    Only just seen this thread, i got a pm on bettingadvice the day of this match offering me a paid for service betting on fixed matches. This was the freebie, max stakes @ 2-2 or 9pts 1 @ halftime x @ 90mins. Pretty sure most who bet on this posts on Bettingadvice

    only for this match in Italy Championship, Russian books did not give additional bets of correct score...

    Hi everyone,

    Just thought I would give my side to this. I was trying to stay out of this thread while discussions were still ongoing but it's now some time after the event and all avenues have been exhausted so I guess it's not going to make any difference.

    I can categorically state that I did not have any prior knowledge of this game being a fix, or anything else. I was actually arbing the score for this game because Interwetten had given me a big bonus offer the week before and this was my first bet to try and clear the wagering requirements attached to the bonus, it wasn't my first bet on my account though so I've no idea why the limit was there but it was.

    As you can guess it was completely disheartening to wake up in the morning after the game and see that Interwetten had voided the bet some 9/10 hours AFTER the result had come in. I find this pretty disgraceful to be honest, especially as the bets I had on this game not being 2-2 at Betfair were processed as normal with no mentioned of match fixing. The reason I believe this game was bet on so heavily was that the odds at Interwetten and other sportsbooks were pretty high in an "arbers" favour for this game. Whether this was a honey trap for places like Interwetten to get people to win so they could then void who knows?

    I've never been able to find out if Interwetten returned funds to players and voided bets who had lost but I would be very surprised if they had.

    The regulators of Malta the LGA have been pretty shambolic in all of this, answering one email and then ignoring any further correspondence.

    I'd like to thank the people at SBR that initially helped me with this claim and I appreciate the path they took and why it was not possible to progress but I am disappointed to see that they haven't been downgraded.
