30 lbs is 30 lbs. Obviously 30 lbs of muscle mass is more difficult to deal with. But I've grappled with guys + or - 30 lbs and it's a world of difference.

I'm 6'5" 240 pounds and in good shape, I wrestled in high school, trained a few years as an adult in grappling here in LA years ago... I've been rag dolled by one or two guys around 190-200lbs (D1 wrestlers) with that wirey gorilla like strength combined with good wrestling skills, it was very disheartening.. Out weighed them by 40 pounds... Very humbling..

Sure weight and size advantages matters but that's not always the case when the skill and farm boy strength advantages come into play for the smaller dude.. Cardio and speed factors also can be hard too to deal with as the bigger guy..

The most humbled I've ever been is completely overpowered by a big dude on roids. Guys was literally 2X stronger than me and weighed about 30 lbs more and I couldn't do anything grappling wise.

dont sleep on soa. while he may be out wrestled, he is a great striker, has great power and a concrete chin. his BJJ is also far superior to roscholts, i wouldnt be suprised to see a submission. only chance roscholt has of beating soa is to hold him down 3 rounds, soa is the more complete fighter.

Contemplating if I want to play this action??? Jared is such an easy target to hit and Soa can hammer anyone unconscious if connecting solid....

Gotta figure Jared isn't gonna waste any time as he will shoot or close the distance in a hurry.. Jared has decent chin strength too..

Sad to say I think this is gonna be a pass and no play for me.. I think always go with the wrestler first but with a good striker with size and as experienced as Soa with that many fights under his belt he may just hit the target early on...

Forget about a submission from the bottom from Soa GR33D by the way.. Not gonna happen with these big HW's..

Only saw two videos on him there wasn't much footage I could find. He's replacing Claudio Da Silva and took the fight on just over three weeks notice. He's only 22 years old, but he has pro fights listed on his record from 2004 and 2006 which is really strange...? He has not faced great competition so far, and this is his first time fighting outside of Brazil. He looks like he is undersized for welterweight, and from the tape that I saw his opponents were smaller also. Magny should be able to keep him on the outside and defend his takedowns since he will be shooting from further away, Magny has a huge reach and is 6'2 or 6'3 this kid is 5'9 or 5'10 and his offensive wrestling was not set up well from the limited tape that I saw. Magny's Tdd has looked pretty good since he switched over to grudge, I don't see him getting neil down really. (I'm also somewhat biased since Ive ran into Magny a couple times before he was on tuf).

Being an East Coaster, I'm more looking at it as staying up all night Friday night to watch, starting at 2:30 am then crashing after 7:30 am on Saturday when it's over and then getting up Saturday sometime after noon and watching the San Antonio show that evening.

^^^I put a little on Nate +170 as the underdog (1 unit) but I agree that this fight could go South for him, I'm not confident and probably should have made this a no play.. Temped by the odds as usual.... I'm thinking Nate isn't completely washed up just yet and Tuna isn't all that..

I got some back up play taking the U +100 for (5 units) if Nate does fold in a hurry..
