Name your top 3 movies that scared the living shit out of you as a child......

It can be any movie, even if it was before your time......

    The Exorcist (original 1973 version)
    The Shining
The Amityville Horror ("original 1979 version I think)

I remember seeing the Night of the Living Dead when I was like 5 or 6 (babysitter let me watch) and that scared the crap out of me. In addition to the movies mentioned by Pauly, I always liked Prince of Darkness, House of 1000 Corpses, and the Evil Dead series. Not that they scared me, but they were just good campy horror flicks. Night of the Comet was a good one too.

I remember late 70's, "Dawn of the Dead" - it was banned in some places because they used real cadavers. People were taking bites out of people, shocking at the time. It was filmed at a shopping mall near Pittsburgh. I had some friends who were extras.

I shit my pants as a kid watching The original Exorcist... That rattled me the most as a kid and for a while... Gave me nightmares...

Nothing since really scared me like that.. As a teen kid the first Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist were a little scary...

Emilly Rose and Blair Witch a little later on in life did get me looking away from the movie screen in the theaters.....

Today nothing scares me in film and I just laugh ...

Only two to ever bug me were The Ring, and IT. The Exorcist was odd, but was watching with some hoes so more concerned about that.

Very simple. If there's a ghost in the house, get the Fukk out.
Not only did they not get out of the house on poltergeist, they invited more white people over..

IT was an amazing movie, and as a whole I don't like the horror genre.

Exorcist right up there, even Tubular Bells was creepy.

hey Pauly.......yeah, that was a misconception and a misnomer for many years until recently when it was revealed that most of the scenes were re-enactments or fake....that was a major bummer!...I posted the whole movie on one of the horror threads a couple of years ago...it probably got taken down...I will see if I can find it again...the scene that I vividly remember and still gives me a weird boner is that orgy with that cannibalistic, satanic cult...remember when that hot hippy chick smears the blood all over her big ?!...
