After he went down, he seemed completely fine at first, and then he started acting hurt. He allowed the punches to come on. Now, I'm not certain that was the case. I wouldn't be surprised if the Mexicans got a hold of him and made him throw the fight. That would explain why he seemed scared and didn't seem like he was gonna win in everything you see him in leading up to the fight. I say it's like a 55% chance that's the case. But with this fight, it's more like 95%. No knee touched him, first of all. Second, only one of the punches actually landed, but he started acting hurt before the one that landed. That dude could take hits, he wouldn't go down easy. And he knows not to knee in the head while the opponent is down.
Killin me Gabe! Should use this in your stand-up!

So is this the first KO by dong strikes then? Should be held in some books or MMA hall of fame or something.

No, it happened before to Mark Hunt vs Melvin Manhoef.

Thankfully, I bet the house on Rockhold when he was walking into the cage, so I finished up a few bucks on this event

As for Amagov, I'll have to wait to see the replay/gif to make a judgment. It did look odd but it was the shots after the knee that put him away,

"After last night's Strikeforce card, someone very close to Luke Rockhold (younger brother, cousin...etc) stood outside the arena at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and repeatedly yelled 'Keith Jardine sucks!' Within seconds, an older lady approached the guy from behind and started pummeling him in the back of his head. Security guards rushed to break up the unexpected altercation. Bewildered, the guy asked who started attacking him for no apparent reason. A security guard simply responds with 'That was Keith Jardine's mom.'"

Might play some over / unders if my damn site gets the lines up in time.
GL everyone, should be a solid night of fights - I think they are all interesting and exciting match ups
damn, none of my dogs hit

Also I foolishly put a last minute play on larkin because I was on tilt from mein's loss, lost 50 more on larkin for an 0/3 night totaling -$170.

Even in retrospect I'm still glad I didn't play saff, I think that fight could have been scored either way and wouldn't argue a 29-28 for stinson.

It is what it is, could have been worse.

Hope everyone else had a good night - this was a no play card and I should have stuck with my gut feelings and just stayed out!

one of the judges agreed with you

We needed winslow's gangly sheman ass in there as a ref... she would have stood that up a dozen times.

I couldn't believe the ref let that fly for 15 minutes. And the one time he did stand it up it looked like mein was going for a kimura lol...

my friends and I were wondering the same thing... We replayed it over and over. From the side angle you can see amagov's head bounce when lawler throws it, but from the other angles it doesn't look like he gets hit at all.

The only reason I do believe he did get hit with the knee is because the way amogov's knees buckled, they looked like a typical buckle from a strike, not because they were buckling from lawlers weight coming down on him.

But it does make you wonder and does look fishy...

0-3 and only -$170? Damn. If being -$170 is a bad night for you, then not bad. I lost 5 times that on Amagov alone.

I had pretty much all my winning plays throughout the week parlayed wit Arkansas St tonight and they lost. I am down huge this week.

Really? Every post-fight replay I saw showed that the knee did not connect. Even if it did, there is no way he would be put out. That guy is not taking a loss as long as he's got fight in him. If he's hurt, he'll fight through it. The cup thing is what Bas Rutten was saying. To me it just stinks of it being a thrown fight.

If Lawler hit him with his hardest knee 5 times in a row, Amagov would still be in the fight. There's no way ONE knee that that didn't really touch him put him out. SOMETHING IS UP.

    Special thanks to him then.
I liked Robbie to bounce back in this fight but told myself not to play unless it fell below -150. Hit it at -130 and -120. And trust me, I was nervus as hell, as usualy when I hit a line that falls this much I'm not on the right end.

Guess I was only person silly enough to take him at -170.

It's nice to see Gabe admit a losing week for a change. How much did you lose Gabe? Will you be dumpster diving for food out the back of the Comedy Store this week?

    about 4k--- lol possibly

if arkansas st won, i'd be up biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig. i thought they would win for sure, i had all my bets throughout the week parlayed and teasered with them. can't believe i made such a n00b mistake.

"for a change," though? i've always said i have losing weeks.
