    Lock in plays

    Lazio pk + Spurs -0.5 + Swansea -0.5 parlay @ 2.42

Lazio are coming to this game without a win in 5 games. Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic said he is going to field his best team. I believe he will, considering he wants a win just to boost the team confidence.

Lazio too have a pretty decent away record in Europa League, losing only once in the last 8 away games. In this stretch, they also managed to beat the minnows like Mura 05 and Maribor while also holding teams like Spurs and Monchengladbach to draws. I will consider Apollon as a minnow team.

Tottenham could seal qualification today if they win and the other group game ends in a draw. Townsend, Paulinho and Walker will all be rested. Lamela, Dembele and Naughton the likely replacements. AVB is a coach who takes the Europa league quite seriously, as seen in his Porto days. Lloris pretty much played in all EL games. I will expect them to win and seal qualification asap.

Lastly, about Swansea. Laudrup has said that he wants to win this game at home so that they don't need to go to tough places like Russia and Switzerland to get a result. Kuban have been struggling in recent times but they just hired former BATE coach Goncharenko but I doubt he can do wonders in just a few days.

Riding the Man Utd train for the last time. Even though with a new manager, Stoke still struggle offensively. If they are going to score, it will probably be a set piece, pretty Tony Pulis style. Man Utd(hopefully Kagawa plays) should really thrash Stoke if they played like how they did against Real Sociedad.

My beloved Spurs got thrashed 3-0 last time they played at home. 1 point in 2 consecutive home games is really not good enough for a CL spot chasing team. With Soldado finally scoring from open play, I really expect them to win this.

Poor Juventus, 2 defeats in a row. Where did that last happened? Now they faced a struggling team in Genoa, surely they can vent their frustration of their last 2 games on this poor team, right?

    Aston Villa pk @ 2.45

Everton is playing really some good football now. I watched Villa last week, they are not that bad despite the defeat. They have a great start but really need to get some points at home.

Benteke introduction gave them more trust in attack. He should be starting today. And I guess he wants to prove he is Belgium number one striker, not Lukaku. Today will be his best chance to do it.

    Barcelona -0.5 @ 1.78

The mother of all derbies this weekend. For a quality team like Real Madrid, they have look awful at times(eg against Atletico Madrid and Levante). The loss of Ozil certainly hurt them big time. Playing a poor and no confidence striker like Benzema certainly make things worse.

While Madrid have the better records between the 2 teams in recent times but that team was managed by Mourinho. He too used a few matches to come up with a stop Barca plan. I wouldn't count on Ancelotti having them play well against Barca just yet.

The tyneside derby. For Sunderland, it's do or die for them. There is no bigger morale booster than getting a win over your arch-rivals. Gus Poyet finally got a full week to work with his team. This is also his 1st game in charge at home, I expect the new manager effect to have an impact here.

    Damn Clippers

    Milan -0.5 @ 1.8

Milan league crisis continued after a 3-2 defeat to Parma. They will be missing a couple of defenders which will make their defence worse but they will have Kaka back. He looks good and had 2 good chances to score against Parma. He should start today.

As for Lazio, they kinda of turned the corner with a 2-0 over Cagliari but that was a home game. This team is an awful away team, no wins this season so far.

I will expect the desperate Milan to eke out a 1 goal win here.

Milan have never lost at home to Lazio, I think Lazio might scrape a draw at best, but Milan should take this 2-1 or something. They really need a win!

Allegri must be sacked. This team is damn awful defensively, this is all down to the coach.

Last season, he was saved by some brilliant individual performances by SES and then Balotelli. This season no one is going to save him.

    Cardiff DNB @ 2.5

In the Tyneside derby last week, I backed underdogs Sunderland. This time, I will go with another underdog in Cardiff. Although they have played well at home but they haven't get the result they wanted. Like I mentioned last week, there is no bigger game than winning a derby game to kick-start your season. And surprisingly, despite their poor run, Cardiff are only 2 points adrift of Swansea. This is another motivational factor, win and they will move ahead of them.

    Eintracht Braunschweig

    Hannover 96 -0.5 @ 1.75

Derby time again, the Lower Saxony derby in Germany. As Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover are in different division, this will be their 1st derby in 37 games. Pretty similar to the 2 English derbies that I preview in the last 2 weeks, Hannover are also a team in a slump at the moment, no wins in 6 games. This derby could not have come at a better time for them. They really need this win to get their season back on track.

Already 8 points beside Arsenal, Man Utd simply can't afford to lose this game. Arsenal is also due to drop points any time, been a long time since they lost a game. Rooney has been Arsenal nemesis since his debut, almost scoring every time he played against them.

    Swansea -0.5

Last season star player Michu is out of this game. That isn't a bad thing imo as Bony is a more efficient striker this season for Swansea. Facing 1 of the poorer teams in the league, the 3 points at home is really a must.

    Chelsea -0.75

3 games without a win for a title contender like Chelsea is unacceptable. They may not have played well recently but they have the players who can turn it around. They don't have any worries about the CL next week, I expect full focus on them to get a win.

While West Ham have some decent results away, they just can't seem to win at home and have lost to some good teams like Everton and Man City. They have also conceded at least 3 goals to both teams. The attacking prowess of Mata, Oscar and Hazard could prove abit too much for West Ham tonight.

Both teams are on an undefeated streak at the moment. Everton unbeaten in 5 while Stoke in 3. After throwing away 3 points late in the last game against Liverpool, they will need a win against Stoke before embarking on 2 tough away fixtures. They will miss Leighton Baines but should have capable replacements like Barry.

    Fulham DNB @ 1.96 v Aston Villa

Fulham didn't play that badly against Spurs. Should have got a point if not for Hugo Lloris making some big saves. If anyone looked at their next few fixtures, this is really the MUST WIN GAME and their most realistic chance of getting a win in Dec. They are not going to beat Everton away or Man City at home. They are never good travellers so I can't see them getting a win at Norwich or Hull too.

Aston Villa recent form is decent or even good for club like them, 2 wins and 3 draws in the last 5 games. They have put in great effort in the comeback draw against WBA and the win against high-flying Southampton. I doubt they can repeat the same effort for 3 times in a row.
