This is a great question.. when it comes to eCommerce having ads are tricky.. most of the time it works like a billboard on the side of the interestate.... for example.. SBR is the landlord/owner of the BLANK billboard on the side of the interstate.. they charge a fee for any company that wants to post an advertisement on there.. It's just as simple as that. You don't have to click on it, you don't have to call, heck you don't even have to go to the place or buy anything.. but SBR still makes money from the company leasing that "billboard" until that companies lease is up... this is just one of the examples on how ads work.. but there are lots of different types of requirements depending on the contracts between companies.
