ESPN all over Utah this morning

    My God

Greenie, Sanchez, everyone saying Utah is going to the playoff because of a weak schedule

Didn't we just see an undefeated UCF team get snubbed despite beating the SEC champs 2 years ago?

These clowns haven't learned a damn thing

    UTAH lol

Wtf you talking bout UCF man? Utes in a power 5 conf. They have a path to the playoff. Still have to win the games but the path is there so nothing like a group of 5.

Not saying they are, saying power 5 schools have a clear path to playoff if they handle their business.

Not saying they won’t make it either tho. Like i said yesterday bout last night gm, it was huge for not only utes but whole pac-12.. the schedule def set up well for them and their d legit. Remains to be seen if the offense is, they could barely move the ball vs BYU, lol.

The ONLY two teams in the nation that have a real good shot at going undefeated are Alabama, and Clemson, who looked very good against a terrible Ga. Tech team last night. No one else can do it. So there should be two teams with one loss who make it in. As good as Utah looked against BYU last night, that is how bad Uceless (UCLA) looked against Cincinnati, so let's not go crazy over the Pac 12 just yet. Let's see what Oregon can do against an average Auburn team. By the way, for those of you who do not bother to look at a schedule (about 95% of you), Utah goes to Washington on 11/2. They also have an easier game, al be it an away game, at USC on 9/20.

    1.Strong defense
    2.Great running game
    3.Discipline

It’s a long season, anything can happen. Toughest game will be at Washington and the pac 12 championship.

Big 12 haven’t play defense in years, and pac 12 need good coaches.

Was a rivalry game, on the road. There defense was stealth.Didnt miss many tackles and was swarming 2 the ball.

    UCF comparison makes no sense.

Utah is in a power 5 comference. They can make the playoff for sure if they run the table.

Utah has yet to beat a ranked team.

The reason they were a pre-season "sleeper" was because everyone knew how easy their schedule was.

They weren't going to get a ranked team until their conference title game.

if utah squeaks by oregon and oklahoma beats baylor by two TDs or more, then oklahoma will likely jump utah.

remember that baylor will probably be ranked #7 in tomorrow night's college playoff release.

where will oregon be ranked and how good will that win look for utah?

then again, the ducks might be the ants to the utes picnic

If Utah beats Oregon, Oregon will drop to like 20.

If OU beats Baylor, Baylor will still be in the top 15.

Thus, OU would own two wins over a team ranked in the top 15 of the final poll and Utah would only have one win over a team ranked in the top 25.

no disagreement. the eye test is seemingly what the committee is looking at. the AP and coaches polls both have Utah ahead of OU so people are seeing something. i think it's because utah is blowing teams out while oklahoma is squeaking by teams (save for this last sat vs okla state).

utah's only loss was to SC who is top 25 in the playoff poll.

oklahoma loss is to k state who has been sinking like a rock since that win vs the sooners.

9.5 dog baylor wins straight up and 6.5 dog oregon beats utah?

thanks for the definitive statement, but both upsets are probably not going to happen.

oklahoma takes care of baylor (too much talent differential and this time the game is on a neutral field)

oregon is a very live dog vs utah for the friday night tilt out in santa clara, CA

i expect justin herbert and the duck O to have a big day.

Would you rather play Oklahoma or Utah? I think most people would choose Utah. I think UCF 2 years ago would beat both teams but I digress. I’m all for 1 or 2 play in games when you have teams that should be in the discussion. Have OU and Utah play a week before at the home venue of whatever team is ranked higher.

K-State and USC are both 8-4.

Don’t you think OU would be blowing out teams like Colorado, Arizona, Etc as well?

I don’t think the #4 team has any shot at wining it this year but I’m not sure why Utah is ahead based on the “eye test” when they’re blowing out a lot of bad teams.

    OU blew out UCLA too...

AP and coaches polls have Utah 5 and OU 6

Tomorrow night the committee will have it the same.

The final score of the k state game was only a 7 point margin but it felt much worse than that.

I'm just being honest with you. Is everyone an idiot who has utah ahead of Oklahoma?

    Mac
that is not how it's done: "who would you rather play?".

that is lazy analysis by a committee of 13 people.

if that's how they did it, then Utah would not be ahead of OU in last week's college playoff poll, as they will be again tomorrow night.

they are also ahead of them in this week's AP and Coaches Poll.

is everyone stupid? no they are not.

i also dislike this question: "who would be favored on a neutral?"

that's not what this is about. it's about who had the better results on the field. right now, the answer is UTAH.

I don’t think OU or Utah have any chance.

I’m just wondering what this “eye test” consists of.

    Utah hasn’t really beaten anyone.

Does the committee think Utah looks like they have better players? If that’s the case, Bama should be in.

A lot of teams would look dominant with Utah’s schedule.

They might be good but their resume isn’t that impressive to this point. If they go out and dominate Oregon then I’ll jump on board.

If they barely win by like 3-7 points I still won’t be sold.
