Darryl Strawberry. Should have accomplished so much more than what he did.

Boy you guys must be really old. Folks around 30 or under here has no clue who this guy is without doing a Wiki. Seems like he had Marshall Faulk like talent, but his college numbers wasn't that much better than Reggie Bushes. I'm guessing he probably would had teared the NFL up, because defensive player wasn't nearly as fast as the one's we got today back in the 80's.

If you think Dupree was a long time ago, I was going to mention Joe Don Looney. Bounced around 4 colleges, made All-America at Oklahoma, was thrown off the team the next year. Was still drafted in the 1st round. Bounced around the Nfl and wound up tending elephants in India. Google him for an interesting story.

Good one. Man he had a sweet swing. Mind as well throw Doc Gooden in there too. He had electric stuff early on before the coke caught up with both of them.

since im a hockey guy i have to go with PAVEL BURE even though hes my all time fav player and his first couple seasons he really wqas the russian rocket his legs gave out way to early in life and who knows where he wouldve been if they didnt. but thats the thing abotu the great russian players their legs give out way too early in their careers and they turn into shit aka alexi yashin, sergi federov, and the soon to be ovechkin. mark my words in 3-4 years ovechkin will no longer be an elite player its the curse of the russians

Since someone brought up female tennis players it made me think of Anna Kournikova. She is a cool chick though.. She fycked tennis and became a model and posed for playboy instead. I respect that.

Had a few good years after that then his career got derailed by yayo and shoulder problems.
My first thought. Gooden should have been a Hall of Famer.

Remember the Rocket. Most highly touted college player in 1990 from Notre Dame. Went to the CFL during his first 4 years, signing an 18 million dollar contract. He had all the tools to easily be an elite NFL receiver, had he stayed with the right team. Still managed to get back 2 back 1,000 yards season late in his career in 98 & 99, but didn't make the best of his talents early.

My Portland Trail Blazers post Oden draft. Not because were lazy, because we get injured every single ******* year. I pray on a nightly basis for just ONE season where everyone is healthy so we can win a title.

Obviously Oden would be the largest disappointment.

Here's a personal disappointment I observed firsthand, Johnny Mitchell - NY Jets 1st rounder in the 90s - TE from Nebraska.

He had a huge buzz around him draft time and during his rookie year a lot of people in the Jets organization said he was the best pure athlete ever to wear a Jets uniform.

Even though he did have a few brilliant games he didn't have much heart or attention span and was out of the league in a few years.
