Wow 216, you got some pretty detailed opinions in posts 2, 3 and 4. You must be ready to lay some money down with all that insight.
My opinions have me on Penn St +3 and +125 since Sunday and slowly adding to the position where appropriate.
I'll come back to this thread with some probabilities and tracking as well, need to step away for a minute.

Iowa is sneaky good and Penn State is sneaky bad. I think Iowa wins but the line points to a Penn State cover.

I have a hard time putting any faith in Maryland after 5 interceptions.....Ohio St.
Penn st has a much tougher schedule than Iowa and they are just a tougher, better team....Penn St.
and that says alot bc i hate Penn St. Sometimes you have to remove your tampon and think logically.
Michigan just cause.

Iowa and Penn state are both good defensive teams that have issues offensively, the game should be very low scoring

Michigan @ Nebraska (Line is Wolverines -3.5) -- Huskers at home catching points. Lincoln atmosphere will be rocking. i had these two schools pegged in August (documented here on SBR) to both be very improved this year.

Penn State @ Iowa (Line is Hawkeyes -2.5) Both teams play staunch D and while the Hawkeyes O is nothing to write home about, i think they cover the short spread.
Maryland @ Ohio State (line is Buckeyes -21) Buckeyes are a like a runner catching his stride and rounding the corner. they can name the score in the Horseshoe.
If forced, i bet all 3 home teams. likely 2-1 ATS here

Iowa's stock is inflated and its time to sell. Everyone points to ....well they beat the piss out of Maryland. Hell I could put a 6 man team together that will beat Maryland if you are gonna spot me 5 effin interceptions. PSU has a higher talent level and a better QB. Time to disappoint the home crowd. after this Sat, your next big test does not come until 11/26 at Nebraska (yes, if A Martinez is healthy then the huskers can give you problems) and the B1G championship game.
Your D is titts, there is No doubt about it, but your O has to put up teams against the school you play in the B1G title game and the eventual CFP or you will get clipped.
if you played Iowa State 10 times with those stats you had, you would have lost 6 maybe 7, because you had Great D but nothing on O or special teams.

Prior to the 4th quarter, which was well out of hand, Iowa scored on 9/10 possessions. Somehow you make that sound like a bad thing. Their offense is not great, no. But the D played well, the offense scored. Still not good enough? Originally Posted by homie1975

You sound like a PSU or ISU HOMER. Iowa plays to the level of competition. Who wants to get up for Colorado St or Kent State? Colorado actually has a pretty good D line. Iowa is methodical and has a superier coaching advantage, add in the home crowd and its easily an Iowa victory. PSU cant run the ball which means Iowa can just rush 4 all day and sit back and pick off Clifford like they have everyone else so far this year. There is always the chance Iowa loses, I mean its a top 5 showdown so anything is possible, but if there was ever a year Iowa makes a deep run this is it. Petras Isn't gonna beat anybody and put up crazy numbers, but he manages the game well, and does the little things, and makes the plays when needed. Goodson is as good as any back in the Big and he will be a big part of the game plan, running and receiving. Iowa's center is a top 10 draft pick this year, and they always have a solid line. Its actually a lot younger this year then most with some freshman and sophomores, but if there is one position Iowa reloads every year its the line. We have a great TE in Laporta who can wreak some havoc on opposing D's. And our D well they speak for themselves. Not any weak area on D. Should be a fun lower scoring game. I see Iowa winning something like 27-17. No team has scored more than 25 pts on Iowa in almost 30 games played.
