When I first heard about this my gut instinct was it was someone trying to take advantage of the moment and spark some chaos. Obviously a tense scene and clearly whoever fired the shot had no intention of actually being involved in any kind of fire fight afterwards. I would imagine they were wanting something terrible to unfold but the fact it didn't is what stood out most to me.
You hear someone gets shot in the face and survives is amazing enough but watching the video of the scene afterwards the police there deserve serious commendation for not responding in way that would change this country forever.
