It's market makers but I don't know the relationship between the market makers and Fairlay. Are the market makers paying Fairlay up front or is it a credit relationship?

Smarkets too there is direct correlation in markets so those professional market makers are using scripts on multiple exchanges I think...The market makers have mega bucks spread over many exchanges to ensure profits

Do you think that Fairlay has the right to confiscate a player's deposits? It's outright stealing.

It's one thing to have good intentions starting out. It's another to make the tough but fair decisions you planned once financial reality sets in and the user base grows.

Fairness when the tough decisions come up is pretty much vital in my mind.

I wish we knew more facts about this one to be sure either way.
There is an extremely high correlation between overly likeable owners/reps and future theft. It started with Mark Del and Bet Camelot in the early 2000s, and more recently, Jon from BetIslands. In my book, the quieter a sportsbook is on the fourms, the better.

The feel while going through some of the pages... and just looking a few different games over... reminds you of a sportsbook and not an exchange. If they want to advertise it as a true exchange... it's fine with me. But, it does feel like a regular sportsbook. They have a wide selection of lines on select games. For instance... if a true game's line is -7 they will have selections from -4 to -10. I don't know how they can configure this? But, the odds are almost exactly the same... when scrolling through buying points at Heritage. You might save a $1.00 or two.

I don't think any book or exchange has a right to keep a player's money. I just don't understand why the same individual didn't fight for the money? He apparently delayed for some odd reason? Why would you do that for? Why are you hiding? There's a reason why that player stalled...

And I know what you're going to say... but it doesn't matter either way.

    Well this is interesting....

I'm looking over the Navy game and also the Miami game in college football at fairlay. The cap is $140.00

6 hours from kickoff.... and that's the max wager? Something is really wrong with their website at the moment.

    Definitely not a good sign.

And the juice is -112/-112 This is crazy.

A lot of people are complaining on the Fairlay "Public Chat"... no one can place any wagers. Wonderful.

Did everyone leave on a vacation for the holiday? Unreal

Being an exchange sometimes markets have low liquidity esp on horses and minor games until closer to start..tgem bring down may also be the issue.
they have gone down before like u are mentioning but normally come back quick..one time though I remember it was almost a full day..let us know when it's back up as UK racing starts soon and I've got few I wanna lay..

If his documentation is false, can Fairlay steal his deposit? He didn't take a bonus or bet.

I think if he did send fraud docs or did not comply w request KYC in good faith AND the fact that he was not on up and up and using as a mixer 40X without wagering AND this is the 1 and only case where they ever have done this I really don't have a problem w. them holding his funds BETG is the only one ever they requested KYC on ever...Seriously we see C and higher grade books hold funds for lesser then this when fraud is probable...

Bonus abuse is the only time that I can remember money being confiscated by another book. I don't remember any books rated C- or higher confiscating deposits.

    Whatever betg did is inconsequential.

I guess my other point is with betg... should we even believe the hype that his funds were confiscated? How do we really know if they were just taken out of his acct? Did he post a screen shot? I can't remember if he posted anything in this thread or not? All I see is a megaphone that says... "DON'T PLAY HERE... MY FUNDS WERE STOLEN."

Post some screen shots.... and I might change my mind. The story seems so oddly weird.

"steal" is not really the appropriate word at this point.

If what Kona claims is true (which has not always been the case) and Fairlay say they will pay him if he supplies sufficient ID, and the request is reasonable, then the matter is not final.

I hope they have communicated this directly to the player as well as posting the claim on a bitcoin forum though. If not it means nothing really.

Not if he refuses a reasonable ID request.

If they don't operate under a license that specifies what is reasonable and what happens to that money it gets tricky though.

"Fairness" should prevail as it does with other good offshores.

In this situation, if the player is not being accused of cheating them, the fair solution appears to be pay him and cut him loose to me.

What's the justification for doing otherwise? Unoffical money laundering fighters who keep funds themselves does not fly for me.

I can't think of a reasonable justification to hold onto these funds for an unlicensed offshore personally.

    Fairlay stated this
We asked for it because there is strong evidence that the user is engaged in criminal activities
If a book accuses someone of criminal activity, they should just part ways. betg doesn't know what Fairlay plans to do with his video.

Don't get me wrong. This guy has been doing such strange things that I think most of us could believe something criminal could have been going on.

But many pages into this thread, no one seems to be able to point to exactly what is criminal here.

I don't see how bitcoin transfers in and out of Fairlay with no betting history to back it up can be used as a money laundering device. Would love to be corrected if wrong about that and anyone knows better?

I'd also love to know if Fairlay is actually calling what we know here as the "strong evidence". To make that claim on an assumption would just about kill any credibility they have left in this matter.

Yes in there btc forum they said if he sent video he would get paid many times if he sent video ...Betg then said he had no camera..just send the video BETG! Black Friday cameras are like 15$ camera then if it matches get huge interest on your btc 9k+
I don’t think that asking for a video is a unreasonable request based on his actions and statements

also why did they ask for video? Betg sent them Id after 2 months..fairlay didn’t start the possible fraud talk until that point..I think the docs he sent for kyc possibly where fraudulent that’ why they asked for video and that’s why he can’t send it cause he’s stuck

    It's a tough one Kona.

You make it sound like he has simply dodged KYC at every turn. Which does kind of leave them justified in holding his money until he does comply.

If it's because they think he might be a bad person, without being able to point to any way he has cheated them or other exchange users, I'm not sure what their end game really is though. What are they going to do if they deem he has been criminal? Report this to authorities somewhere? Hand in the funds as the proceeds of crime? Of course not. So what is their plan?

As much as you like them it seriously looks like they saw an opportunity to take $10K for themselves and try to intimidate a questionable looking customer into letting it happen.

This site isn't the most traditional site. I dont think you can parlay, site is shitty compared to others HOWEVER it has the quickest payouts in the industry. Lightning fast. I will never understand how heritage, bookmaker, youwager and 5 dimes bitcoin payouts have to be done at a certain time before 3pm and only one a day. Sites like fairlay and nitrogen where you can request as many as you want and payouts are done 24/7 is how it should be in every level.

I cannot send them video anymore as the time for it passed 24hours after I have sent them ID and they requested for it within 24h and I denied because of no camera... they started their poema that I am criminal and when I will send video I am not criminal? what is this guys???? will I get paid then? of course not! like they promised to pay after I send kyc and they didn't pay... they also want me to prove "source of the funds" depositted to the 1 of my 1000 bitcoin addresses which I couldn't iven find in my history!! this is UNREAL TO DO and they know that.
On the other side: They have no license so I cannot fight for the money with any licensor which should be easy to win... eventually I can report the site that they accept deposits and bets(no matter if they pay) but they are unlicensed and try to get deposit back in this way? what do You think? any possibility?

    OK.

You can stop repeating your rubbish now.

If the book says you can send them a video now and get your money then this crap you keep repeating about 24 hours is ridiculous.

People are regularly asked for proof of income source. This is possible for you too. Acting dumb and talking about 1000 bitcoin accounts isn't getting you anywhere. That's not what they want and you know it.

Don't confuse me saying they should pay you with me believing a word you say.

If you do not make an effort to complete reasonable KYC requests then this is 100% in your hands. No use abusing the book. You need to make an effort yourself to try to satisfy them.

If you refuse that is fine. But that is your choice and you are basically choosing to forfeit your own money and cannot criticize the book for your own choices if that is the case.

Contact Fairlay and try to sort this out. Come back and let us know how that proceeds and we can offer advice.

Don't post here about it again until you do.
