Sorry guys long time no update

I know I have not been updating the thread too much. I took out some funds to pay/buy a few things. Anyway, my funds have kind of been all over the place and I could have updated, but it would have been messy. I was constantly withdrawing/depositing every few days as I wanted to use the funds for certain items and I kept moving money around poker sites. It has been a pretty decent month. I played 1 tournament and cashed for 3rd, I also made a good amount playing some 10NL-20NL. My goal for this month now is to play some 50NL.

    So what now?

    Poker

Taking money out definitely hindered my progress to reach my goal. That is fine, I used some money to pay rent/loan to people close to me/and buy the sickest overcoat ever (Boss Status). Therefore, I have about €350 in credit I will be allowed to play with. Playing on credit will definitely make this thread interesting lol. I am about 10 hours of play away from a €150 cash bonus which will boost my roll to around €500. At the moment, the 20NL games are my bread and butter games. Over this past month I had a 8bb/100 winrate and an 11EVbb/100 winrate. These are games I have no problem beating. Yes variance can take its toll, but these are games I feel very confident in and I don't think variance will impact me too much as if I played in harder games. Therefore, any amount over €400 can be used for higher stakes. I'll be shot taking 50NL aggressively and I think I can handle my own with table selection. Once I get this cash bonus I'll be able to shot take, so we're almost there. Now I am hoping over this month to transition to 20NL fast fold games. These games would yield a much higher € hourly return. I am a bit worse in these games and they are higher variance so I won't touch them until I can increase my bankroll a bit. I have a pretty insane RB deal, although there are a lot of nitty regs on the site.

I've been reading a lot of poker books and watching videos so my play has definitely improved. A lot of poker definitely seems to come down to the mental side of things. As I increase my bankroll I'll allocate resources towards coaching/learning products.

The goal for poker is to make €1,000 this month. From there my goal will be to make €2,000 in December, so €3,000 before the end of the year is the target. At that point I'll be able to play 100NL and starting making some cash.

    Sports

As far as sports go I will be starting with a $97 bankroll. I only have betpoints at the moment, but I can purchase sportsbook cash so every 15 points=$1 for me. I'll calculate everything that way. I've got a few system plays in place whenever they may come up so I am confident I'll turn this into $500 soon enough.

The goal for sports is to have a BR of $500 my the end of the year.

I will begin posting hands and write-ups for games in this thread. Feel free to comment and post your picks/hands/progressions/thoughts as well.

Sweep- Thanks man I appreciate it!

So guys I've only played about 30 minutes of some 10NL and I ran at about 13bb/100. Not bad not bad. I've got a big exam tomorrow morning so I don't know if I will be touching any poker until it's finished. But the grind will officially start tomorrow with some 20NL. I'll be posting some hands in this thread and graphs as well. I think the best way to track myself is to just keep track of the profits I'm making from poker instead of adding my "bankroll" as well. I use work money/credit/etc. to play games some time so it would be tough to keep track, plus I enjoy adding funds to my bankroll for a short time in order to take shots and then withdraw those back.

Tonight we get started with some sports!

    Indians +107

It's tough for teams to comeback and win three games in a row. Especially without home field advantage for the last game. Kluber is the ACE and their bullpen should be ready to go. I don't think Chapman should have played yesterday, and Hendricks is better at home than away. The home team in the world series has an insane win percentage going back twenty or so years. I'm from Chicago so I will root for the Cubs, but I think the value is on Cleveland tonight.

    Celtics -2.5

The Celtics lost to the Bulls earlier this season and now have a good few days off to rest. I think the Bulls are highly overrated and the Celtics are the better team.

    Mavericks +4

The Jazz are on a B2B of a 3 games in 4 days after coming off a huge very unlikely win against the Spurs. The Mavs are rested and are looking for their first win of the season.

    Poker Profit: €25

Well guys poker has gone alright. I'm up around €25 just playing today. I'll upload a graph probably tomorrow or else within the next few days. I'm running at about 8bb/100 (3evbb/100) right now. The goal is to make at least €200 each week and then invest €60 into coaching. I've got a poker coach lined up who beats 100NL zoom for 5bb/100 4 tabling. I've been listening and reading a lot about becoming your own boss and making it big. If you want to get somewhere, you'll get there 10x faster if you find someone to show you how. Most of us are too lazy or not willing enough to find that mentor. I know it's only poker, but this works for all aspects of life. Anyway, if I make €1000 this month in poker, €320 will be taken out for one coaching session a week.

The dream is real here guys, I'm doing everything I can to make it. Follow along if you want to join in.

    Sports BR: $89.90

I went 2-1 last night. I'm glad the Cubs won though. I'm from the Chi and I've also got a longshot parlay to win 30k that had the cubs as world series winners. Tonight I've got a few games.

    Bucs +4

Going back over the past Thursday NFL games the home team/home dog as covered most of them. Falcons had a wild last game and the public is all over them.

    Bucs-Falcons Under 50.5

Going over the past TNF games, the games seem to go under most of the time. Let's see how this works out here. Both teams had high scoring games this past week.

    Timberwolves -3.5

Better team here with a very good coach. I think the Wolves are a very underrated team.

Read some of your posts good luck, I took up the poker journey about a year and a half ago. Unfortunately I'm stuck playing on Ignition and Betonline...Sucks huge. I wish I had the markets you had access too. I do well I just have been staying at 25nl...I'll run up a few hundred dollars profit and withdraw every time and start over again at 5nl lol. I think this time though I'm going to keep it on and actually try taking some shots at 50nl. The games on Ignition from what I've seen I don't see much of a difference between 25nl and 50nl. Also as far as zoom poker goes It's a decent idea depending on the player pool but in my experience it's a lot easier to make money on the regular tables bum hunting. Seems like too many good TAGs play zoom.

There's ususlly not that much difference between 25 & 50nl. You should definitely take a shot

jmunzz- haha yea definitely save that roll if you want to make some serious cash one day. From what I've been told/seen, ignition poker (if anything like bovada) is supposedly pretty damn soft. I'm sure zone poker on ignition is tough because you can't use a HUD though. Most of the crushers in today's game play fast poker. It's a much more fun variation of poker, so a bunch of fish do play it. Also after a certain amount of time you'll have a decent idea of somebody's stats. Think of it:

    100NL

    WR: 10bb/100 @350 hands= $35/hour

    RB: 7bb/100 @350 hands @30%=$7.35/hour

    Total: $42.35

    100NL fast

    WR: 3bb/100 winrate @1000 hands= $30/hour

    RB: 7bb/100 @1000 hands @30%=$21/hour

    Total: $51/hour

*Don't forget rake races, rake promotions which can yield an extra $2k+ each month.

As you can see fast poker can definitely be very beneficial. Log in, get seated right away. Play more GTO. As well, I think the difference between regular tables and zoom is more like 5bb/100 than 7bb/100.

0-3 yesterday. We'll turn this around.

    Spurs -3.5

    Revenge situation. Top play here.

    Teaser- Bulls -2.5, Raptors -3.5

Drose and Noah return to the CHI. Good luck. Bulls are playing amazing as of late, while the Knicks have been struggling. "All star" teams like the knicks usually take some time to gel together.

    *Early play

    NCAAF Memphis -3

Just wanted to say, I enjoy following your thread and good luck! I've just started getting into online poker myself. I play a little on 5dimes but mostly have been doing SBR tournaments trying to work on my game. I'm also mid-high stakes DFS player, and a small time sports degen. Just wanted to say good luck, and keep grinding as long as you're having fun.

Titan- Thanks man I appreciate it! 5dimes is not bad, I don't personally like the software much. Try playing ignition poker if you can, from what I hear it's pretty soft. Are you a tournament or cash player? I wish I could play DFS, I'm out of the country at the moment. I feel like DFS makes you a bettor sports bettor.

    [IMG][/IMG]

As you can see a little swingy, but the games are good. I need to play a little more focused and try to add a few more tables if possible. I'm about 4 hours away from receiving my €150 cash bonus which will help.

    A few plays today

    Kansas St. -3

OK St. off a big win now playing on the road against a divisional opponent. Let down spot.

    Arkansas +3.5

Florida are in the same situation against Arkansas here.

    *Play from yesterday- Memphis -3

I've got work in a bit, but if I see Spurs at -4 I'll have to take them.

Sorry guys I wasn't able to update my plays today for NFL. I'm on that poker grind at the moment. Good news to come for tomorrow though. Anyway I basically broke even at 4-4. Two plays for tonight.

    NFL Raiders pk

Going back over the season almost all Sunday night winners were home teams, and dogs have been very good ATS on Sunday nights as well. This means Oakland at home (opened a dog) is a good play. Revenge game here for them as well.

    NBA Suns +4

Lakers are coming off their Super Bowl win of the season here after destroying the Warriors. Look for a letdown spot here.

    Poker:

So I'm doing pretty well so far. The good news is that I just unlocked the €150 cash bonus so I just need to play a bit to unleash it, but it will be a very good boost to my bankroll. From what I remember I think it will take about 20 hours of play to unleash the entire bonus. So hopefully by this time next week I'll be sitting on at least €350 before profits and hopefully €500 with profits. Anyway, we're moving closer to a 50NL shot where we can actually make some good money.

    Monthly Progress: €200/€1000

    Sports:

DGG was kind enough to give me a loan so I am not able to get $100 in 5dimes cash. Once I receive this we can officially begin to track the bankroll. Over the weekend I went 6-6 which is alright I guess. Sometimes it's hard for me to get plays in on time since I'm busy a decent amount of the time and a lot of times I wait right before kickoff to try and get the best line.

Yeah, I actually signed up for ACR this weekend, but I'll try ignition. Haven't had much time to play poker this weekend, look forward to getting back into it this week. Also I would recommend DFS to anyone who likes to bet on games, because most of the research you do transfers over. It has made me a much better bettor, since I use FantasyLabs.com's models, projections, and tools. All in all I put in probably 16-20 hours per week for each NFL slate, which has helped me out a lot betting. I feel like I know the ins and outs of the individual player matchups. Obviously there is variance, and sometimes you're just dead wrong, but I'm surprised I don't see more people on SBR playing DFS. Anyway thanks for the tip about Ignition, good luck!

Titan- Yea ACR is good. I really like their software, and they do offer rakeback. Now most of the pros I know in the states will mainly play ignition because it's a little softer, but definitely use both. I've heard of fantasylabs and I really want to subscribe, I've just been trying to put everything really into poker at the moment. But player matchups are really the most important aspect of capping a game if you think about it. I'll definitely start doing more capping with fantasy projections.

I've been doing some calculations and I definitely need to get over to fast poker as soon as possible. There is just so much more money to be made in that variant, especially thru rakeback. There is a lot more variance so I'll have to wait until the end of the week really.

Well guys I've started playing on other sites and I've started some fast poker as well. It's been very swingy. I ran pretty hot to start out, but I cooled down pretty bad at the end. So now I'm at a BR of €185. Not very good at all. My poker game has been decent, and I really just think I'm running bad at the moment. I'm beating the speed games (which are the hardest) for 3evbb/100, while I'm losing at -1evbb/100 at my bread and butter regular cash tables at 20NL. Strange. That's variance though. Over this past month I'm currently running at 2.9bb/100 (0.15evbb/100) across all sites @20NL which is good. So I have been profitable, and this is not including the RB I've earned. It is only a small sample size, so who knows how it is going to go. I'm pretty confident I'll back to beating these games at a decent rate. I've also got a €120 cash bonus I'm in the middle of clearing so that helps a lot.

As far as sports go, I'm more of a spot bettor. So I'm just going to wait until I see a play I like and then play it. So it could definitely be a while before any plays come in.

    Poker:

So poker has been hit and miss lately. Although things are starting to come around, I just need to get some decent volume in which has been tough due to school obligations. I've got around €90 to unlock from bonuses. After that I'm moving my funds and playing some iPoker speed tables. I really do think I'll get to €1,000 by the end of the month.

    €276/1000

    Sports:

We went up $80 over the weekend. Very good result and we'll keep this momentum going. I'm going to be playing the under on the Bengals-Giants tonight, but I'm waiting to get a good line out of it. I don't know if I'll be able to post it here when I do get it.

So in just over a few days the sports BR has doubled! $200 currently sitting at 5dimes. Getting closer to the goal of $500 by the end of the year. I expect I can at least get another $100 thru sportsbook cash by then as well, so I'll really need about $200 more to complete my goal. I'm usually betting around $20 a game which has been a very aggressive approach. I'll continue betting this amount, but I'll be a bit more conservative as my bankroll increases. I've got an exam this Wednesday evening, but afterwards the grind to €1000 continues. I'm going to play most of my time over on the 20 NL iPoker speed tables. My goal is to post a 5bb/100 winrate while 3-4 tabling to get in ~1000 hands an hour. After doing some calculations, if I hit this goal I will have around €3.5k to go straight into some 100NL to start the new year. If I post a 0bb/100 winrate, then I should have around €2.5k thru RB to start the new year. This is assuming I can get in around ~120 hours.

    Leans:

    NCAAM Michigan St. (vs Kentucky)

Are Mich St. really going to start 0-2? Even if they do they only have to cover around 7-8 points. Kentucky haven't scored much from the perimeter so far this year and Izzo is going to pack it in. Mich St. are more experienced and Kentucky will probably be starting 4 freshman at Madison Square Garden.

    NCAAF UCLA (vs USC)

Huge letdown spot against UCLA here after USC took down one of the best teams in college football.

    NFL Panthers

Wow did they blow the game against the Chiefs. Unfortunately, the Saints blew their game as well, otherwise this would be an extremely confident game. But we've got the last place Panthers going up against a divisional rival seeking revenge for a game they lost earlier this year to away. I mean if allowing 17 points in the 4th quarter to lose a game doesn't show the Panthers were looking ahead then I don't know what does.

    Buccaneers

Fade the Chiefs on their insane comeback victory.

    Eagles

Seahawks just played a very emotional game against the Patriots. Let down spot here.

    Teaser- Giants/Steelers

The Bears are a turnover machine and they just lost their best WR. Steelers just lost a big game and there's no way they can't cover -3 against the Browns.

Hey rudy no problem man say what you feel. I agree most people will say that they are on a downswing when in reality they were just running about EV for a while and are now coming down. I wouldn't say I'm part of that group though. Anyway I've been using an aggressive strategy and when I got to a certain point I cashed out a bit and then I went on a downswing. It happens to everyone and I'll be on the upswing soon enough. Any what do you mean you invest in small stakes? As in you stake?

So the weekend went alright. I think I broke even, but I did manage to win a few points in BTP. Anyway, my 5dimes cash was at $170. I also had about €115 in my poker account and I ended up running that up to €175 over the weekend. Yesterday I had to withdraw €145 of that poker money and I currently have a pending payout of $170 from 5dimes. My brother is coming into town and I want to treat him to some cool things. He's only a freshman in college so I don't want him spending his money. Starting today I then took the $30 I left behind in 888 and so far I've grinded it up to $70. My winrate over at their 10nl snap tables is currently 10.5bb/100 over 4.5k hands. Small sample and winrate should drop, but I do have a 9evbb/100.

Anyway, what I'm going to do is hopefully grind this money up as much as I can and then withdraw at the end of the week and move my funds over to Bwin. Over there I'll be getting a pretty insane RB deal and I'll be able to get a lot more hands in per hour.

Fidel was nice enough to give me a loan over here so I've got around 3,400 points and about 700 in free plays. Hopefully the Black Friday deals are decent enough so that I can take advantage of them.

So the month is coming close to an end now. I'll have to officially list my bankroll for the month of December, but it should be ~$200 sports, and $400 poker. I'll start by playing some 25NL fast foward at Bwin Poker. Bankroll strategy a must though at these formats. So if the bankroll hits under $200 I'll have to play 10NL. A $200 (8 BI) cushion with a total of 16 BIs at that stake is pretty decent to start with. Before winrates are even calculated I should be making around $9/hour. With a decent winrate this could be $15 hourly. The goal is 20 hours weekly. I'm heading back to the U.S. for the holidays so it would be nice to bring a little cash over with me, and hopefully transfer some on to Ignition. The end goal for the month in regards to poker is $1,000. Now some funds will be taken out for various reasons as the holidays are upon us, but I do get to play more hours near Christmas time on the supposedly very soft ignition poker.

The sports roll is currently at $200. I have a few plays tonight that I will post later on. I'm going to be aggressive with this roll so that I can try and turn it into a decent amount of money before the holidays begin. I also have a x5 rollover I must reach, so $1000 needs to be bet in total.

    So far...

    Jazz +2

Divisional rivalry against a more defensive team in the Jazz. I fully expect them to bring in tonight.

    Pistons +2.5

Hornets on 4 games in 5 days. I doubt they will bring energy, and even if they do there is always the 4th quarter for the Pistons to do some work on a tired team.

    Liverpool -1.5 vs Leeds

The subs will try to prove something tonight. Leeds have not performed too well when away.

    Pelicans -6

Fishiest line of the night. Pelicans lost big time to the Lakers earlier in the season, and now they are -6? I think this line is telling us something.

So Yesterday went very well! After the liverpool game hit I decided to put an extra unit on the Pistons...The profit for the night was $100! So sports bankroll now sits at $300 and I should have my poker bankroll ready to go for tomorrow; Friday at the latest. Anyway, I'm going to continue trying to rollover and increase my bankroll. I can be a little more aggressive with my bankroll now that we went on a nice little win streak! Lot's of plays today...

    Louisville -6

    Saint Mary's -3.5

Ohio St. team total over 53.5

    Indiana +5

    Pacers +7.5

    Teaser- Bulls -5, Spurs -4

    Thanks BeerDog! I appreciate it

So we won 2 units last night putting us at +6 units over the past 2 days. A pretty good run. Remember I'm playing games I wouldn't normally just so I can rollover my 5dimes balance before the Holidays begin. I think I have around $800 to rollover which is about 40 bets at $20 a piece. I'll probably be leaving to go back to the U.S. around the 20th and 5dimes give out a free cashout for me on Tuesday so I've probably got about 10 days to complete this rollover. At the moment I am trying to receive my first ever bitcoin payout, and if that goes well I will be able to leave these funds in 5D and then just transfer them to Ignition Poker or take them out at an bitcoin ATM in the U.S. I am trying to roll this over quickly so luckily we are up a few units because variance will hit at some point.

I took a good few games last night...

    NCAAF

    Wisconsin -2.5

    Oklahoma St. +12

    Florida +24

    Clemson -10

    Temple +3

    NFL

    Saints -6

    Cardinals -3

    NBA

    Jazz/Heat Under 189

    Rockets +10

    Clippers +5

I'm expecting some cash to come in today which will allow me to start grinding some 25NL poker. Receiving it today is pretty important to me, so hopefully that comes thru.

    Thanks Steve must appreciated

So I took a few plays earlier...

    Magic -2

Tiger Woods to finish over 15.5 position

    S. Bradford pass completions over 24.5

*I will also be taking the Bucks later on most likely

So I started some 25NL fast poker. I went up a BI and then proceeded to end my day down 2.5 BIs. I've allocated around $400 to poker so that leaves me $335 left to play with. So not the greatest start, but I'm sure things will turn around. I'll go analyze my play and see what mistakes I made and how much it cost me. Also, 5dimes can no longer give me my bitcoin payout for some technicality, so I currently have $418 sitting in my account now with around $530 to roll over. With the games I currently have placed I'll only have around $300 left to rollover come Monday. This is way ahead schedule of course. Hopefully the bankroll increase!

Well guys I fell asleep early last night and I wasn't able to take the Nets bet. This is a downside of being in Europe and trying to get the best line. Even though it worked out last night, it is really annoying in the long run. Anyway, I ended up about +1 units last night. So far I'm doing pretty well, and I'm rolling over my cash in 5D. Balance stands at $435.60 with A LOT MORE games to come. Obviously I know eventually I will hit a bad streak, especially with the amount of games I'm playing, but as long as the bankroll is over $200 I'm honesty content. I forgot to post the Tiger Woods bet in this thread, I posted it in my other thread on 2+2, but I forgot to here probably because I always post in SBR first.

    Plays incoming

    Nuggets ATS

The Rockets just won an emotional game against the Warriors who had knocked them out of the playoffs last year. The game went to 2OT and the players are going to be very tired, especially because they'll be playing 3 games in 4 nights tonight against the Nuggets. The Rockets now need to go travel to the Nugget arena which is not the easiest place to get to, and go play in high altitude to end their 5 game road trip. Last year the Nuggets beat the Rockets twice at home. I'm considering going bigger than usual on this play here as I think there is a lot of value to be had, it also rolls over my cash quicker.

    Bulls ATS

This play really depends on the line I can get. However, I think the line will be at worst Cavs -4 and most likely higher. This isn't a game I love mainly because the Cavs have lost 2 in a row, but for the right line they can be a standard play. A bigger bet I'm willing to make is on the Raptors who play the Cavs their next game after the Bulls, especially after losing by 4 and 3 points this year. They want so badly to beat the Cavs after getting knocked out last year.

Another big spot to come is going to be the Clippers vs Warriors next week. I'll be big on the Clips for that game.

    Some explanations for games taken...

    Temple +3

Apparently Navy winning messes up the scheduling for the bowl games. If there is any game that is going to be rigged I would bet it would be this game. Even if all the money in on Temple, the NCAAF committee doesn't want teams waiting around and only giving them a weeks notice or such.

    Oklahoma St +12

Oklahoma have not been great this year and this teams are ranked #9 and #10. Both teams are overrated. Not my favorite pick though.

    Florida +24

SEC championship and Florida have a very tough defense. Last year Florida lost by 14 in the title game without a QB. Alabama have to score around a touchdown more than Florida each quarter to cover this spread. Sure Alabama could wipe Florida clean, but they have at National Championship to contend for which means most likely 2 more games after this. That's a lot of football games and I don't expect Alabama run this score up.

ALRIGHT BOYS TIME TO LAY OUR D*CKS ON THE TABLE AND SHOW HOW MUCH OF A MAN WE REALLY ARE...

Nuggets -2.5 vs Rockets (2.5 units)

Falcons -4 vs Chiefs (2.5 units)

If these plays lose then I'm $40 away from where I started and if I win then I'm up $255 from where I was 3 days ago...LOL

I'm also going to be playing a best bet parlay of 11 teams. So far I've got Nuggets -2.5, Falcons -4 the rest are open spots. $10.

Damn guys what a night. Terrible! Now I did play St. Johns NCAAM last night. I saw one of my favorite cappers on them so I had to take them with only 4 minutes to spare until tipoff. Unfortunately, the Nuggets had to lose. I think I capped the game great and we even beat the line by 2.5 points. Oh well, it was only 1.5 units more and we lost, we'll survive. So -$41 yesterday. The worst part of last night was losing $70 yesterday at 25NL. So since I started 25NL a few days ago I am -5 Bi's (-$125). F*ck me, 60% of that lose was due to terrible play by me. Anyway I did get a little RB from ipoker for last month so if I add that I'm really only down $100 in total. I've taken one play so far today...

    Real Madrid +.5

Time to grind some more poker, I currently site at $300. If I get down or really close to $200 I'll move to 10nl. Sports BR is sitting at $294.
