That season that the Bulls put together isn't going to be matched for a long time. You had the best player in NBA history who bought into a strategy that worked from a hall of fame coach and lots of talented role players. The Lakers are just not the same type of team and even if Kobe wins 3 more rings, he is not Jordan.

they won't care enough to do it. the nba regular season is like going to the circus. they go through the motions on most nights. the travel wears down players and being on the west coast means more travel than most teams. there is no incentive to burn out your team in the regular season and have nothing left for the playoffs.

They already have 2 losses. Will most likely have 3 or 4 by then end of this month. This comes up every year, it just isnt going to happen. It isnt even a thought by all star break.

they have the talent and depth to to do it, 60+ is a guarantee but 72 is always gonna be almost a miracle. anyone who says kobe is a bad player is a complete moron! (fact). i hate lebron but im no idiot, hes an idiot and his main play is charging at people without even looking at the basket but he's really really good nomatter what my opinion of him is. bit of a sidenote, celtics are looking really good this year, might have as much chance as la at 72-10???
