Didn't expect Rockhold to be such a favorite here... I was thinking more along the lines of 3:1.
Most likely a no play for me.

i might have to make a nominal play on jardine here, but i think ill wait for bodog to release a line. i can see him reaching +450-500.

+300 vs chuck liddell was his biggest line in ufc.

Was hoping for some value with Mo

But am intrigued with the thought of a Mein play at current line.

this is a tough card. i think ill tread this one lightly and only make small plays on mein +280 and stinson +300 (tailing jesus). ill put something on amagov if the line improves, but i doubt it will. i also plan on parlaying rockhold and king mo. a lot of juice but i think those are the safest bets on the card.

i really hope 5dimes releases prop lines. then we could have some fun.

Too bad ultra specific props like Luke Rockhold via left hook aren't available. It would probably hit.

strikeforce had some solid events last year. however, post-zuffa strikeforce probably wont be the same. ill still watch though... and bet.

and i think it would be hilarious if jardine somehow wins.

Making a small play on Amagov here.

Stylistically, he reminds me a bit of Saffiedine. Reviewed his two most recent fights -- Some things I like, some things I don't, but for value, I'll play him... No need to review Lawler, as you know what you get -- Heavy handed, solid TDD, and underrated but also underused wrestling. (If he goes in this fight as a "fighting for my job" fight, maybe he surprises us and uses his wrestling)

    Regarding Amagov...

    Things I like:
*Fairly sound technical striking utilizing a mix of hand strikes and leg kicks, and tends to keep his guard up.
*Multiple throws and trips used for takedowns; Lawler has excellent TDD vs wrestlers -- not sure how that will translate vs throws/trips.
*Uses a teep (or similar style) kick to maintain distance; will need to utilize to keep Lawler out of range.

    Things I don't like:
*Gassed bad in 3rd round of Stallings fight; and his technique got sloppy as f*ck as a result.
*Occasionally will get baited into wild exchanges; if he does this with Lawler, he'll need a pillow to rest his head on when he gets put to sleep.

I can see Amagov outpointing Lawler with his technical striking, and recognize at the same time that Lawler could put his lights out with one of his cement-handed haymakers at any time as well. But for the + money, I'll take Amagov here. Wish I would've caught the +170, but was still tracking footage down and the line dropped... A friend of mine at open workouts yesterday also mentioned that Amagov appeared to have a reasonable size advantage (may aid in clinchwork that Amagov uses for his trips/throws), and that Lawler's attitude seemed unmotivated (perhaps underestimating Amagov and collecting a check). I put more weight in the first observation, of course, as the second is 100% subjective speculation. None the less, I respect my source enough to note it.

    GL guys

Yeah Amagov would be my most likely play if I were to play anything on this card. Lawler is in a bit of an awkward position, as you say he isnt really fighting for anything now other than for a paycheck, and if he beats Amagov it doesnt really do much for his career other than halt a 2 fight losing streak and if he wins nobody will really take any notice! On the other hand, Lawler is clearly considerable step up from Stallings and Anthony Smith for Amagov.

Ive also considered playin Nah-Shon Burrell and Trevor Smith as well as dogs but will probably stay clear - it's not like we are short of any MMA in next month or so!

Anyone think Jordan Mein is worth a play here? He impressed me in his fight against cyborg and Tyron Woodley will probably gas at some stage as usual.

I'll put a little on Larkin (+440) and stayed away from the rest. I'm sure there's value around but don't like this card.

Rockhold that high doesn't seem right, but it's Jardine, so staying away. Woodley hasn't impressed me that much, but his skillset might justify that price. Don't know enough about Amagov. Larkin is athletic and while there's the likely chance he has no answer for Mo's wrestling, he still stands a chance as I don't see Mo putting him away. He's athletic, big, and a better striker, I don't want to say Feijao, but Larkin is definitely most similar in terms of Mo's previous opponents, why not a flier at +440.

    GL
