    Beware...sportbet

Update: SBR finds that player defrauded Sortbet.
    Justin7
You attempted to defraud Sportsbet. You closed out your account except for the referral bonus, and attempted to open your fourth account. At that point, a clerk identified you.

Sportbet is not crooked. Sportbet has no outstanding no-pay complaints. I wasted hours of my life investigating your dispute. You contradicted yourself during the investigation (did they play from work? Or during your poker parties 3 times a week at your house, where they placed all their internet bets). You lied to OSGA, making up things that SBR never said. You lied to me when I asked you about it. You lied to Sportbet when you identified yourself on telephone as various different people. You continuously misrepresent the facts of this dispute.

You're obviously free to post what you wish, but as I warned you privately, I'll continue correcting your factual misstatements.
    --------------

People beware of this "so called" reputable book that is very dishonest and corrupt. I referred a friend to them and received a measley $40 for doing so. Friend made multiple deposits. I ended up turning my $40 referral bonus into $1200 and thet refused to pay me. They claimed that there were similarities in mine and my friends acct. They asked my friend to send them his drivers liscense and utility bill which he did promptly. My friend also verified that every single wager made was his and my friend still has all of the ** receipts for his deposits. To this day they are still stealing my $1200. People...please, dont let this happen to you...BEWARE of this shady, corrupt place!!! They will flat out STEAL your money!!! There are plenty of great books out there...Betjamaica, betphoenix, Five Dimes, etc just to name a few. Your money is not safe with sportbet.

Didnt know where to post this thread so i appologize for the duplicate post here. I am not a pro with regards to these forums.

To be fair to Sportbet, they had a reasonable argument. I handled this dispute, and it appeared that the player opened and controlled 3 accounts, collecting signup bonuses and 2 referral bonuses. The player's balance was $0 before receiving a referral bonus from a third account. Without the referral bonus (which we concluded he was not entitled to), he could not have won the $1200.

Esco...no problem. If i can save one person from depositing to this crooked site, then it was well worth my time to post. Pleanty of other good books out there.

Crazy Lou. I have already submitted a complaint and had this case worked on. Sportbet has already made the decision to not pay me. They said that they dont care if i publicly bash them. To be honest, they might be in trouble financially but that is only speculation. i am not sure what their problem is but they are definately looking for loopholes to find ways to steal peoples money.

Please look in this wednesdays and this Saturdays Daily Racing form. A friend of a friend got an article published for me warning players against this corrupt site.

Justin, I'm new to this site, so my question to you is do the moderators handle some disputes personally??? If so is there a minimum size bet??
I cant picture you being bothered with a $10 bet dispute

With all respect Justin, you are completely wrong, and i really wish you wouldnt get involved in this post. I am simply trying to help people not get ripped off like i did. There are plenty of far better, more honest books. Also, when i first talked to you, didnt you tell me something about sportbet stealing your money too. I dont remember the whole story but when i first told you of my complaint, your reaction was...Oh no, not more problems with sportbet.

Also, everyone please read this Wednesdays and next Saturdays Daily Racing form. A friend of a friend helped me get an article puiblished warning people against this corrupt outfit.

Justin, I do appreciate your help and i am sorry if i seem mad. I have never had money stolen from me, let alone $1200. I do have one question though...why dont you post your problem with sportbet on here so everyone can have more information? Also, i found another review of sportbet in this website...I think it is from a year or so ago but the poster gave sportbet an F, claiming something about him not getting paid either. Look it up...it not just me....these people are very corrupt and your money is not safe with these theives.

Size doesn't matter. I've spent countless hours toiling over $10 bonus disputes. If a book would cheat over $10, they'll cheat over $10k. It's all worth reviewing.

but Justin..i thought you said that the issue was just a month or two ago. You should make people aware of how corrupt this place is. All anyone has to do is look at the long list of complaints about this shady place. Even SBR used to have this dishonest site on their blacklist. Many many many complaints of no-pays and slow pays...

    People...please BEWARE!!!

Thanks for that link Mudcat. Wow i cant believe how many people know how shady this book is from reading all those posts. I guess i was playing with the wrong book. It is amazing to me that they are not graded as an 'F'. I guess money can buy good grades...Wish i would have known that in high school and college. And Santo..i wasnt trying to defraud anyone. I sent them a referral, got paid $40 bonus for referred person's first deposit. I built that $40 up to $1200, and now they wont pay. My friend kept depositing and they kept soaking up those deposits like a sponge without any complaints

PEOPLE>>>PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT PLACE!!! DONT SAY YOU WERENT WARNED

Here are just a couple of the many posts from other people about how ridiculous and shady sportbet is. I got these from Justins thread about his problem about not getting paid.

"Sportbet is a very unsafe book. I would advise anyone playing there to get out quick."

"sportbet has long been known to be a shady book - you should know better"

"Jake the lying "snake". Sportbet is a very shady sportsbook. Many threads about these crooks in years past"

"Sportbet has been on a downhill slide for awhile now. As with many books, waiting several weeks for a payout is not unusual. Many books - including Sportbet and GamblersPalace - have shown they would rather shamelessly stall with any excuse they can drum up, and make themselves look like complete weasels, rather than just say the truth, "We are slow-paying right now."

"These guys were shady in the best of times (2006-2007). Obviously, they are caring less and less about their rep at SBR, which I'm quite certain used to be a fairly high priority for this joint."

WHAT MORE EVIDENCE DO PEOPLE NEED!!!

I would advise that if you are sending money to gamble with and hopefully cashout someday to go elsewhere...betjamaica, betphoenix, thegreek, five dimes, legendz, etc.

On the other hand, if you are looking to make a charitalbe donation, there are alot more worthwhile charities in this country to donate to rather than give it to the grubby hands of sportbets management, Mo, and all the others corrupt people over there.

    Thanks for the offer though!!!

I have been reading some more posts about the corrupt SPORTBET. These are not my posts but merely posts that i have copied from other threads and pasted here. They are all from this year (last 4+ months). Why would any sane person deposit with these crooks???

"stay away from them, was going to deposit by ewallet on saturday, emailed them about their ewallet limits, they locked my account and wrote back the following: you are not entitled to deposit by ewallet, you can only bet $250 per game,no horse betting, payouts and deposits by ** or ** only,no bonuses, what really pissed me off is them saying i am not entitled to use ewallet, like they are doing me some kind of favor,**** them, never been the same since slater left them"

"Sportbet and sister book GamblersPalace have been getting choppier and frankly weaselier in handling payouts in the last 6 months or so."

"It appears that they really don't give a rat's ass in terms of their repuatation here."

"I feel B grade is to high. its a small book. D is my opinion"

"How is this book rated a B. An F would be a better fit"

"It's not just the poor service, it's the shifty lying that bothers me"

"In my opinion, this book has taken a major downturn since I last played with them. they've gone completely mickey-mouse in terms of operation. Iy appears they want to be associated with the far more prevalent scum, bottom-feeder books....."

"Today I had sportbet read me out a line, I then asked to place a wager and was quoted a line a point different from the one mentioned 30 seconds earlier. I asked about this and was told that I heard the first incorrectly. They're such a hack shop."

"Heres the lowdownon sportbet. Again, I have no reson to lie. i sent them 1 dime and quickly got it to 9 dimes. During this time I was hassled daily. My limits were changed daily. I was lied to daily. When they lowered my limits too low and I still had the rollover to meet, I figured I should just get my money out. Since they have a 30 day hold, I couldnt do that. Didnt make sense to me since they were the ones who didnt want my business anymore. I was betting no more than a dime a game and just got hot. In the two weeks I was there I maybe had 5 bets for over 500$. Most bets were 250. I even called Betonline three way for the manager and proved to him that I had lost over ten grand in the last year at Betonline. They still screwed with me daily. Then it was payout time. More hassles. They promise and advertise 3 to 5 days for all payout methods. BS!!! It was terrible. I had to wait at least 10 days. And thats only becasue I got SBR involved. I cant believe this place is a B. How can you not lower their rating after all I went through?"

THIS LAST POST IS MY FAVORITE...AN ANSWER TO THE POSTERS QUESTION ON HOW SPORTBET CAN BE GRADED A "B". SIMPLE...MONEY TALKS!!!

ANOTHER WARNING FOR PEOPLE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT PLACE. IM JUST DOING MY PART TO HELP THE OTHER GAMBLERS NOT GET RIPPED OFF LIKE I DID.

sportbet is really annoying in that they're deathly scared of any type of action they perceive as "sharp", no matter how low the limit maybe. in addition, they charge you an arm and a leg to cashout.

i don't know if this thread qualifies in either category..

Thanks for the imput trix. If you did infact receive a cashout, then you are one of the lucky 15%. It does suck that they charge you an arm and a leg but its just another way to rip the gambler off. It is amazing to me that they are not graded as a D or F. Dealing with Moe, their manager is like dealing with one of the 3 stooges.

I dont think Jake is there anymore but they have the ever dishonest and corrupt Moe that runs things there now. I just hope that they donated most or all of my $1200 that they stole from me to a worth while charity rather than pocket the money themselves. I figure that at least a couple hundred was sent to SBR to keep that "B" grade in spite of mine and all of the other negative posts regarding this corrupt place. I also know that karma is a bitch and if they did pocket my money, it will come back to them.

no bluefish, i had 1 and only 1 account with them. I referred a friend to them as well as a co-worker. They each verified their own accts and verified each and every wager they made. They also each still had the ** receipts from the deposits they made. Sportbet didnt like the fact that i turned a measly $40 referral bonus into over $1200 and therefore they made up a completely ridiculous story about all 3 accts being mine because my co-worker made one of his wagers on my work computer (same ip address). They are a corrupt, dishonest outfit and i think anyone who plays there and risks their money getting stolen is a moron. Just look at all the other posts and i included in this thread. It is not just me that has been burned by these crooks. I at least hope what happened to me can save other people the time, money and aggrevation from dealing with these corrupt scumbags

Nearly all the best made from the 3 accounts were made 1. from pokerplayer22's IP address, or 2. from pokerplayer22 calling into the sportsbook.

While it's certainly not a 100% thing, I thought the sportsbook was reasonable in concluding that Pokerplayer22 was controlling the 3 accounts to "bonus hustle" - each account received a sign-up bonus, plus a referral bonus to the main account (which turned $40 into $1200). If you accept that premise, Sportbet handled this dispute fairly.
