It seems like expansion hockey teams have way more success than other expansion teams in different sports. Maybe its because its easier to build a hockey team through the expansion draft. I know in Vegas's case they built their team around a really good goaltender which is smart in hockey. As for Seattle they have some nice young talent which they got through the expansion draft.
