I've got a strong feeling France will go with Monfils last minute. Benneteau was a complete flop and Monfils showed better IHC form recently.

Was refreshing to see Wawrinka keep it together.

I wonder who gets the home tie between Italy and the Swiss.

Also interesting to see what happens to outright odds in a few days time.

Swiss will play at home because last DC match beteeen these nations was in Italy.. potential final against France or Czech would be away anyway

The Davis Cup explanation is poor and it's stupidly complicated and takes all sorts of historic data into consideration.

I'll just wait. They should mention it soon.

Ahh ok so it's simple to determine as long as they're previously played a tie.

Anyway great news. On Indoor Hard against Italy and Fognini and Seppi don't really stand a chance.

Btw buddy how did you work out the final will be away?

Solely because their last meeting was on Swiss home-ground?

No don't think Switzerland have played France or Czechs before. So wondering too how he determined it.

Because last historical tie between Switzerland and France/Czech Republic was both in Switzerland

I don't think it would be a bad thing for Switzerland to play in France when you see how poorly Waw plays in Switzerland France would probably choose clay as surface but it is also one of the best of Waw... tough still semis to play before do more theories.. lol

Yeah that did cross my mind. And I think you're probably right there.

The semi's should be easier than this Tie for sure.

Isn't clay by far the worst surface of the entire French roster??

Yeah that's the rule, pretty simple actually ...

I would say it is the best surface of Gasquet (behind grass) and Monfils, not the best of Tsonga but he did well in Roland Garros last 2 years (1/4 & semi).
