I disagree. You definitely can have both but it is incredibly challenging and not many people can balance it. But the best of the best pull it off.

You rarely see successful people that spend a lot of time home or watching tv either

I guess we do what makes us happy

Really because I am pretty sure every businessman takes gambles all the time. Anyone who has money has taken a calculated risk at one point.

    Intelligence
    Charistma
Good looks help, they make you like-able
    like-ability
    being a leader
    intuition
Knowing people... friends... goes back to being like-able
    creativity
    determination

If people know you will stop at nothing to get what you want they will deal with you differently. If you know you will pester, bug, fight them to the end of the earth and that YOU MEAN BUSINESS, you have power, and power leads to success.

It seems to be that equating success= money and position in life. Two things that you can not take with you. What type of parent are you? How do you treat others? Do you make another persons life better (happier) by being in it?

Success is good inter personal relationships and family.....its easy to stay away from home and dedicate yourself to work...its harder to be exposed to people that you are vulnerable to and see your flaws.....Be a light in the world...live according to your word and love others as yourself.

    BS crunchy homo ***-baya answer.

If people loved doing charity work so much then why not just do it? Most people spend more time talking about it to impress people than actually doing it.

If you want to make people's lives better than invest a faster computer, a more efficent car, or better building materials. Heck, invest a video game that people love to play. You'll make money and make other people's lives better much more than passing out soup at a soup kitchen to losers.

Ambition and a good hairpiece to cover up a fuking shiny bald head. Seems to work for a few fellow power posters here.

Being able to do what you want in life defines success. How you get there is another story.

I pity you and all the sheep like you. You need somebody else to tell you how to live your life, what's noble, what's just, what's worth fighting for and what's worth living for. People like yourself become losers, become high school teachers and encourage others to be just like yourself.

You'll piss and moan that money is the root of all evil, money is bad and then you'll bitch behind the scenes that your government should steal from the rich and give to losers like yourself.

The funny thing is crunchy losers like yourself say you love helping people, but you really don't. Crunchy losers like yourself never want to go into the ghetto and help "the poor" that you love so much. You really don't want to go anywhere near the ghetto. You want to sit in starbucks, drink your coffee, and feel like you did something but you really didn't.

You think you are so free spirited, and creative, and independent but there's a million dopes like you out there and you're all the same and follow the same script you follow. You are nothing but a joke the rest of the people laugh at.

That's of course if you even believe what you type, but many of your ilk don't. When they have the chance to take the money they all take the money.
