Who's stayed at Circus Circus in Vegas??

Bit of a Vegas rookie here, only been 2 times...

    So, is it complete shit?

I'm trying to book a trip to Vegas for Super Bowl weekend with a couple buddies. One just lost his job so he's concerned about if he can afford the trip. So I went online to look at cheap flight deals and hotel prices. Circus Circus price is considerably lower than the other hotels... so much lower that it's scaring me away. I'm thinking it must be a shithole? Can anyone confirm this? I don't really trust online reviews cuz I know companies hire people to give their hotels high ratings

i've stayed there peyton. it is one of the worst hotels there.

most hotels in vegas are actually not too expensive. they just want to get you to the casino.

anyway you shouldn't be spending time in your hotel. if you want to play, go from casino to casino because you will notice your luck will change based on the hotel. other than sleeping you do nothing at your hotel.

what are the prices of other places

Excaliber is like 50 a night during the week. Like goat said your hotel isnt suppose to be super luxuorious unless your trying to get laid. You dont want to say your staying at the flamingo excal tropicana or circus. You wanna be at the aria venetian or luxor.

Ya I don't care so much about being in a nice hotel. Just not one that's infested with rats and termites lol. The most important thing for me is being reasonably close to the main strip by the Bellagio, Cosmo, Planet Hollywood etc...

If you want to enjoy your trip to vegas then stay @ The Venetian. They have a nice sports bar called Legassi Stadium which is pretty much a sports bettors paradise in vegas. I own a home there and I rent it out to people, but when I used to travel a lot, with stops in vegas, I would stay at bellagio. You can't beat the quality of the rooms and room service IMO. Wynn is also very nice from what i've seen but I've never booked there before. Venetian is nice too, obviously. Don't be cheap with your trip to vegas, save up and go big HF.

don't stay at Circus Circus. It's full of kids. Yuck. It's also a taxi-cab ride to anything worth seeing on the strip. Circus Circus is the worst place to stay for 3 guys.

Stratosphere is gross, it's next to the Projects (not kidding). So... you'll find a lot of project-people gambling there. It's a step above Circus because it has no kids. I can't be really honest and tell you what the Strat is really like... because the SBR police will be on me... but, I'm sure there's reviews that will tell you (clue: it rhymes with Tigger) and those reviews are all true.

I'd recommend Imperial Palace, Harrah's, Flamingo, Bally's or for the ultra-cheap, Orleans. Imperial and Harrah's is a dump but it's smack in the middle of the action. Flamingo and Bally's is ok, but tad pricier, and it's next to Cesar, Bellagio and Planet Hollywood.

Orleans is dirt cheap, but it's off the strip, but they have a very popular shuttle that leaves every hour to go to the strip and it's free. You'll also find a boatload of degens there and there's pubs and strip clubs galore around the hotel.

    Hope that helps.

sign up on the hotel websites to get special offers. monte carlo is pretty good and it has a free shuttle to take you through the city center to the Bellagio.

Circus Circus is a dickload away from anything worthwhile, especially if you want to punt a bit... Unless you like 3+ mile walks or expensive cab rides. You COULD get a bus pass (I think it's 12 bux/day), but sheesh, it's slow up/down the Boulevard.

Excalibur is a fine suggestion, if it's 20 bux more/night, I'd take it and run, it's close to the monorail and you can easily walk to a LOT of decent places from there.

If you want a good location at a cheap price with decent rooms, it's easy harrahs first choice or flamingo ,... Harrahs is inexpensive nice enough and in a great location, flamingo is just south of it and is also nice enough inexpensive and a nice set of bars... Imperial palace is kind of a sh$& hole! Cheap as hell, but pony up another 10 bucks a night! Ballys or Paris is ok as we'll but a little more expensive! If you can sign up for a total rewards card online you can get great deals totalrewards dot con. It's a players card for harrahs entertainment, they run Caesars, harrahs flamingo, rio, planet Hollywood, imperial palace, ballys Paris I'm forgettin one or two but great room rates even if u don't really gamble much!!!! I am a local and stay on strip free at least once a month through total rewards!!! Dm me if you have any ideas about going to clubs or whet not, could probably get you a deal!!!

Super Bowl weekend the hotels jack up their prices. If you can get a good deal at circus circus I say go for it. The rooms are OK. You sleep there that's all.

Most hotels in vegas are expensive

Those days are over where they rates are cheap and food is cheap unless you stay off the strip

I say you save up and get something very nice. Kick the kid off the trip roster that isnt too rich, he shouldn't be gambling anyways. Seriously going to a shitty hotel will make the trip really horrible. Think about it, unless you are going there strictly to gamble on a consistent basis (1-2x a month) then you shouldn't be budgeting but focusing more on the fun/entertainment/lavish side of things. don't listen to all the broke jackasses in this forum. You would have a better time using that money to have a night on the town in your suburban bar area.

I don't know what your budget is, and since you're talking SB weekend, places will be full and prices will be higher. CC is the closest thing to sleeping on the street, but if you're only going to be in the room to get a couple of hours of sleep, you'll survive. Expect it to be one of the worst places you've ever stayed at, and if you get a decent room, that's a bonus.

circus circus full of kids and at the crappy north end of the strip, you will end up paying more in taxis. For a cheap place in the middle of the strip. I first recommend Bills Gambling Hall and secondly Imperial Palace.

Probably about as dumpy as Circus Circus but you are literally right in the middle of the strip. Easy access to all of the good casino's.

Just stay in the Aria 2 bedroom Penthouse sky suite. Youll never forget or regret it. I was there for the mayweather fight in September. ******* amazing. Only 1100 a night and if your going with a few buddies thats 200 a night. Pony up and dont be cheap. You dont need a club when you got that room.

2800 square feet, full bar, everything is electronic in that room.
