    Live poker is POKER
online is just for fun, i quit doing the online game and now i just dedicate the value time to play live.
Much better results, after 6 months of regular play on the local casino, with an average 6 to 1 so as you can imagine ,i m well in the black. the sad part is that i continued for a few more months playing online and that took quite a bit of the top.
    Sin
play live and your sanity will comeback.

    exactly, Sin, and well-put.....

it's amazing how 80-20 favs actually hold up about 80 percent of the time playing live, while on Shithole Be Rigged Poker they LOSE 86.6 percent of the time, which is my losing percentage while holding 80-20 favorites when the money goes in on this bullshit site this year......

i made some changes in my game donk, and be a bit less aggressive takes away the program factor.
play more conservative , less wild . and i m sure you will see the difference in you results.
i know that every pro put a lot of enfasis on aggression , however, that change that i made live and online (here) has been with positive results.
    good luck

selective aggression is the key, I play relatively tight/aggressive in the 1-3/2-5 cash games in lake charles, LA.... ten straight winning sessions..... feasting on fish trying their luck at poker in a casino live for the first or second time; staying away from aggression vs. the casino regulars unless I have some "meat on the bone"......

the regulars generally lay off each other and perk up only when a fresh new bigshot sits down..... it's like a feeding frenzy when the donks roll in.....

one night, during some sort of military conference in town, me and a few other regulars felted a train of $200 buyin' jarheads that just had to try playin' tx holdem live in a casino for the first time.....

    thanks for the sound advice......

I am glad to read this. Have not played much poker here, but I just thought people were idiots, drunk, bad players etc with what I was seeing. Many times I say "how can he shove that?" then runner runner winner and he looks genius. Seems abt 6-10 players with this "skill" insite into software.

anyone who can run up 8k on a 400 buy in is either good or once worked for Mitre (pronounced Mi-ter), located in the northeast, a software firm that installs superusing technology back door style to its installations, so that it can monitor what you do in your business.....

no coincidence I'm sure that Bi-ter is similarly located in the northeast.....

surprising, as I don't think I've ever seen you lay down hand where you have 4th pair or better.

only decent hand of the night (for me) was those tens filling up to your trips..... though I was about 85 percent certain that a -- no, not a king-- but rather a jack would come on the river to give u quads.....

I did enjoy you slowrolling your kk pockets with the kkx board to annihilate someome..... vnh

That was a tough hand for me as I had doubled up earlier with a set of 9's. I think I small raises with my KJ suited then you came over the top. Tough flop and turn for me but it worked out.

Yes that was against the before mentioned PO69. If you remember he flat folded on the river, blaming a "system error" and claimed he had a small PP and was going to bet out. Good stuff

i had a9 and had folded that hand, and was thinking I wish i hadn't folded when I saw the second k hit the turn, as it made the board kk9small small; and was thinking I might be good .... you played it very well, as I remember saying "Fooooook Mi, Ida gotten crushed...."

    Hey Jake, Right here Buddy...

You Don't care if Austin on purpose ghosted an account here.. But when I did it because I legitimately couldn't access borednaz, you were stalking me like I was your favorite B movie Actress (Actress used loosely).

That aside, I doubt Austin is a ghost and if he is who cares. He's livened up our poker rooms both with good conversation but when that man sits down tables get filled up; much like his point count. I for one think he's a great addition to SBR.

difference is that you did it to avoid paying your debts

if it comes to light that AUSTIN did something similar, then I'll change my tune

at this point there's no evidence that he had another handle

I agree with you on this, Peavs. I'm sure he was under another name on here, but I personally could care less. As long has he's not running from a debt or using one or more handles on here --- which there is zero indication he is -- he's fun to play with.

I can't wait for the day -- many here think it's inevitable -- that I finally cross one line too many, and get banned, only to have my IT specialist wife jimmy up our ip address so I can come back and enjoy new player karma like I did when I first joined this site, and create a similar dialouge.....

this stuff reminds me of when I first poked my head into the sbr poker room several years back......

Embarress myself please. I didn't admit to it because SBR told me not to. Even I even kept asking Shari if I could come clean, Way after even she hinted about it. But Never got the Go Ahead. Once Downsouth Said it was ok when he was a Mod Then I "came clean". I couldn't afford to get banned. I thought SBR would ban me to avoid admitting the mistake.

But I never did it to stiff. I had already stiffed Triple D and could of kept doing so even today if I wanted to be a stiff. Let's be Real here a second. Didn't matter if I had come back as bored, No one except me can make me repay Triple D like I've been. . There was no need to try and hide.

Also if Mike Tizzy is around he can verify I came clean way before I posted my "Outing thread" to him and tried to have him Arrange payment to Triple D. Triple D being his usual Stubborn Self Kept refusing short of me admitting it so I would be banned.

My personal opinion after playing a small amount with Austin is that he seems to be a solid/loose-ish aggressive player. He does not seem to get overly angry when somebody beats him (other than making a small needle/jab).

As Jake said, if other info comes out that changes it, IMHO he is a new and good addition to the poker group.

Super-Aggro/Maniac players are almost good at short handed by default. It's not rocket surgery to play against them though. You just adjust your range accordingly when you figure out their frequencies. They usually have more leaks than the Giants secondary, but many players have trouble adjusting, and you better be prepared to lose some hands. Players like Bite aren't looking to get it in with lesser hands against superior hands, they're looking for spots where they think you've missed the board and they think they can get you to fold. Then what Biter will do after he hits a river card is make a comment and send the other player on tilt...and once you've done that you're fukked. To him (and me too because it's fukkin funny)... Seeing someone go on a poker fueled tilt rage on SBR is worth the price of the points you risk.

As opposed to playing on Bovada or Stars or even live, you can get pissed off, vent at the table, and be done with it. Here you have a platform to vent in the forum, and once you post and pass out for the night...it doesn't go away.

So adjust your range & keep your cool. That's my advice. There aren't any Phil Galfonds here. You may lose a few hands or lose a few sessions vs super-aggro players...but you can win more than you lose over time.

I can attest Austin Russell being a fun poker opponent who is a challenge to play against.

He's a new father. In my book, he's a-ok. He DOES catch too many Aces, tho.
