    RIP Mr Lasorda...
One of the most brilliant managerial moves in baseball history. RIP Tommy

Jo Lasorda once told her husband, or so another of his stories goes, “You love baseball more than you love me.”

“Yes,” Lasorda would agree, “but I love you more than basketball or football.”

Agree completely. Even as a lifelong Giants fan, always respected him. Met him a few times. Was always nice, and took the time to talk and get to know you. Loved talking baseball to the outsiders.

When we win, I'm so happy, I eat a lot," Lasorda told Forbes in 2004. "When we lose, I'm so depressed, I eat a lot. When we're rained out, I'm so disappointed, I eat a lot

Perhaps Lasorda's most famous quote speaks directly to his long-lasting career in the game: "If you love your job, you haven't worked a day in your life."

My dad and I are lifelong Cardinals Fans. This was around 2012. He was cool but giving us shit for wearing our Cardinals gear at Dodger Stadium.
