Bovada double paid withdrawal, negative balance now

So I processed a $1,000 withdrawal via BTC from Bovada several days ago. When I woke up this morning, I'd seen in my Coinbase account that they sent 2 different TXs for $1000 worth of bitcoin. I guess they've realized their mistake, as my account is now showing a -$700 balance.

I guess i have 2 options - redeposit the BTC and get my account back in good standing, or find another sportsbook.

    What would you guys do?

So either be a morally bankrupt individual or an honorable human being.

    Pretty cut and dry.

heritage once credited me over 1K extra on BTC deposit. I chatted CS informing them of error...first they said bitcoin price fluctuations can cause I was like sorry no you credited me to much...they corrected plus through me a 100 free play for being honest...Love heritage!

I've had Heritage double credit my bitcoin deposit and it was a no brainer to notify them of their mistake. They thanked me for letting them know. I notified them and had it corrected BEFORE I would consider making my first bet.

Its the right thing to do, plus karma and also should you run up a balance with the extra money and they somehow discovered the error they could give you all kinds of problems when it comes time to withdraw.

the only way that would work in your favor is if you never bet anywhere ever again

books share info and you could get blacklisted further than you think... taking advantage of errors in deposits/withdrawals is probably the worst thing you can do to a book, even worse than betting obviously bad lines

Yeah, I would keep the money and then HOPE that I got blacklisted from every other offshore S-book on the planet and then I could never send money to strangers overseas ever again.
But that isn't true. Every other S-book on the planet WOULD gladly take your deposit!
You would only have to avoid Bo-vada from here on out.

i'd return it, minus a $55 cashout fee since that is what the books do to us.

The reason I would not pay it back is because of how many people they have "cheated" and taken money from who could do NOTHING about it because the S-book has all the power!!
Now YOU have the power to "cheat" them back if you want to.

I say Stick it in their ass like they do and tell them they can't do anything about it!

CHECK THIS OUT AND GO LOOK FOR YOURSELF!!!

Bo-vada only pays 75 cents on a $1 bet on a banker win in baccarat!!
It is supposed to be 5% so they should pay 95 cents not 75 cents.
Yes, you read that correctly! They are stealing 20 cents that they don't deserve on EVERY $1 banker win!!

I once emailed them and said "20 cents is NOTHING! But look at one million hands!! After you cheat 20 cents off a MILLION hands of $1 baccarat, then you have cheated your clients and stolen TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS that you don't deserve!"

They replied that they were "rounding up to a quarter!" LOL I said "Why are you 'rounding up' to any amount other than what you are supposed to? Why not just take a nickel on a $1 bet like you are supposed to?
And why didn't you 'round up' to a dime instead of a quarter?" And then I said "You don't cheat up to 25% and pay only $75 if somebody wins a $100 bet on the banker, you take the correct 5% and pay them $95!
So why are you taking 25% on a $1 bet and only paying 75c instead of 95c?"

They answered and told me their site was for "recreational use only" and then quit replying! LOL

Tell them you are taking it out of the baccarat that they have been cheating people out of for 15 years or more!

there are so many legitimate ways to make $1000 from books, the thought of having to steal it boggles my mind

just deposit $1000 somewhere with a 100% free play bonus, that's worth $600-700

I always sleep well. From cheating at poker, to casino short pays or fcking people out of withdrawals, it’s books who shouldnt sleep well at night..

One thing I learned and I heard it here first.. There are no A plus books, some books just take longer to screw you than others.

might as well rob every bank near you too, since they're all guilty of worse crimes than that

and burn down every bar for overserving drunks, etc etc

jeez have some personal responsibility... if you think all sportsbooks are cheats then why post on a sportsbook forum

It's like you work for an offshore book. Defending them pretty hard.

This is like monopoly, bank error in your favor.

I don't feel bad for any book that screws up and over pays a player. especiallyy when so many intentionally delay, short pay, and screw people out of money. They should have processes in place to prevent these errors. They can leave his balance negative, and if he decides to play there again he can pay it back. They don't exactly treat winning players well, and they prey on people with legitimate gambling disorders. They get what they get. This isn't a friendly exchange of bets. Gambling can be ugly, and thus error should be a cheap way for them to learn to improve their process
