Yes, forgot about that too. An ewallet acting as an affiliate is sketchy.

I first discovered MB after NT kicked out Canadians. I signed up to a book with a ridiculous (ie:too good to be true) signup bonus that MB was promoting, assuming they would only be advertising reputable sites. After depositing, I realised the only way to contact support was through ICQ and I knew I was screwed. Sure enough, a few weeks later they closed up shop and disappeared. Queried MB and and they brushed me off.

I am using them for ages without a problem. However for quick answer you need to call them that's true.

I like Moneybookers but sometimes they make it hard for sportsbooks to use them and that makes things harder for players.

I have to aggree with that. But when you call them, your problems will be solved fast.

In the past Neteller tried to verify my account. They called me, but nobody was on the other side of the phone when I took the phone. Then they send me a message that they tried to call me, but nobody was at home. ... Later the problem was solved, but the situation was quite annoying. Just a waste of time.

The support of Moneybookers could be better, but the support of Neteller isn't better.

So far never had a problem using Moneybookers, over 1 year, all is good, except they refuse to add balance via my credit card.

    mb is excellent.
never take on their bookies promotions though - they promoted scam books as betonline247 etc. beware.

MB is far better than NT. I think it's too good to miss it.

neteller basically forced myself and four friends to close our accounts with them out of sheer frustration at their ineptitude CS wise ...

    http://www.moneybookers.com/vip/loyaltyclub/index.html

Basically a points based scheme, no more cashback unless you average 25k a month and then only 0.5% but lots of gifts and techy bits if that's your thing ...

Moneybookers is a great service, I love their ** debit card (even though it's quite limited for ATM withdrawals- 250 EUR per day). I agree that their CS sucks unless you're a VIP member, because there is no direct email address. But sometimes even as a VIP you have to wait 1 day for reply.

It would suck if I couldn't use MB anymore. Like others have said, CS is better when you become a VIP member.

Totally agree!! They have a newsletter with offers from crappy bookies ( something that I learned the hard way after falling for one of those offers)

well I've been using MB for several years and don't believe I've ever seen such a newsletter

and I'd never play at any book which I hadn't done a proper due diligence on anyway

Moneybookers are kind of fussy when you set up a new account. And I was always held back by their transfer limits when my account was new.

Once you are VIP they are awesome. Transfer limits are all removed.

I couldn't do without them now.

I worry now that they are even rebranding themselves as 'Skrill'.

If it aint broke, dont fix it.

But I hope that it won't change anything to wrong way.

It's gotta be 3-4 years now when they gave the boot to Canadians.

Actually, I think my account is still open. They just won't process any gambling transactions, which is 99.9% of their business.

I used to have accounts at both but ditched Neteller because I found them less convenient, slower and more costly on withdrawals.
