    BOL account hacked

I have had an account for a few years on BOL, and been very happy, no problems with deposits/withdrawals, etc. A week ago I logged in and noticed all my money was gone except what was pending in bets. About 3800, plus I had another 400 in my poker account. It was all trasnferred into poker, and when I logged into poker it kicked off whoever had hacked my account, and then immediately kicked me back off again. I tried to call BOL immediately thinking this would help them figure out what was going on, but after waiting on hold over 2 hours and not talking to anyone, I decided to just send an email. They responded within a day and said they had forwarded the issue to the department in charge to review. That was over a week ago now and still haven’t heard anything back. I haven’t logged into my account since the email so they could resolve the issue. I have read this happening a few years back, but didn’t know if anyone has dealt with this recently and if there’s any additional steps I should take?

You know this is kinda of alarming as there have been a few of these...that said One thing on your side though if it is legitimate a hack when these scum bags fraudsters transfer to poker its easy for BOL and there skin to see it is a hack and chip dump...Others have gotten there funds as BOL is good at resolving these issues ...see this https://www.sportsbookreview.com/for...e-account.html

Thanks, I will let you know what happens. I was having to use my phone only to bet the NCAA games, and it usually worked, but sometimes it didn’t work either. I was hoping it would be resolved in time to bet the Final 4, but I guess I will have to wait a little longer. I hope they’re able to get their site issues resolved, they are easily my favorite poker site, and they work very well when I travel overseas too.

Please submit a complaint form with your BetOnline account number so we can ask management to review.

I just got an email back from BOL, saying they were able to confirm my account was hacked and reimbursed my funds.

Why do we never hear about 5 Dimes or Heritage or Bookmaker accounts being hacked?

That’s good good news and what we expect from a book like BOL....wonder if these two are inside jobs or straight up hacks....

    Really three possibilities:

    1) A BOL employee is responsible.
    2) Someone hacked in the BOL servers and accessed the account.
    3) Someone managed to steal the password off of a public machine or wifi.

All three are preventable by good technology. I am starting to think that maybe BOL is not using good technology.

Hey, i been through the same issue. It seems BOL is known for their chip dumping. Keep talking to them and ask them to escalate it to their manager. I had about 700 usd taken from me and the ones that weren't were in bets.

Took a few days for them to refund me, then i told them to bar/lock me from using poker. Change your password and dont view sports online from shady sites (another forum said this could be the reason how they find your info). Overall best of luck. But most important lock/bar u from poker!

You hear of this so often, so have to wonder: why haven't these betting sites implemented 2-factor? Google authenticate is open to all (an app that runs on your phone, and generates these 6-digit numbers you have to enter as a second password).

I am not sure why they don’t add 2fa, seems it would solve a lot of these problems.

Finally after over 2 weeks they claimed to have returned my funds, however, they returned $1,900 when I had almost $5,400. I sent sent another email Friday and filed a claim here as well. What happened is I had about $3600 in my account plus some pending bets. I noticed it was gone and sent my original email to BetOnline. In that email I asked them to lock my account until we could get this sorted out. They responded said they weren’t working on it and so forth. Then even after recieving emails back my bets were completed $1900 worth, and someone was still able to get into my account, even though I had asked for it to be locked, and started dumping chips again from my bets winnings.

This morning I received an email back from BetOnline stating “Kindly please accept our apologies in behalf of the BetOnLine Team. Please access the account an check on the sports side balance, I do see $1995.01 available..” Even though the whole point of my email to them was that was the wrong amount.

This is becoming increasingly frustrating, since I would like to continue making bets, but I don’t want to do anything until this is right. I still haven’t heard back from SBR yet, I am hoping they can get this cleared up.

I hope you get a resolution soon that you are happy with. It’s not just sports betting online, there are so many bad people out there that will cry for making mistakes and losing money, and it just makes it even more difficult for the honest people who really were hacked. I have heard countless times even with daily fantasy sports people lose everything and cry fraud and hacks. Yet to dumb to realize any decent security department will know if you are using a vpn and can trace the real ip. Hope you get it all worked out. This thread is making me think twice about using Betonline as my primary with how frustrating mobile is to stay connected without getting logged in now hearing about this, and I don’t play poker. Learned that lesson when they seized all the funds few years ago in the states.
