I get contact tracing protocol, I get isolation for positive and sick patients, but testing vaccinated players seem unnecessary and seems to lead to more problems than just letting vaccinated people carry on, positive or not.

If you have a testing policy, you test every one. If you believe in the vaxx as a solution to the world's problems then this is your policy.

You can still get COVID with the vaccine. This was always known, but not shared by the specialist. But the symptoms will be much milder, close to none. This is the same case as if you have not had the vaccine shot, and you had COVID before and had no symptoms.
Everybody's immune system is different, and it's not possible to know how yours will react.
