Heehaww said it well, these movements are like anything else in gambling. Some win, and some lose.

Btw, if you are a big soccer bettor I would check the lines on betfair. I imagine you are in the U.S. with no access to betfair (as am I) but they are the best site to use to get a leg up on the market. Betfair is the true market on these soccer matches, and U.S. books move accordingly.
What should I be using betfair for in terms of benefiting my betting on my sportsbook? I do bet soccer a ton, and curious how this can help me. I know they use something on that soccer thread to see how much money is going on a match but not sure what site.

And I agree with you, following line movements does not really do much. I used to think it did till I realized it just cost you money.

The fact that books move off of betfair gives you a chance to get a leg up on the line movement. For example - if 5dimes is sitting at Man U +150, and the betfair market is +145/-147, then you know it's the right time to lock in your Man U bet. On the other hand, if you want Man U but 5dimes is offering +150, and the betfair market is +160/-163, then you might as well wait before locking in. We are not talking big movements here, but long term they mean a lot.

That is great advice, I'm definitely going to look into that. Little things like that make a big difference when you're wagering a few hundred bucks a day for sure.

Yup, just unfortunate that 9 times outta 10 if you try and bet more than 500 they see it come across their bet ticker and change the line on you. Less than 500 and you will not have issues.

Stop asking questions about limits when your max bet is probably $500.

From what i seen in your posts, you keep talking about getting limited and those similar questions.

You seem to be obsessed with this when it doesn't even concern you much.

Its like saying you want to play on pinnacle yet your max bet $500 only a game.

Or worst... sbr posters who bet $20 a game and want access to pinnacle to save juice which is just epic fail.

I'm not looking for untouched limits on props. But I think it's ridiculous to cut someone's limit to the level heritage did.

    Will check the other thread.
Why didn't you say this in the beginning? You weren't "cut off" anywhere. 5D limits to $100 on reduced juice very quickly, and Heritage never takes much on props (nor does any book outside of Bookmaker). You implied initially that you were cut to $100/$50 across the board at 5D/Heritage, which would have been a far different story.

You are like a stalker who refuses to accept the facts. Your assumption that it doesn't effect me is merely a hope on your part to make me look stupid. Why the hell would I bring these things up if I was betting less than the max?

"Your max bet is probably $500."

BASED ON WHAT? You clearly have it out for me for whatever reason and that's fine. I'll give you one more reason to hate me...

At this point in time, you are not on my level sports betting wise. That is a fact.

My very first post was about being limited. I never said I was "special" for being limited at these books. I have seen countless stories of others who were limited WAY before I was. My limits at 5Dimes and heritage are 20% of the regular account limits. MANY others are in similar situations. Just reporting the facts.

Wow, just realized the last post in this thread was May of 2014 before Dynamite bumped it.

Stalker much? I actually feel honored that I had such an effect on you that you decided to go back 12 months to bump a thread. (one that you have absolutely nothing on me in any way)

    Pathetic on every level.

So much stupid in one post.

Its not about individual bet sizes. My average bet size is only around the $300-500 range, but when you are betting consistently that amount ends up being about a $5 million turnover on the year and the 1% or 2% better odds you get from being able to shop around at places like Pinny make a huge difference to the end of season profit

If you're going to stalk bump a thread from a year ago at least try to not sound like a complete dead shit

I max bet on 5dimes the "Total bases" MLB prop (to win $250) and am up $3000 so far on it this season alone. Last season about $2500 total. Should I expect a ban soon? I've built a system that works extremely well for that. And I always thought -115/-115 juice was too hard to overcome, ha.

No you said, "I have been limited by both 5dimes and heritage to pretty much worthless levels." Then you admit the "worthless levels" were only for reduced juice wagers at 5D and props at Heritage (neither of which are offered with initial limits of any real size). So basically next to nothing happened to you and you decided it was "worthy" of an entire thread.

    Wtf are you talking about?

I did NOT say my 5dimes limits were just on reduced plays. I gave the reduced one as an example. They are 20% of the NORMAL LIMITS ACROSS THE BOARD. Why is this such a difficult concept to understand? 20% isn't significant? Did I say I was special because of this? No. But if 20% of the normal max isn't significant, you are lost as one can be.

As far as heritage goes, it's pretty much the same story. Futures that used to have limits of $500 are now $50. Did I say they were massive to begin with? No, but 10% of the regular limit is significant.

Any other worthless/ignorant comments you'd like to share?
