I had Pats -3 and won

But lost live bet under 58.5 @-500

I've just seen too much of it. It goes both ways as well. How about that great catch made to put Seattle on the 1 yard line at the end of a Superbowl against the Pats? Amazing and as Seattle looked like it was sealed, a one yard slant interception gets thrown.

I've seen so many market situations play out, with both athlete success and failure, that very little surprises or amazes me.

In Plato's Parable of the Cave, every drop and catch, regardless of how amazing or unlikely, is still just a shadow on the wall. It's tough to accept, that's why I think it's best shown by example.

In this weekend's example, I had some things right, and some wrong. Having one favorite golfer and one underdog golfer in a playoff that isn't decided until SuperBowl kickoff was the prediction I wanted the thread to see by example, making the correct bet on the SuperBowl was secondary and not even necessary. After all, the best playoff bets had already passed. I put it off but finally made the UNDER call in the thread at market close, right near game time.

Some examples may come across easier if everything bet is always right, but it's not realistic.

Some time back I opened a discussion in the thinktank regarding this.
Well, not so direct but was expected to address this subject.
Now i think i get where you stand on the issue.

even if you aren't surprised or impressed, it's just "pros being pros", when ATL was up 25, the most probable outcome at that moment was for ATL to win. can we agree on that at least?

this is basic shit we are talking about here with play calling and clock management

    1995 Atl Braves...

thats all ATL fans have been given from their sports franchises and the billions they have put into them

and they were 99.6% chance to win with 17 minutes left in the Super Bowl

you've already choked beyond belief as a team with Pats only down 8 ... thats horrible enough as it is

but you were just given one of the most amazing catches of the season , let alone the Super Bowl

from your star wide receiver to take pressure off and take your heads out of the sand

and have field goal to win it at 24 yard line with just minutes remaining and go up by 2 scores

Keep preachin' Clint!..after Julio Jones makes that sensational catch at New England's 24 yd line with 4:00 minutes left to play, there is absolutely no need to try and get cute in that situation...play old school style and pound the rock three straight times and then kick the FG and it's game over!...Pats couldn't stop the Falcons ground attack all game long but as was the case here in DC, Kyle Shanahan gets way too pass happy and it cost Atlanta the game...no and's, if's, or but's about it...complete and utter choke job by the Falcons.
