The end of the weekend traffic home from Vegas to LA Is brutal every single time. It took me 8 hrs in January when barely anyone was there. The traffic blows nearly every time heading back

When I lived in Orange County I left for Vegas around 2:30 in the afternoon on a Friday. It took me 3 hours just to get to Victorville in bumper-to-bumper traffic to that point. It took me 3 hours to get to Vegas from there.

It was the last time I drove to Vegas for the weekend. I flew out of Long Beach on JetBlue from that point on. Man that's a great flight. Just 1 hour and you can watch TV the whole way. Long Beach was a nice airport back then 10 years ago. Not even crowded on Friday afternoons.

Yes, while I was there, it seems people lined up to eat at all those hundreds of drive thrus, while swamping's those food joints like hogs eating from a trough.

Especially one excellent food joint, The Blue Bayou.
At The Bayou, on a Sunday, if you're not weighing in at 250 plus, man, woman, or child, those lines are dangerous and near a 1/2 block long.
