Decent suggestion...I would play more ring tables if this was implemented, since the majority of my lost hands come from bad beats.

That's fine if you & others don't value your time as I do, that's your right to spend your time as you choose. If you had the choice between a shovel & a snowblower to clear a foot of snow, I guess you're one of those guys who would use the shovel.

The other element you fail to take into consideration, I had more cashes/rolls to clear than anyone over the last four years. So it's my preference not to waste time & be efficient as possible, with the plethora of rolls I have to deal with.
dammit, there is no price you can put on your valuable time, time spent takin' photos of yourself with your shirt pulled up over your head exposing your flappy , time spent calling the local unemployment office, time spent eating free government cheese, time spent working your glory hole at Columbas Park near your shanty in Trenton -- not for tips -- but the sheer pleasure of it -- and the resulting time spent pulling discarded heroin needles out of your feet due to having to walk through that shithole park, time spent peering out of the cracked window blinds to see if those Latin Kings are still sitting on your stoop smoking blunts waiting for you to pay them protection money so they won't beat the shit out of you, time spent shilling for faiing online sportsbooks in an effort to get unsuspecting people to make deposits so that you can get paid the money they owe you out of the victim's funds, time spent trying to scam people on Mingle2 into paying your mortgage, time spent searching for the hubcaps of your '82 Ford Tauras that someone ripped off, time spent being a total f'n loser, etc etc etc

yep, waves' time is SO f'n valuable......

i would say it does... if people are flipping that equals people NOT playing bob. im on the weekend omaha tables so don't run the shpeel on me how " crowded " or how much action is available. sbr " being " ok with it, doesn't mean that it's attractable or appealing to others or that it isn't taking away from actual play, it is.

Because you need cashes before you can rollover, don't see any poker badges.

im getting the enjoyment of playing the points, how is that pathetic?
I already explained why I find it pathetic, it's not time efficient. Again, if you don't value your time by all means grind out your few rolls. Apparently you have nothing better to do anyway on the weekends. If you tried flipping once, you would be able to answer your own question.

some want to flip, some want to play them out... nothing wrong with that
I previously stated it's a personal choice. In my situation grinding out the huge number of cashes every year would be pathetic. Not worth my time, as I have better things to do. But I understand how someone who cashes 10 times/year may see things differently than me.

Since you, I, SBR, & some others all agree there's nothing wrong with flipping, there's still plenty of flipping complainers in this thread.

Disagree...When I"m flipping on the 5/10 table, I see plenty of people grinding at the lower stakes. Many times the ring table is full. I played ring game last Sat night, as I often do with small rolls. Now I get that ring games are less attractable/appealing without me there, but let's not be ignorant & say my flipping takes away from actual ring play. As hard as it is for you to believe, full ring games do go on without me.

    lol ...

bob... im there a lot. If people couldn't flip, they'd be forced to play. There would be more than one table going ... that's the point i thought, grow the community with the intent of playing poker and having fun in the games.. it just takes away from it, im guilty of it ...ive flipped with you when I'm bored and no ones around to play and i want to roll or whatever the reason but to be honest i think it's a hinderance to growth, not a BIG one but could make weekends more fun and challengable... people learning to play and having fun, is the better option... look at moneyshot, guy comes around...can't play omaha, but he comes back and is learning... having fun with it. Win or lose...

long run, he will play better and be more efficient rolling... i roll over triple the amount sometimes, hardly ever lose a roll... and one has more fun and wins more actually playing saving time waiting for a flipper... you can debate about it, just my opinion ...

Yeah, for the most part that's true...it's why I like this subforum best, it tends to attract a higher percentage of quality minds. Still a handful of dull ones, but better than the average in other areas I think.

They frequently give evidence supporting the same conclusions (almost always Donk's), bobbo just somehow manages to draw the wrong conclusions from the facts. For example, they both agree that bobbo wants no piece of Donk or DS in a skill-based poker challenge of even small size; that bobbo didn't attend the bash for financial reasons; that stiffs should be treated harshly, etc. When you look at it that way, they actually agree on more than they disagree I think

The hazard of bigger rollover requirements is that it's worse for those who are bad at ring games AND who are unwilling to admit it/become better. That only describes a small number of people, but I can understand why they'd be against anything that cuts into their winnings. Even some of those undoubtedly realize that the way it is now isn't how SBR intends it, and I imagine it's only a couple who would be truly upset if changes made their freebies unattainable...and even that has more to do with the blow to their ego from being proven even more conclusively that they're not as good as they like to pretend. That's no reason not to make the changes though; by definition, those handful are not the people you want around anyways, draining the resources with nothing in return.

well, here we have agreement, to whoever said he didn't think wussywaves and I ever agree.....

knowing that retarded fuk head is sitting there in his shanty with his f'n shirt pulled up over his head with his f'n "rhino horn" firmly attached to his f'n greazy head makes playing with him "less attractive/appealing"......

on the flip side, and the silver lining with having to put up with his brief appearance in any ring game (he usually loses his chips within the first ten hands or so) is that he's one of the easiest reads and easiest players to control/run over at the table......

he once stuck his horn into a saturday omaha game and lasted all of three hands, with his final hand being the one the idiot shipped all of his rolloever to me with some dumbass call......

never discount the virtues of slappin' your balls on the left shift key post-flop when you see you are way behind.....

Like Sex Panther by Odeon, fifty percent of the time, it works every time!

and in the bad beat column, i'm still wayyyyyy behind..... so I'll complain until that levels out......

ps.... on sbr, I knew I was good with a .20 percent dog post flop......

that's right.... 99.8 percent chance he wins that hand.....

my balls may be a bit sore from all the left-shiftkey schwappin' they went through, but it was worth it..... (I won't be giving my wife the good ol "reach back and grab some sack!!!!" command this evening....

Those of you who act superior about buying in full for 3/6 points games and playing for hours... really shouldn't. If it's fun for you then great, but acting like you're a badass and berating others when you're playing "high stakes" games for points is kind of pathetic. Just my opinion

Guy sits there and criticizes other people's play, then wins a coin flip for someone's whole stack and "needles them" but flips out if someone tries to buy in for an amount he doesn't like. I go in there trying to have a good time and joke around with everyone and he has to act like everyone in there is subject to his approval. I seriously doubt he plays much live because he would have too many broken bones to click a mouse

"That was a terrible shove", "What a terrible call"...who does that?
