    There are different displays all over the city. The one that stops the tennis just happens to be the one that's closest. I assume they keep that particular one short to accommodate the tennis if it's still on but still allows people with kids to celebrate in the CBD and get home at a decent hour.

    I've seen maybe 10 kangaroos in the outer suburbs since moving to Australia. A lot more near highways. Koalas are in trees so you need to go out looking for those.

    It would have to be 45 mins of bottle rockets and sparklers or every person in your city would be coughing up $100 per head per year for that.

    The huge NYE fireworks in Sydney only go for 15 minutes and that costs over 6 million apparently.

    One of the commentators agreed with you that the break wouldn't have helped her ankle at all. But she seems to be playing ok again on it somehow... I'm just waiting for it to snap. There's obviously a reason she's rolled it twice so I'm pretty amazed she's back out there. Tough chick.
