Same, 4-5 depending on the day. Now they’re leaving prerecorded messages, sometimes threatening and sometimes in a different language. Every time the phone companies do something proactively the robocallers adjust. They can fix the issue but they need an incentive to make it happen.
If you’re not one of my contacts then you’ll have to leave a message and I’ll call you back. Sucks.

I seem to get them in cycles. I assume my number gets cycled back around and then I get hit with 2 to maybe 5 a day for like 3-4 days, then it stops and i might not get any for 2-3 weeks. Well i might get a rouge 1 or 2 sprinkled in, but generally they seem to come in waves for a few days and then disappear for couple weeks.
I probably have 300 variations of last 4 digits of my phone number blocked. Probably doesn't even matter, the scammers probably spoofing the spoofed number in my caller ID.
I get a lot from area codes around LA and Detroit, along with Different parts of Florida. And recently I been getting Nova Scotia, which has me puzzled, but i don't answer any calls i don't know and if they don't leave a message i definitely ain't calling back. Probably almost all never leave a message.
The ones that call from a number similar to mine, back when i would pick up to answer out of curiosity, is generally, or used to be, always some message that i qualified for a free home security system in my area and to talk to someone and get more info just say "yes."
I would never say "yes" and just end the call and block the number.

They can spoof any number they choose, even your own damn number. Recently Ive seen the support number for Apple and the social security administration number. More times than not, it’s a number very similar to mine, I think they call this neighborhood spoofing. Obviously whatever these scammers are doing is lucrative enough for them to continue with the constant robo calls. Why anyone would think it’s a good idea to purchase $35k worth of gift cards and give the numbers to someone on the phone is beyond me. How do you even buy $35k worth of gift cards?

Funny you mention them leaving messages. I don't really get many anymore but for awhile I was getting some Asians rambling on and on and continually leaving messages that I would have to delete, it was so fukking annoying. Blocking the number didn't do anything as they had literally hundreds of different ones that they used.

I know the Verizon app doesn’t work. It just says potential spam but it doesn’t block it. It’s useless to block the numbers because they have an endless supply of new numbers. I’ve heard the calls in Chinese or Mandarin are telling the people they are in trouble back in China and they need to settle up now or they’re going to prison. Apparently it has worked in my area because I saw a lady on the news the other night that fell for it. They always say how believable it is.

I get them the way lkid mentioned--absolutely bombarded for days on end then I get a reprieve for several days. I used to block numbers but like a few of you said, that doesn't do much because there are thousands upon thousands of number combos to use. Sometimes, depending on my mood, I will answer or call back a number. I was getting a bunch of calls leaving a message that my social security account had been breached, or something of the sort. I called and told them that I was very scared and asked what I needed to do and gave them a fake name an SS number. When the guy typed it up and got back on the line with me, he said: "Here's what you need to do. Go f--k yourself." I have to admit that that one threw me for a loop, but that was a month ago, and I've not received a single message from that particular scam. Still plenty of others though....

My ATT does a decent job at saying a call is potentially spam, but for most part i just see the city and state, sometimes it might give a name of the business. But for most part, i ain't expecting numbers outside my area code, so i just let it go to VM.

What sucks about the spoofing is how ATT, or any carrier, can't notice that their own numbers are being spoofed through their own systems/networks. Like how i mentioned i have probably 300 variations of numbers similar to mine blocked, but yet i don't think it matters. I think the number on screen can be spoofed separate from the number the call is originating from. If that makes sense.
Like i realize the spammers are calling over some voip or computerized system from probably another country and are able to make a number similar to mine show up on my screen. But what i don't understand is how ATT can't notice a surge in their own network of customers with a certain area code and prefix all getting calls from variations of the same area code and prefix number.

I been getting calls from numbers similar to mine for years. I generally ignore and block. About few years back, one sat or sun morning i got a call from, let's say it was 502-555-1264, and my number is 502-555-1234, well i ignore it. About 45-hour later another call, now it 502-555-1432, i ignore it. Again about 30-50 min later another from like 502-555-4331. Now ATT owns all the numbers in the 502-555(it not actually 555, but an example) that is 10,000, or maybe 9,999, that ATT owns. So then maybe 45-hour later i get another call from 502-555-2241, i answer and yell "What?!" Some sassy sounding lady on other end is all "what you mean what? you been calling me and keep hanging up and not leaving message!" Now i'm confused and i'm like "I ain't called anyone, what the hell you talking about?" She says I'm calling her and says "is ur number not 502-555-1234?" I say yes that is my number but i aint calling her. She got all huffy and was like "I don't know what you doing with the your phone but you need quit messing with peoples numbers!" And then hung up on me.
So i call ATT and try explain to them how their own numbers are being spoofed to their own customers through their network. And all i get is "Well we can give you a new number" WTF?! I don't want a new number. I've had this number since the Cingular days and all my family and friends know the number.
I even started reporting the crap through the FCC website for spoofing. I would even note in the comments how ATT numbers are spoofed through their own network and how i find it baffling that ATT can't notice a trend or pattern of their own customers numbers being spoofed into caller ID of customers with same similar numbers.
But after 5-6 months and probably 200 reports of variations of my number, i finally just quit.
    It just a worthless cause.
    I just ignore and block.

I don't know how many bullshit calls I get in a day, but it does suck. Basically if your number isn't in my list, or you don't announce that you will be calling via a strange number, your only hope is to leave a message and e even then it's about a 25% chance of getting my attention.

Yep, I get both. The bad thing is I get legitimate emails from both mixed in with the scam ones. I noticed one of the Netflix scam emails spelled Netflix wrong. I also get the scam emails from Apple too.
