Just my two cents.
Also I agree with you Bautista-Agut re. fighting like hell yesterday. He's a strange one. He was playing poorly. Passive, making errors, and mentally just not quite there.
Until 6-3 4-2 down. Just a completely different player. GGL played well too, but RBA was just relentless. His defence for superb.
So not sure what the approach is here. The problem is Roberto was just so subpar for the first 60 minutes of that match. After a long match yesterday, will he be able to start and stay at that higher level?
I've watched Fognini against him in both match this year and it's not the best matchup for Roberto. He will have to play at his best I believe given Fognini looks motivated to defend his title. In Monte Carlo I believe he actually played close to his best. Yet still came up short in two sets. Again, the match up was obviously in Fognini's favour.
Anyway, given the way RBA started yesterday's match I think I can get better odds than 2.90. Plus, seeing the motivation and game plan of his will be important. If he can at some point turn that switch on like he did against GGL down a set and a break, I think he'll be very hard to beat. Like I mentioned earlier, GGL still played good tennis. He just couldn't break through RBA's defence. And although it went to 7-6 in the third, GGL never really threatened in that set.
