ACBet Stole My Money! - Watchout!!

I signed up to this book some 9 days ago, deposited my £300 and fulfilled the £900 WR as required for their bonus and ended up with balance of about £480.

I duly sent ID and they VERIFIED my account and approved withdrawals, then I requested the bonus and all hell broke loose.

My account was suddenly "randomly" selected for security checks and they requested all ID under the sun (Utility Bills GAS, Elec, Internet, ID, CC bill) ALL of which I provided. Next thing after waiting 5 days with no response I queried only to be told my account was being investigated since many users had same IP address.

I only have one account here and my internet is private so dunno how they worked that one out.

Today (10 days later) they closed my account, voided all my winnings and stole £200 from my money (as punitive fees etc) and paid the rest, claiming they had proof of abuse.

What abuse? betting and winning? I'm really peeved at this theft by ACBet, I wil be making a complaint.

Wanted to warn you guys to tread carefully, they can accuse innocent punters and steal their money it seems.

A representative from ACBet made a couple of posts here under the username "Acbet_F" (that might turn out to be quite an apt handle) when there was initial confusion over their bonus terms. It might be worth sending her a PM before submitting your complaint.

Maybe its just me but I wouldn't be inclined to post up there. They are a new shop offering reduced juice lines and an overly generous initial bonus offer. They don't advertise on comparison sites but have been mentioned on sites like MSE. As such their client base ATM is likely to be close to 100% bonus whores.

What's annoying is that their website is very flaky at best, very slow, intermittently just logs you out and I've seen posts from other people on here complaining of login issues.

How any site like that could have reliable user IP access data beats me. I guess they just make it up as they go along.

I also was asked for a lot of documents (cc statement, internet, gas bills and something else), it is most documentation I was asked ever. I sent everything I was able to and they verified my account, now I am waiting for bonus. Because of very generous bonus offer they should be attacked by a lot of bonus abusers imho.

Fair enough, but to accuse me of abuse without offering proof even after I had sent ALL requested documents is tantamount to fraudulent behaviour.

If other so-called users had same IP as me (which I think is a load of bull) surely they would have verified those providing valid docs and seen that their systems may actually be wrong? but no, they just accuse innocent people and take their money.

What's to stop them accusing anyone of this?

And the point of bonus abuse - all bets were made with my own money! I never even got the bonus, so how is it abuse? poppyco_ck!

As I can see, it's better to live in a country that is on the no-bonus list. Before I made my 1st withdrawal, I was asked just for ID and an utility bill.
They really require gas bills? Or one of electricity/ gas? Even the later option is ridiculous.

Ridiculous indeed but that's what they requested - ALL five: ID, Gas, Elec, Internet & Ccard
I provided ALL and still got wrongly accused of abuse and my money docked!

Since ACBet is not rated here, you may try the bettingadvice forum for help, as the book is advertiser there.

I hope they liaise with SBR but a book that is showing signs of going rogue so early seems likely to be uncooperative.

I again suggest anyone thinking of/or already in here to be really careful.

Dunno if BettingAdvice could do anything more, worth a shot though.
The Gambling Commission is in Curacao (Netherland-Antilles), seem useless as they discourage complaints with the process detailed on their website.

Every single time a book is getting mass whored by the MSE gang (Comeon.com, Tipico.com multi accounting cases etc) these threads by newly registered users pop up here. Not doubting OP, he might very well be telling the truth, just saying.

The people behind ACbet have a good record, I highly doubt they have gone rogue. Will be interesting to see if they are gonna cooperate with SBR.

I was wondering if I give ACBet a chance, but now I will wait until this situation is cleared. I know that it is necessary to protect themselves from bonus abuse, that's why I would prefer higher rollover requirements, especially at books with low juice. Bonus abusing is getting more and more a problem for the regular players. But the whole bonus rules at ACBet are strange. You lose your deposited money, then you can't get the bonus. What a strange rule. High bonus, low rollover, low juice, they should have known what's happening with the MSE players. But this shouldn't be a reason to refuse payouts.

I had some problems with verification like I wrote before, but once verified everything went very well. I made more bets than needed for bonus (I just was making my daily bets, their odds are very good, very often top odds in all asians), got bonus, made more bets and requested withdrawal to neteller account and received it in less than hour. So in conclusion I think it is very serious asian sportsbook with big ambitions, would be great if they would be in odds comparison sites.

Multi accounting might be the reason why they were asked for so many bills.

I may have created an account on SBR newly just to post, but believe me I am not lying.

I feel I've been unjustly labelled and persecuted by this company because they may truly have been swarmed by bonus hunters and multiple account cheats, but that doesn't justify cheating the innocent out of their hard earned cash.

I sincerely hope SBR may hold some sway here and vindicate me. Those who may be smugly hinting about me being a gnomer, you better wish you don't experience this horrendous treatment from this or any other bookie, otherwise you'll soon feel what I'm going through.

It's now becoming quite rampant for bookies to use this "same IP" excuse/accusation to dock peoples money and close accounts, I'm sure the techno whizzes here can confirm it's not an exact science.

Time will tell! Thx to all who have posted very useful suggestions.

I wouldn't trust any bookie 100%, not unless I own the company (let's hope you don't regret ur trust)

Not that it's of any relevance to why they stole my money, but I completed it in about 6 days and was considering using them instead of Pinnacle and then this (not anymore sadly). Only accessed the site from my private home network on all those days.

My IP has always been static AFAIK. Some people on other forums have hinted that once you connect the Internet Service Provider may use dynamic IP's, dunno if this is the case with my ISP.

Herein lies the problem, if most ISP's are doing this then no one is safe from any bookie suddenly accusing an innocent punter of abuse without any real proof.

The worrying norm nowadays with some bookies is...if your bonus offer is being flooded to recoup your cash just do following:.....if in doubt (even without concrete or any definitive proof) accuse of fraud, close account and dock money. Santa Maria

here is answer of Asianconnect, i hope they dont mind to be quoted:

We are told that all this complaints are make by bonus hunters/abusers. In general, if you do not try to cheat the company, there will be no void bets, not blocked accounts.

The people managing acbet are independent of Asianconnect . Asianconnect is one of the partners in this investment. We come up with the money for this, hence the withdrawal is very fast. This project run by an European.

Absolute nonsense and they know it! Guess that's why Asianconnect is trying to distance itself from ACbet. ALL these complaints?, guess many others have been duped too.

I'm still waiting for an explanation of how you can "cheat" on a bonus which is only given after you have bet with your own money (using one account).

Visited that MSE site and some of them have began to experience similar issues, I think I've come to realise my money is lost, these folks can simply take your money and give a flimsy excuse.

Good luck to anyone crazy enough to put their cash in here

SBR have now taken up the case, I hope they can press ACbet into doing the right thing ie: admitting they made a mistake, re-opening my account and refunding me my money.

From ACbet's initial response it looks doubtful they will play ball, any reputable bookie will use this kind of test case to prove themselves, but time will tell - keep ya posted
