Manning is as surgical as it gets but he gets exposed in the playoffs against better defenses. He simply doesn't have the arm strength to make all the throws and the cold weather doesn't help.

Rodgers has all the talent in the world. While he might not be able to dissect a defense like Manning, he can put the ball exactly where it needs to be with a lot of zip on it. Almost indefensible. He's one of the most skilled qbs ever. Funny because Favre was the same way, he just took more chances.

The year before Manning got injured he had one of the worst lines I have ever seen and no running game at all.

Rodgers holds onto the ball too long. That isn't always a terrible thing, some guys throw the ball downfield more so they have to hold onto the ball longer. Drew Bledsoe and Kurt Warner come to mind. These guys weren't dropping back and throwing dump offs to their RBs. But Rodgers is in a west coast offense. He holds onto the ball too long but he has a real low INT rate so I can live with it.

I have been on the rodgers bandwagon since the very beginning, before others but he isn't perfect.

    you are an idiot.

peyton has one of the quickest releases in the nfl. rodgers has one of the slowest and his holding on to the ball too long is nothing new, even his own coach has publicly criticized him for it.

Denver best WRs in the league, best O-line, best kick returner.
We've seen this story before. 2007 Patriots, 2009 Colts, 2011 Packers, 2013 Broncos.

It all ends the same way in the end.

Peyton is one of the best ever certainly, but right now I'd rather have Brady or Rodgers with all of those weapons than Peyton.

Brady's got a better deep ball and is more accurate, but is the worst out of the three if not getting good protection. I'd still take him because I don't think this would be a huge problem with this offense, and he could help spread the defense even more.

Rodgers is the best at succeeding regardless of the pressure (his lines have been consistently bad), which becomes more important in the playoffs.

If Peyton could consume Eli's clutchness, he would be the best ever.

You didn't see the 1996 Broncos either, that was the #1 seed that got shocked by Jacksonville in the 1st round. That same broncos ended up winning b2b superbowl the following years after. Great teams don't make the same mistake twice.

    Have Pats won since 07?
    Have Colts won since 09?
    Have Packers won since 11?

Different era of the NFL here.

Doesnt the #1 seed get a first round bye in the playoffs? But hey, why let logistics or facts get in the way of bold predictions.

He doesn't have to be a mad bomber.
The Broncos have a 1000 different schemes that does not involve putting the ball down field for 40 yards in the air.

That scheme they have with Welker in the backfield is pretty much indefensible.

I seriously don't see what all the hoopla is over, we've seen this before. The guy has been doing this for years. Picking apart defenses surgically, putting up gawdy numbers. Big deal. All he hardly ever does is throw short passes. The NFL has always been about making the big play in the passing game. Too bad he has a candy arm these days.

Look he's playing great I get it. But he chokes every year (except 06) and repeatedly comes up small in the big moment.

All you dopes and can keep jerking off along with ESPN to king Peyton. I'm not impressed. Yawn.

They Bronco's don't play a first round game this year.

The team's that Peyton has started QB for are 9-11 in the post season.

Of those 11 losses, maybe two of them are on Peyton.

Is it Manning's fault Rahim Moore has a brain fart and takes a who knows what fuk angle on Jacoby Jones and gets toasted.
Is it Manning's fault Champ Bailey got abused and beat like a red headed step child by Torrey Smith?

That 17-16 loss to the Jets, Manning completed 70 percent of his passes, and had a QB rating of an ungodly 108.
What exactly was his crime there?
1 TD, no INT's on that Jet defense is huge.

The Charger loss in '08 was a fluke out there in SD
Not his fault at all again.

Do I really have to post all the games the Manning lead teams that lost weren't really on Manning?

Do your home work guey before posting next time.

I'm wearing a patriots jersey as i type this and I can tell you that peyton is a great pocket passer. He's more accurate than brady, a great preparer, knows the x's and o's... Just missing a few elements that gives Brady a slight edge. A very slight edge. I can go into those if needed but I respect the talent.

if this an impressive playoff career toy ou then you have low standards. look at his superbowl year and how many picks he threw. the colts ahd some very good speed based defenses when he was there. the guy is the most overrated qb ever. he just does not produce much when it counts the most

Yawn.
You on drugs or just whackin the weenie too much?

Manning is incredible..but when it gets cold and a blitzing defense plays the broncs it could be interesting..the chiefs may surprise a few.. Half their guys on defense may make the pro bowl this yr..they lead the nfl in sacks..and they have 2 shutdown corners and a safety in berry that will challenge any crossing patterns and pick off deep passes...the chiefs may not have the offense to beat the broncs but they will give them a run for their money on defense

Long enough to know that Peyton and Brady have the same, identical pass completion percentage in the post season

I guess Tom is overrated too?
