Here's a thought: Go stand at one of the busy intersections in your city/town with a sign. I bet those fukks pull in a decent amount a day. You have to make it believable though. Can't go out there wearing nice clean clothes and being clean. Fukk that. It won't work.

Wow you should no matter what keep $20 aside no matter what for instances like this. Open a checking and savings account . As soon as you get paid put 20 into savings and do not touch it. Even if you lose everything in checking you still have that 20.

when you say you only have 2 dollars in your bank account, that doesn't mean you don't have something laying around, right?

i mean, when people say they only have a buck to their name or whatever, i never really take it to mean exactly that.

there are times when i only have 2 bucks in my checking. but that certainly doesn't mean that i only have 2 bucks...

if you REALLY do only have 2 bucks, i'm sorry. i just can't believe that people could/would let themselves get into that situation. happens i guess, but when i'm 'broke', there are probably 10 different places i could get a quick couple hundred until payday.

No i was not joking. He said he was hungry and 20 bucks would buy him food. $2.17 will not do much but $20 can get you a meal easily. I am surprised you do not think $20 cannot do anything. I have seen a couple threads that someone says they lost alll their cash and had no way to pay for food. One guy said he had not enough in his account to buy a value meal. That is my point. I am not saying you will live off $20 . But you will at least not go hungry. A value meal is what , $5 ? It EASILY pays for that .

    $20.

Having 6 months of living expenses in savings is more like it, that you do not touch. More like a Emergency Fund.

    20 bucks.

again i feel like more people should buy gold/silver.

you get your shopping, '**** it i'm gonna blow some money' fix, but it's a smart investment and can be used as an emergency fund if needed.

    plus, they're so purdy..

You know, i KNEW you were going to ask that lol.

We do not know his situation . I am assuming he just needs it for a couple days so he would get value meals. It depends on how far your next paycheck is. You should always have something stashed aside just in case. $20 is the minimum. It will get you by a couple days. He did not specify so i went with that amount. However i could feed myself on $20 for 5 days if i had to. I would get groceries though in that case not fast food. It would be eggs, hot dogs (more in a pack to last longer), Cheaper soda, stuff along that lines.

It's all relative... obviously $20 is just change for a lot of people, but if you have $2.17, finding a $20 dollar bill stashed somewhere will make you 10 times richer...
