Carbs are a killer. High protein diet with very minimal carbs and sugars.

Also, drink a lot of water.

Eliminate bread entirely. Very small side of rice with the protein is ok, but not much. Side of whole grain granola ok, no milk. Etc...A small amount of carbs is necessary for energy, but you really don't need much of them. You will shred weight quickly if you get rid of the carbs and sugars.

It doesn’t get any easier the older you get, either.

Try not eating from 8PM to 11AM.

If that’s too rough try 9PM to 11AM.

As mentioned, get your calories from Turkey, Fish, lean ground beef and veggies.

Snack on bananas/apples with no salt added almond butter in between meals if you get hungry.

Cardio will help but it’s mostly about what your putting in your stomach. If you do cardio, it will start to get easier mentally. Sort of habitual.

But vary your cardio. Don’t do the same thing 4 days a week. Resistance training helps burn more calories too.

    Good luck.

I’m 6’-0” 194 pounds right now. I fractured a bunch of bones a little over a month ago and I’ll be looking at losing 10 pounds when my body will let me.

It’s been 5 weeks of no working out and eating pizza and desserts. I gained 6 pounds of fat in 5 weeks.

best thing to do is add alot of potatoes with meat before bed time....maybe oatmeal another night

itll fill you up and you wont wake up to eat

whereas something like rice is easy to digest

why do you think strongman competitors eat rice and not potatoes?

THEY NEED CALORIES and rice flows through you easily

    Diet. Exercise. Sleep.

Diet: The advice to "cut carbs" is too simplistic. Processed sugar and refined carbs are what cause problems. Whole carbs like sourdough bread and brown rice are very healthy. I like Michael Pollan's advice to: "eat food, not too much, mostly plants."

    Exercise: Self explanatory.

Sleep: This one always gets left out, but the science is irrefutable . Getting 8 hours/night will help prevent weight gain.

    Just my opinion...

Burn more calories than you take in, for starters.

Once you get a little exercise going, it gets easier.

It's a matter of routine, plus you'll feel better.

It's good for all of us to pay attention to some foods we eat and get some exercise.

It becomes about commitment, or partial commitment so you don't have to commit other times; unfortunately, though, I don't think it works like that for everyone, we are all different.

    Some need to stay committed.

    Good Luck Mr. Weed.

Also, you're only 31 man, get in shape, despite what many believe, you are young and it can still be uphill for you.

Just wait until 41, it's all downhill from there.

Honestly, I envy you guys that choose when no to eat.

I have so much neck pain sometimes that I can't eat, or just won't. I've had one meal since Thursday afternoon, and no breakfast that day. Hoping to wolf down a breakfast soon.

I'm a little guy, too, so weight hasn't been an issue. But that doesn't mean I'm in good shape either.

    Still need to exercise.

Fukk that. I find eating small portions lots of times throughout day is much better. Body needs fuel. Of course if you a lazy fukk who doesn’t do much that may not be true.

How can I gain weight but lose skinny fat? Not fat but definitely have a lot of visceral fat around my abs and stomach. I’m 6’1” 155lb and work out everyday but I can’t go on Keto cause that will lose weight. Always been skinny cause of fast metabolism plus adhd (I pace a lot).

I do eat a lot of carbs but my diet is strictly whole grain / wheat everything carb related. Even burger buns.

Not as hard as you think. Eat at 730 pm. Then bed whenever. Next meal at 1130am.
