    37. Write letters to Hershey, Coca Cola, McDonalds...pretty much all the big corporations. Tell them you bought a specific product and it either made you sick or was horrible. They will send you a gift card!

Casino's normally offer free beverage's like soft drinks and beer rightYou might have to go there with your banana seat bicycle or on foot, since gas is expensive and it wouldn't be free

My father used to do this but back then companies would send their products, not gift cards. It started off with him getting a bag of chips with the wrong flavour mixed in and a Kit Kat with no wafer in one of the sticks. Once he realised that the companies would send him free stuff without even asking to see proof, he kept going with other ones to see how much more he could get for kicks. Very embarrassing.

Not really free but saves money: If you buy those dryer sheets that stop static, just cut them into quarters. You don't need a whole sheet to do a load of laundry.

    343. When you hang out with your family/neighbors/friends tell them you're going to the bathroom and take a quick shower. Saves soap/shampoo and water.

Know when "big trash day" is in your neighbordhood (and surrounding). Get a truck and drive around picking up all the appliances people leave by the street. They usually work. Sell for scrap metal or put on craigslist.

You'd still have to run the tap to rinse away the stink.

Piss outside is more like it.

Really. My mom bought me this book "The Tightwad Gazette" when I was starting uni to try to teach me how to save money in the REAL WORLD. That was one of the tips in there. It works!

The book is actually really good too. It's a compilation of newsletters that this woman used to send out. She was married and had 4 kids and somehow her and husband managed to buy and pay off their house, etc just on her husband's quite small salary. Some of the tips are outdated now but for ideas on how to save money at home and that kind of stuff, it's quite awesome. She even does experiments and compares products to figure out the best value for money.

It's unreal how much money I waste as it is, but when ever I go back and read it, I find a new way to save some cash.

Take the nice towels when you stay at a hotel/motel. They will never charge you no matter what because the maids are always illegals and never say anything to management. Done this several times and never had a problem.

Shari, I'm talking about fabric softener sheets, you mentioned anti-static. Noticed it after I posted but didn't edit. I take it they're not the same, I've never seen sheets exclusively for stopping static.

One way to save money is shave your fukkin head, no more pricey haircuts. I haven't paid for a haircut since I was 23 or 24, just razors that I have to buy for shaving the face and other body parts.

It's especially great in the summer, big change from head sweating with a full head of hair.

Yeah not everyone can pull it off. Most can't.

Same thing. The sheets you throw in the dryer to make your clothes soft, their main purpose is to stop static ie those Bounce ones. Try to do a load without one and you'll have sparks flying everywhere when you pull the clothes out.

I just forgot what they were called because they don't have them here. I order them off Amazon or eBay and never look at the proper name on the box.

Yeah I've forgotten at times to throw a sheet in and had to pull apart clothes clung together only to get shocked by the sparks.

i routinely urinate in my front yard. the benefit here is two-fold. first, it prevents me from missing the fuking toilet bowl and making a mess. second, it saves water. the average toilet flush uses 3 gallons of water.

Please refrain from using dryer sheets........highly toxic.........complete waste of money if there ever was one, and unhealthy.

    STOP

In fact, I'm on a crusade to abolish these, along with many other household items.

    They contain chemicals.............

Any chemical is toxic in some form or fashion.........and if you use these, you will be inhaling the fumes all day long on your clothes.

    ABSTAIN

Hope they are abolished sometime in the next few years, or forced to be made completely with natural products.

Using and paying for dryer sheets is HIGHLY -EV, in more ways than one.
