unacceptable.

Moneybookers closed many customers' account. don't know why they had to do that.

I had to do the address verification thing too..Moneybookers is still very good and reliable.

IMO, the best one to use is Insta Debit

They operate from a regulated environment and of course they need to do a thorough ID verification.

I suspect they also have a 'one strike and you're out policy' to protect their reputation.

But yes, agree it's not acceptable for emails to remain unanswered for 3 days.

i used moneybookers once, or at least opened an account with them. hated the service and process of everything being through moneybookers. deleted my account with them quickly and never join bookies that primarily use it. its a shame so money use moneybookers now. it would be so much better if all bookies would just use paypal, bank transfers, cards and poli payments. thats all that is needed.

    I can't understand that.

None of those options could be as efficient or speedy as Moneybookers.

totally agree on moneybookers customer service being useless and pain in the a$$. however, as soon as you get verified and have a vip status, they are fine. all in all, mb is extremely convenient and worth the verification hassle

Customer service is awful and many people over the years have claimed that MB shares personal information with merchants.

Unfortunately, it's still the best option for those who do lots of transfers to books. Quick, low cost and (hopefully) large enough that you don't have to worry about leaving a large amount of funds sitting in your account.

A few years ago when I had some issues with moneybookers, the only fast way to get their response was if you call them. Otherwise, my emails were just rotting somewhere in their mailbox.

So tell me how long it takes to withdraw money from moneybookers to your bank account. Bank transfer withdrawals only take 24 hrs where I play and the slowest is three days. As for paypal I just feel more comfortable with it.

I can take my Moneybookers ** to an ATM and withdraw cash. So pretty instant if you want cash (which you can then just pay into your bank account or whatever).

this is standard practice for moneybookers i did it years ago when verifying my acct.it is not something special they thought up just for you.u should researched more thoroughly to have everything done that needs to be done to have your moneybookers working smoothly.
emails to moneybookers dont work well you have to visit the site and message them from the required section.
i have used moneybookers for years and in my opinion they are not a second rate operation ;i would say they are second to none.
one of the reasons i like moneybookers is they are so consistent,my cashouts are to my bank and they always take 6 days .never 3 or 4 never 7 or 8 always 6

Average is a relative statement that implies "middle of the pack." OP who are the services that are "above average" compared to MB?

address verification is part of regulation.
i did it immediately after opening mb account and never had a withdrawal problem.

They are the best service around IMO, but all netwallets will request extensive documentation from some of their customers. It has to do with their regulations and luck of the draw.

In my personal experience, neteller has been much more strict with their document and verification requests.

the guy meant customer service. neteller for example provides a toll-free number for vip accounts answering a call within seconds, hence a superior customer service

if you can use both Moneybookers and Neteller then go with Neteller, they give you a free ** Debit Card that you can use to get your money as soon as it hits your account, it means after 10min with Pinnacle.

I've been with them for 4 years and overall have been quite impressed. They stepped in nicely once I lost Neteller as an option. Things have improved further since I became the proverbial 'VIP'.....

I recall Moneybookers being very bureaucratic and frustratingly fussy when I first signed up and went through the process of getting my account unlimited. But I plowed through it and it is all a distant memory now.

    I love them now.

Their CS is terrible unless you have VIP status. I had my account suspended too (a long time ago) when they did the ID verification thing but since that was resolved their service has been very good.

Neteller and MoneyBookers are both very good services.

I guess that varies quite a lot from country to country.
No problem with either in the UK.

Just to be clear. I sent the message from the required section while logged in to their site over 86 hrs ago and still haven't received a response. Also, I did review their policies and I couldn’t find anything that says address verification is required prior to requesting a withdrawal, perhaps it’s standard practice, but it still stings to have no issues while depositing with them for over a year and now that I want my first withdrawal I can’t get it.
At least for the time being my money is tied up in a e-wallet that won’t even respond to my e-mails.

Mostly within 48 hours. I'm satisfied with that.
Withdrawals from MB represent only a tiny fraction of my transactions with them.
    Deposits to books are instantaneous.
And almost all withdrawals from books come through within a few hours at most.
Really can't expect anything better than that.
