Cop Claims Girlfriend Shot Herself, But Gunshot Residue was on HIS Hand, NOT HER’S—Dept Rules it Suicide

Channahon, IL — As TFTP reports on a regular basis, police officers reportedly abuse their significant other at four times the rate of non-police officer families. The studies into police domestic violence also suggest that this number is likely higher given the fact that the victims are often too scared to report it, or even if they do, the abuser’s co-workers cover it up. In one of the most glaring incidents of alleged domestic violence and subsequent cover up TFTP has ever seen, a cop in Illinois appears to be getting away with killing his girlfriend.

The parents of Samantha Harer, a deceased 911 emergency dispatcher, have filed a lawsuit against the city of Channahon, Channahon’s Police Chief Shane Casey, Deputy Chief Adam Bogart and Detective Andrew McClellan for police misconduct and deprivation of civil rights in regards to their daughter’s death.

Lawyers for the officers and the city have been fiercely opposing the suit but Kevin and Heather Harer have been fighting them every step of the way.

If we look at the facts of the case, there should be no lawsuit and all those involved should be in prison. Unfortunately, however, because the alleged murderer and his co-conspirators are officers of the law, they’ve reportedly waged an elaborate web of lies to cover up the murder of Samantha Harer — despite overwhelming forensic evidence to the contrary which paints Crest Hill Police Officer Felipe “Phil” Flores as her killer.

"On Feb. 13, 2018, Harer was found nude in her bedroom with a single gunshot through her head. Off-duty Crest Hill Police Officer Felipe “Phil” Flores, Harer’s estranged boyfriend, called 911 claiming Harer had locked herself in her bedroom during an argument and shot herself.

Gunshot residue tests analyzed by the Illinois State Crime Laboratory in Chicago found no gunshot residue on Harer’s hands. The forensic scientist found several traces of gunshot residue on Flores’ right hand as well as blood spatter and gunshot residue on Flores’ black sweatshirt."

To reiterate, when the forensic experts examined the crime scene, they found that there was no way Harer could’ve killed herself as she had no gunshot residue on her hands — meaning she never fired the gun. Instead, it was officer Flores who fired the gun, according to the evidence, and, who also had Harer’s blood on his shirt.

This should have been an open and shut case. Flores should’ve been immediately arrested and tried for the murder of Samantha but this is the exact opposite of what happened.

Months after Harer was found with a bullet hole in her head and after police knew of all the evidence showing Flores was the killer, on Dec. 28, 2018, Channahon’s deputy police chief issued a news release indicating that Harer had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her head and her death was being ruled a suicide.

Brooklyn, N.Y. attorney Jennifer Bonjean, who is representing Harer’s parents in the case has repeatedly called the “investigation” by Flores’ fellow cops a “sham.” It appears, however, that it is far more than that.

The report continues:

"Bonjean argues Bogart, Casey and McClellan are responsible for covering up a homicide because they did not want to tarnish the reputation of another local police department.

In addition to Channahon, the Harers’ lawsuit names the Crest Hill Police Department and Flores as co-defendants.

Bonjean said that Channahon police once told Harer’s parents that gunshot residue was found on their daughter’s hands, while Flores’ tests were negative even though the opposite was true."

Channahon “also hid from them very incriminating evidence before the case dismissed,” Bonjean said. “They didn’t tell them of third party witnesses who heard that there was a struggle.”

Multiple witnesses in the apartment complex at the time of the shooting all reported they heard a struggle before the gunshot went off.

After Harer’s death, Flores was put on paid administrative leave and collected a check without working for more than a year. In March of last year, he abruptly resigned — you guessed it — during the middle of the investigation surrounding Harer’s death.

Patch reports that this isn’t Flores’ first run-in with the law either. He was accused of raping a woman in 2016 but it appears his blue privilege protected him there as well.

"In 2016, Flores was investigated by the Illinois State Police in connection with allegations he raped a sleeping woman at her house in Crest Hill. Flores and the woman had been friends, but were not romantically involved. Flores drew a 30-day unpaid work suspension as a result of the rape allegations, but the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office declined to file criminal charges."

“They covered up misconduct of a fellow officer because police departments circle the wagons when it comes to police officer misconduct,” Bonjean told Patch last week. “That’s essentially the blue code of silence. My clients are entitled to relief because Channahon has just obstructed their effort to learn the truth about Samantha’s death.”

High Ranking Detective Arrested, Jailed for Repeatedly Raping a Little Girl

A highly decorated, high-ranking, and now retired police homicide detective has been arrested and charged with raping an underage girl over a period of two years. District of Columbia retired detective John Pleasant Johnson Jr. was taken into custody and remains in jail on 11 counts, including aggravated sexual battery, indecent liberties, forcible sodomy and object sexual penetration.

Prince William County authorities arrested Johnson last Wednesday after the now 14-year-old says the retired cop sexually abused her over the course of the last two years starting when she was 12. The alleged abuses are said to have occurred between May of 2018 and April of 2020. She was an acquaintance of the former officer and the alleged abuse happened at a residence in Woodbridge.

According to the Washington Post:

"Johnson started working as an officer in 1987 and retired in 2018. A month after he retired, Johnson returned to work as a senior sergeant until he left again in 2019."

This means he was abusing the pre-teen when he was still a sworn peace officer, something TFTP has reported as a common occurrence in many police departments across the country.

While police officers are human like everyone else they’re supposedly held to a much higher standard of behavior but often find themselves in trouble with the very police departments with which they have served.

Many times they’re allowed to walk free without spending one day in jail. Johnson, however, was denied bond and was being held in jail as of the writing of this article although a second bond hearing was scheduled.

DC Police quickly moved to distance themselves from the former detective. In a statement to the media, D.C. Police Chief Peter Newsham said it is, “disheartening to think that a former member of this Department could be involved in such deplorable conduct. Our thoughts are with the survivor and her family.”

The Washington Post also made mention of several other officers who succumbed to the same fate with which Johnson has now been charged.

"Several other officers on the D.C. police force also have been charged with sexual crimes involving youths. Among them is Linwood Barnhill Jr., a longtime D.C. police officer who was charged in 2013 with prostituting two teenage girls and possessing child pornography. In 2014, Barnhill pleaded guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison."

Barnhill, a long-time veteran of the D.C. Police Department, was also exposed by the Free Thought Project for running a child sex ring out of his house. In 2014, in an early morning search warrant issued for his Southeast D.C. apartment found a 15-year-old girl who had previously been reported missing by her parents.

When police rescued the girl she told officers that she had met six other girls inside the Southeast D.C. apartment who told her they were also being prostituted, including with ads posted on backpage.com. Barnhill also took naked photos of the girls, purportedly for use in advertisements for sex.

Marijuana, condoms and a large mirror were also seized from the apartment; law enforcement officials say that the seized mirror had the names of other females who were being trafficked written on it.

Around that same time, another cop in the area was also exposed and arrested for trafficking teens. Lamin Manneh, 32, of Baltimore, pleaded guilty to traveling across state lines and using a telephone and internet to operate a prostitution business using two teens he prostituted out over 300 times.

Just because someone wears or has worn a badge in the past does not mean they can be trusted to be around youth. As TFTP has reported to the point of ad nauseam, predators will often seek out positions of authority whereby they can use their position to groom, cajole, and recruit youth and teens into being in a sexual relationship with them.

When the children attempt to escape they will use mind control tactics such as threats to keep their victims in line. They’re not just officers. Innocent EMT, Working the Front Line, Killed in Her Bed by Cops Raiding the Wrong Home

Louisville, KY — According to his attorney, Kenneth Walker woke up in the middle of the night to armed intruders kicking in his door. He then grabbed his legally owned firearm to defend himself. A hail of gunfire subsequently ensued, all but one of the bullets coming from police weapons, and Walker’s girlfriend 26-year-old Breonna Taylor, a certified EMT working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, was killed in her bed.

Earlier this month, police fired 22 bullets into the couple’s home, many of them shot from outside. According to the attorney representing the family, Sam Aguiar, police were actually looking for someone else and other officers had picked the suspect up at his home in a separate raid shortly before the shooting.

After the raid, Walker was arrested for defending himself in his own home against armed invaders because he shot one of the armed invaders in the leg. Showing the unnecessary nature of the entire deadly debacle is the fact that Walker was released from jail after his arrest because he is not a threat.

Naturally, this infuriated the police union.

“Not only is he a threat to the men and women of law enforcement, but he also poses a significant danger to the community we protect!” River City FOP president Ryan Nichols wrote in a Facebook Post Friday. “Home incarceration was not designed for the most violent offenders!” “I call on the public to condemn the actions of Judge Olu Stevens.”

But according to his family and his attorney, Walker is not a violent offender and was an innocent man raided by cops who murdered the love of his life.

According to WDRB, defense attorney Rob Eggert said police burst in Taylor’s home without announcing their presence and fired at least 22 times, with bullets going into neighboring apartments, and “it was incredible that Mrs. Taylor was the only one killed.”

“Had Breonna Taylor been killed by anyone except police, the person or persons responsible for her death would have been charged with a homicide,” Eggert said in a court document, also alleging Walker is a “victim of police misconduct.”

Taylor and Walker’s family echoed the attorney’s sentiment, claiming police were simply in the wrong home, looking for a different person.

“These are two good kids,” said Bianca Austin, Taylor’s aunt. “This is incompetent police work. My niece lost her life over this.”

“Something went terribly wrong,” Aguiar said. “This was clearly a botched execution of a warrant.”

The police union does not agree and claim that the family’s version of events simply doesn’t matter and is “irrelevant.” They do not see Walker as a man defending his home from intruders who kicked in the door in the middle of the night. They see him as a cop killer who needs to be removed from society.

Police also claim that they did everything by the book when they invaded the home and killed an innocent woman as they looked for non-existent drugs and the wrong person.

As WDRB reports:

"Eggert claims police did not announce themselves as they exploded through the door of the apartment around 1 a.m., while the couple was sleeping.

Eggert acknowledges that Walker fired a shot, hitting Sgt. Mattingly in the leg, but claims Walker did not know he was shooting at police, according to a motion filed in court.

Police then returned fire, killing Taylor, Eggert wrote.

There were no drugs found in the home, Eggert said.

And Walker was not the target of the search warrant and if he had known police were outside, he would have let them in, Eggert said in the motion."

Witnesses to the shooting corroborate this narrative, and told local media that police never announced themselves before barging in to the home.

“All she heard was a ram (breaking through the door) and gunfire,” the unidentified neighbor said.

What’s more, Walker had no criminal past. Taylor’s aunt said Walker had just accepted a job to work at UPS.

“These two were not drug dealers,” she said. “It just don’t make sense to us at all.”

Now, it is up to Walker to seek justice for himself and his recently murdered girlfriend.

Walker “wishes to exonerate himself. His girlfriend was killed in a hail of police bullets while naked and he himself simply acted to try to protect himself,” Eggert said.

Attempted Murder Charges Dropped against Man who Shot Cop during Botched Raid

Charges of attempted murder of a police officer were dismissed Friday in the case of Kenneth Walker, the 27-year-old man who fired his gun at a police officer during a botched no-knock raid based on a lie.

The three Louisville Metro police officers were all in plainclothes when they raided the home of Breonna Taylor at 12:40 p.m. on March 13. Walker and neighbors say the cops never announced themselves as cops but police claim they did.

Jefferson County Commonwealth's Attorney Thomas Wine announced his decision to dismiss the charges during a press conference Friday.

Deputy Gets Prison for Stealing from Charity That Helped Kids of Fallen Military and Cops

Palm Beach, FL — Robert Simeone, a former Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy and U.S. military veteran, originally faced up to 175 years in prison for the 30 felony charges he pleaded guilty to this month. However, despite the long list of crimes, including stealing from a children’s charity, Simeone will spend just five years behind bars thanks to a likely blue privilege-inspired plea deal given to him this month.

Simeone, 49, pleaded guilty to 30 felony charges for stealing $50,000 from a children’s charity and paying kickbacks to lure patients into a drug treatment center he ran in West Palm Beach.

On Wednesday, this prior ‘pillar of the community’ stood before a judge and admitted to stealing tens of thousands of dollars from children in a charity he set up to get rich in the name of dead cops and veterans.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, in 2017, Simeone became one of the first individuals ensnared by State Attorney Dave Aronberg’s Sober Homes Task Force. It’s a law enforcement push against abuses in the area’s drug-recovery industry. There have been more than 100 arrests in three years.

Apparently, it is against the law in Florida to offer or pay any commission, kickback or bribe to promote the referral of patients to or from a health care provider. But paying people to get patients for his drug rehab clinic was hardly the worst of his crimes — and, as some may argue, not really a crime at all. Defrauding children, however, most certainly is.

In 2011, the deputy and veteran, started a charity alleging to help children of fallen military men and women, police officers and firefighters. Instead of giving the money to the children like he promised, this cop put it in his pocket — a lowlife move indeed.

As the Sun Sentinel reports, court records show detectives looked at bank account activity between January 2015 and September 2019 and found $73,556 in deposits were made to the charity. Over the same period, $49,037 in transfers from the charity were deposited into Simeone’s personal and business accounts, an arrest report showed.

“These transfers permanently or temporarily deprived the declared (Children of Wounded Warriors) beneficiaries … of the opportunity to access the funds contributed by the original donors for their assistance,” the report states. “The majority of the donations were instead used for the personal benefit of Robert Simeone or the businesses owned and operated by him.”

As part of his sentence which includes the 5 years, Simeone will be required to pay pay $81,000 in fines; pay $27,800 to three victims; pay more than $25,000 for the cost of the investigations; testify in other patient brokering cases; and not work for any nonprofits or in any capacity related to health care, substance abuse treatment, clinical lab testing, and/or recovery housing.

FBI Launches Investigation into EMT Killed by Cops, Moments Later Police Chief Quietly Quits

Louisville, KY — According to his attorney, Kenneth Walker woke up in the middle of the night to armed intruders kicking in his door. He then grabbed his legally owned firearm to defend himself. After the smoke cleared, Walker’s girlfriend 26-year-old Breonna Taylor, a certified EMT working on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, died in her bed from the gunshot wounds. This happened on March 13, and since then, an FBI investigation has been launched and the Louisville Police Chief Steve Conrad suddenly quit.

According to the AP, Conrad sent out a letter to officers Thursday afternoon, saying there have been “a lot of ups and downs” in the job since he started in 2012. Conrad has come under withering criticism in recent weeks as the family of Breonna Taylor has sued the department and called for his firing.

“You all are weathering a lot right now and I know how challenging this is,” Conrad wrote in the letter to officers. “Approach this as we approach all our struggles — as a team.”

Whatever struggles he’s dealing with cannot compare in size and scope to the ones facing Taylor’s family and Kenneth Walker.

“We will not rest until everyone involved is held accountable, and Breonna Taylor gets the justice she so deserves,” Benjamin Crump, a high-profile civil rights attorney said Thursday in a press statement.

Just before the chief made his announcement of resignation, the FBI announced on Thursday that they opened an investigation into the death of Taylor. We think this is no coincidence.

“The FBI will collect all available facts and evidence and will ensure that the investigation is conducted in a fair, thorough and impartial manner,” Robert Brown, special agent in charge with FBI Louisville, said in a statement.

Officials from the Louisville Metro Police Department claimed that officers knocked on the door and announced themselves and they were “immediately met by gunfire” from Walker, upon entering the home. However, witnesses, and facts tell a different story.

“The Defendants then proceeded to spray gunfire into the residence with a total disregard for the value of human life,” the family’s lawsuit alleges. Taylor and Walker “believed the home had been broken into by criminals and that they were in significant, imminent danger,” the suit added.

As TFTP reported, this wholesale government sponsored execution of Taylor and subsequent unlawful arrest of Walker took place without cause. According to a lawsuit filed by the victim’s family, Taylor was shot 8 times during a drug raid on the wrong home.

For those who may be unaware, Walker is a legally registered gun owner. What’s more, the state of Kentucky uses the Castle Doctrine with a “stand your ground” law. Walker was well within his rights to engage the armed intruders who had no right to be in his home that night — badge or not.

Walker was engaged in no unlawful activity. He has no criminal history and was starting a new job with UPS. No drugs were found at the home and he is not facing any drug charges because cops botched the warrant and were not even supposed to be there, according to the family’s attorney. Cops were reportedly looking for a suspect named Jamarcus Glover, who lived over 10 miles away from Walker and Taylor’s home and had been arrested before the cops even broke down their door.

It was also obvious that Walker had no idea the intruders were cops, especially given the witness testimonies claiming officers never identified themselves before the shooting began. Nevertheless, for defending himself in his own home against armed robbers in the wrong house looking to kidnap him for alleged drug possession, Walker has been charged with first-degree assault and attempted murder of a police officer.

“LMPD has tried to sweep this under the rug,” Sam Aguiar, another attorney on Taylor’s case said. “The family right now has a very understandable desire to know the full circumstances of what went on that night.”

Four Minneapolis Cops Fired over Viral Video Death of George Floyd

The four cops may still face charges as the FBI is investigating the incident.

Less than 24 hours after a Minneapolis cop was caught on video driving his knee into a man's neck until he stopped moving, the city fired four cops involved in the incident, stripping them of the Blue Privilege that has long protected cops in the death of unarmed citizens.

It appears as if the decision to fire the cops came from the city's mayor who has been very vocal about the incident.
