What's up fellas. God do I love college hoops, probably my favorite sport and the one that I have done better at in the past two seasons than the others. Phi Slamma Jamma for those of you who haven't been on this earth for as many years as myself was the nickname the University of Houston gave itself during the glory years of Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler & others. They dominated and that's what I want to do to the books this season. All constructive criticism is welcomed as well as your own thoughts to add on! Here's to achieving our goal boys ... making the "Big Dance" the one that we do around our piles of cash!

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9TH
NORTH CAROLINA -30.5 (-105)
This should be an absolute blood bath as Roy Williams looks to establish this "new-look" Heels squad as the dominant one in college hoops from Day 1. It is appropriate to say UNC isn't rebuilding, they have reloaded and will be firing bullets. The Heels frontline should dominate with Ed Davis, Deon Thompson & Tyler Zeller highlighting that crew. And don't forget frosh John Henson who may get a chance to play some more minutes tonight when this gets out of control. In the backcourt, the Heels must replace Ty Lawson but should be okay with Larry Drew and freshmen Dexter Strickland on-duty plus Marcus Ginyard returning. Carolina played one exhibition against Belmont Abbey and won by 48 without breaking a sweat. The frontcourt combo of Davis, Thompson & Zeller had 53 points in that one. Isaiah Thomas' Florida International squad is without most of its best scoring options from last season from a 13-20 squad. He's brought in a lot of JUCOs, but is also heading into his coaching debut without an exhibition game under his belt, not wanting to play Carolina (he tried to bail on this game and get it changed) and with the health of his mother (heart attack) on his mind. The backcourt of the Heels may be the weak spot early on this season, but they shouldn't find much to trouble them here as their objective will be simply to get the ball inside to the bigs and let them do the damage. I think having the inexperienced backcourt may actually help as Roy Williams is unlikely to keep the foot off the pedal to get these guys used to live game action as quickly as possible. Anything less than total domination tonight by UNC would be shocking.
